Taksim Tourism Police

Wonderful Guys. Very helpful. I've left my backpack in a taxi. I was sort of disappointed to find it as I didn't have any way to find it. I approached the tourism police in Taqsim square and they put a lot of effort to find the taxi for me by checking the security cameras. I got my backpack just in a couple of hours.

These guys are seriously amazing. We left our cell phone in a taxi and the tourism police did everything and more to help us get it back AND THEY ACTUALLY FOUND IT!! they even helped us get bus passes to ensure we got home safely. Very friendly and accommodating group of people!! Teşekkürler!!

We forgot our cell phone on a taxi. We didn’t have any info of the taxi. The tourism police officer find the taxi plate through the cameras of the area that we hop off. And then he call the taxi driver and he bring us our cell phone.
The tourism police officer was really helpful.

I had the pleasure of interacting with these police officers. I got lost my mom in the crowd. I walked around in the crowd and looked for her for 15 minutes, and could not find her anywhere. Her mobile was off. We are tourists in a foreign country. I turned to the police for help in finding her and they sent me to the police station, I went there and was faced with incredible indifference. The policeman directly told me in English “I don’t understand you”, although he had previously communicated with me fluently in English. He demonstrated maximum indifference. After that I ran to the tourist police, no one helped me, they sent me back to the same police station from which I came. I was essentially a “hot potato” being tossed between the police. But no one wanted to help in any way! By this time, 30 minutes had already passed since the last time I saw my mother! But not a single policeman took the initiative, showed concern, or did anything! My experience in Turkey is terrible, I never want to return to this country and will advise all my friends to not choose this country for vacation.

Rude and aggressive police. It says they are there 24/7 however when we went there for help as we had our phone and wallet stolen at 7.30pm on a busy Sunday evening, they were no were to be found. Do yourself a favour and go straight to Karaköy Police station, don’t even waste your time going to Taksim police station as they are the worst if your a tourist.

This is a joke of a police.
Phone stolen. We went there right away. They told us come in two hours.
Two hours later they told us to come back in 3 hours. Three hours later they told us to come the day after.

This game continued for 2 days.
They are probably part of the gang that steals cellphones and wallets in the area.

Useless. We are physically assaulted by some locals and the police did not lift a finger. We waited for them but no one showed up. When we went to the police station they couldn’t do anything neither.

All of my clothes were stolen from a bag that sat in-front of a restaurant with cameras pointed at the location where the clothes were stolen. The officers never went to check the camera footage.

Bad and unfriendly staff. No help for stolen wallet. Useless people

They were closed since 11 i tried everything to reach them i went to the turkish police station also they said bring a human translater i had a translater on my phone but they didnt help me they kept sending to to other places i tried to report such a small problem about my wallet that was left in a taksi it was all recorded in the camaras of my hotel but no one helped me

Very poor police , when i go to police they don’t respond every one is keeping sends me to other and so on. Finally i got tired
