Sultanahmet Buhara Kebab House Restaurant

Walked past and dropped in for lunch, was very surprised by the incredible service and great food that was given to us.

We were served by a gentleman called Mohamed who was very nice and friendly.

Personally, I had Fish and white wine as the main course but the restaurant gave us multiple bits of bread beforehand and nice tea and dessert that was freely included

The waiter is super nice and the food is also very good! One of the best places I have tried in Istanbul. It's really worth the money :-)
Ah! And you can order beer!!

Visited in raining day so terrace was closed. But anyway totally enjoyed food, atmosphere and service. Recommend you to visit this place if you are near

Great food and great service.

We found this place through tiktok and it was amazing! We got the Ottoman Iskander and I kid you not it was the best meal I’ve had in turkey! They were lovely people with great service!

One of the best experiences we had in Istanbul. We came by this restaurant as a recommendation from a local. The food is great, the service - excellent. Several on-the-house goodies make it even more enjoyable and surprising. Special thanks to our server, Askeri, who, besides the impeccable service, also gave us the best food suggestions when requested.

We visited this place for lunch. Upon arrival they served us complimentary freshly made pita bread with aubergine dip. We ordered ottoman platter for two, which was quite impressive. The meat in the platter was well grilled and it was tasty. After our meal we received complimentary baklava and tea.

The food was really great. The hospitality was great as well, it is a very welcoming place. I definitely would recommend it if you like typical Turkish food. I would suggest the lentil soup. We came really early to eat so it was not crowded at the beginning. When we left it got really crowded so I guess that it would be a good thing to make a reservation.

Buhara is a fantastic place for dinner near the Hagia Sophia. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. We went there twice during our stay because it is that good! To drink, we had the house rose and an Efes Beer and both were great. They brought a huge puff bread and eggplant dip for the table to start which was quite good. My sister has celiac and is allergic to gluten so he brought out carrot and cucumber with hummus for her to eat. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about celiac so she felt very safe here. We had the Iskendar Kebab and loved it. The meat was cooked well and it was covered in a delicious sauce. The Adana kebab is also excellent with a perfect amount of heat and spice. The best dish we had was the Alinazik kebab. The meat on the bed of yogurt and eggplant was divine. It was also garlicky which is something we love. Their pides are also good, a nice portion size. For my sister who is gluten free she had a Beyti Kebab which was safe for her. He assured that the fries are in a dedicated fryer so there would be no cross contamination for her so we felt good. They also brought baklava and a fruit plate since she is gluten free and tea for dessert The Baklava was one of the best we had in turkey! Overall this is an excellent restaurant with great service and it is a must try in Istanbul.

Amazing surprise! What an incredible restaurant! The food is local and we'll cooked, the staff is more than welcoming!
This is one of these places where you wouldn't typically stop by judging the cover, but that is eventually truly worth it :)
Try the grilled meat platter (ottoman mix), that is an absolute marvel in which you won't know what was best!
Highly recommend!

Awesome food! We order vine leafs wrap, Turkish pizza and chicken wings. A must to order the chicken wings, superb! Mohamed was such a friendly and attentive person to approach! Very nice place to have a proper dinner yet also for a drink!

satisfying dinner. filling yet affordable price. Fish is fresh, chicken shish kebab is juicy and well marinated. staffs are friendly. have both indoor and outdoor seating. went on Friday night and not too packed. was served apple tea instead of the traditional Turkish tea.

Excellent place ! Typical atmosphere with music and decoration. You feel really good in the place. The food was just amazing. Everything is tasty with good prices. Waiters are really nice, and share advices and places. Tea as a gift. I recommend 200%.

Food was delicious. Ordered hummus with pita and chicken kebab. They gave us complementary baklava and fruits platter. Nice ambience and people.

Amazing Staff...each and everyone were polite and helpful.

And sometimes if you are lucky, you will get great table neighbours...
When you are done...you leave happy and you want to share your happiness....

We received a recommendation from our hotel to visit this restaurant. We were tired and it was between 9:30 and 10 pm. My husband and I went and were seated immediately as there were only two others in the restaurant at this time. We were going to share our food since it was late and ordered the mixed appetizer, garlic kebab, and shepherd salad. We were immediately offered hot bread and small cheese plate and water. When we ended our meal they brought us complimentary Turkish chai and baklava. The staff was excellent- so friendly and polite, especially Muhammet. We will try to go back before we leave inshallah.

This is one of the best places for their friendly service and accommodating. We had dinner for 12 people their and they bent backward to make that happen. The food was really good and the appetizers were delicious to. Highly recommended if you want to have a good Turkish food and in a busy area but quite at the same time.

We dined alfresco with the wonderful weather. Food is superb, especially the chicken wings. Our server Mohammed is delightfully friendly as well. Enjoyed our meal here, will definitely come back if we come back to Istanbul.

Amazing service and delicious food!!! We ordered 2 of the Ottoman Kebab platters and it was enough for our group of 10 people. The service was phenomenal, so attentive and friendly and funny. Close walking to the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, so great to checkout for some tourist stuff. Yelmas was our server and would 100% come just to see him again!

This was a good little place with great atmosphere and friendly staff, seating was good but we got a table near the door which my wife has to close many times as cold wind was rushing inn. Food was great and place was busy
