One of the most popular historical restaurants in Istanbul. We ordered zucchini blossoms and 2 main lamb dishes. The portions were really generous, food genuine, simple and really tasty. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

A nice restaurant hidden at the nook of the spice bazaar. Took the stairs as soon as yiu enter the spice bazaar, and you'll be greeted with Pandeli.
Food was amazing, the dessert was absolutely amazing - this is my first time trying quince, it was wonderful.

We (group of 7) came here for lunch after our visit to topkapi palace. Good thing that we made reservations in advance so we didn’t have to wait for our table.

We were seated near the window with a great view 👍 which was excellent. We started with a round of starters including: Charcoal grilled eggplant salad, tarama (fish dip), pouf (Turkish pastry with cheese and herb filling), pan fried zucchini, spoon pomegranate salad with walnuts. They were all delicious. They were gone in no time!

For entries, we ordered a few Lamb kebabs with roasted eggplant, grilled lamb sirloin, and grilled seabass. Again, the dishes were made to perfection. The only thing I would point out was we would prefer the dish a little bit warmer.

For dessert, we had a few Turkish teas, Turkish coffees with some almond cookies, and Tavukgöğsü (caramelized milk pudding with chicken breast) I was mainly surprised about Tavukgöğsü as I thought it was just sweet chicken breast but gladly not the case. 😅

Overall this restaurant, located inside of spice market, is definitely worth a try if you visit Istanbul. Also keep in mind that this place only open for lunches, no dinners!

The Pandeli is not only a restaurant, it’s also a history of our country. I was able to get a feeling that it was a very special restaurant 100 years before as well. You can imagine where Atatürk has ordered his nice dishes.
We were not there in a very cold day with storm but the Pandeli warmed us with a nice soup and two delicious starters.
The service is very good and professionals were there absolutely.

Pandeli is a vibe ! From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by an enchanting atmosphere. The place looks awesome, the service is on point and the food is out of this world. No surprise it’s got those Michelin stars. Easily one of my top picks in Istanbul m. Can’t wait to swing by again !

Highly recommended! Pandeli is a place where real local tastes are prepared with a masterful technique and served with its unique simplicity, here you can enjoy your meal in a historical place, and if you live here, you will become a regular in a short time. In my last visit I fell in love with quince dessert 😍 You should visit in the middle of the day to be able to access legendary menu items 😃

Go Inside the bazaar entrance and it's right on your left hand side. Really great atmosphere, away from all the crowds and huzzling and buzzling. Nice food and staff as well. Recommend to those who want to try decent Turkish cuisine 👍

Not only a restaurant. Also historical timeline of Turkey for last 100 years.

+ Sea bass is a must but you should try what you see on the menu.
+ Kind and friendly stuff.
+ Unique atmosphere.

- Closed after about 6 pm.
- Sundays are off.

Great space in the spice market with fine service. Easy enough to walk right past it (turn around immediately after you enter) depending on how you came in.

I don’t understand some of the low reviews. The food (zucchini starter and chicken with rice) was excellent and very reasonably priced considering the quality. The portion size was enough to leave me full. Service was brisk but low key, attentive without being rushed.

I can see the Michelin star rating here. Probably best to book as I did.

Only drawback is they close at 1900.

The entrance to Pandeli is tucked into a corner at the entrance to the Egyptian spice market and sits right above it. The decor is vibrant with beautiful blue tiles. The service is super efficient so it's perfect for lunch or a quick stop but the food is anything but fast food. Delicious flavourful dishes that are extremely fresh. This is the perfect place for a shopping pit stop

Perfect place to have a quality meal after or while walking through the Egyptian Bazaar. The service was great and efficient. Food was of that quality you’d expect from a place like this. There’s a nice view (if you can get a table adjacent the windows) and it’s above the Bazaar which offers that peacefulness. It didn’t disappoint.

Pandeli is a must in Istanbul. We came to have an early dinner (5 pm) and had a small feast. The food is delicious (Pandeli is featured on the Michelin guide), the preparations are excellent and the place is historic and filled with amazing anecdotes. Perhaps is more expensive than other places in the area but is worth every lira

Very solid restaurant with just a couple shortcomings. The staff didn't seem super eager to help really any of the customers. It was the last hour that the restaurant was going to be open for the day, and maybe they were tired, but I expected a bit more given the reputation the place has.

Food was great, if you could get it. My first six (!) choices for starters and mains were sold out, but eventually I selected the Sultan's Delight (lamb chunks on mashed, grilled eggplant) and the Spoonmaker's Salad (the traditional Turkish shepherd's salad but dressed up with walnuts and pomegranate molasses), both of which were delicious. For dessert I had the Cherry Bread with clotted cream, which was also fantastic. I really wish I could have enjoyed the dishes I actually chose, however... Seems a bit excessive to be out of more than half of your menu.

Prices were just slightly higher (maybe 20%) than other restaurants, but for the ambiance and location, it was completely expected and worth it. I definitely would recommend Pandeli to anyone visiting Istanbul!

Absolutely delicious meal and very reasonably priced for the quality. We first tried to go during Eid but as the spice market was closed so was Pandeli.
The Sultan Delight (lamb and eggplant puree) and the kebap were to die for. Turkish wines were lovely, and the artichoke cooked in oil was so tender. Definitely coming back and recommend to everyone in Istanbul.
Only downside is there isn’t many vegetarian options.

It's something else. It's inside a small bazaar near the entrance. The food is top quality and really tasty. The service is really kind, fast and available.
A must here in Istanbul I'd you want to try local food.

Delicious authentic cuisine in a convenient location. The staff were very accommodating and nice to greet us. All of the meals we had were very tasty. Our favorites were the lamb sultan and the grilled sea bass! Definitely add this to the list of things to do when your at the Spice Bazaar!

Our Guide Cengiz took us to this wonderful restaurant when we were at the Spice Market. The Cerulean Tiles gave this historic place such an insta worthy feel.

We ordered a couple of dishes to try. The anchovies and rice were really good - it wasn't too fishy at all, and the grilled anchovies had a wonderful umami taste. The Lamb and Eggplants were also delicious, the Turks really know how to prepare their eggplants.

We also had this local Turkish licorice liquor that was stronger than vodka, they poured water to the shot and it turned white. Got me in the mood quickly.

Definitely worth a stop here for the good food.

Went for lunch and it was fantastic. Waited 15 mins for a table for 4 without reservations. We got the okra, zucchini flower, rice stuffed leaves, grilled bass with spinach, and lamb kabab with eggplant.

Had a lovely meal here on a Tuesday. Got here at about 6pm and it wasn’t that crowded. Really enjoyed the charcoal grilled eggplant and the roast lamb with rice. The fish ball and mashed beans was so so only. A few dishes were already sold out that time of day. Pricey but loved the experience. Had a great table with a view too!

PS - steep staircase to head to the restaurant.. so not for those with mobility concerns.
