Location and the view of bosphorus from the museum was so great. Garden of the house also nice. This house belonged to Tevfik Fikret who is important author of Turkish literature, his tomb is in garden.
The nice thing about this museum is that you can download an app from play store or apple store that help you to gain information while touring the rooms via sound but i dont know app has an English language.

Asiyan (Ashian) museum is the house of a famous Turkish artist which is built in early 1900s'. This is a beautiful house with no entrance fee which deserves watching.
It also provides a good panoramic view over Bosphorous (Bogaz).
Don't miss it while being in Istanbul.
I should mention that taking photos inside of the house is forbidden but there are lots of beautiful stuffs.

Must see for insights into life in 1900 and the start of the westernization revolution that culminated in the 1923 Republic.

Great views.
Tip: take the incline up, then walk down to the museum. Afterwards, finish by walking to the bottom of the hill, where you'll be at the Bosporus.

Visiting the museum is free. However you can leave a tip (completely optional) for the audiotape which provides information about the house. The staff asks the visitors to deposit their ID during their time in the museum and gives it back when they return the audiotape. The interior of the house was carefully renovated so the ornaments and furniture mostly feel like they have been there for decades. Especially for those who have some background info about Tevfik Fikret and his era, it is almost a window to early 1900s.

The museum is dedicated tho the great poet and artist of the century turn. Tevfik Fikret has lived and produced majority of his works in this self modelled mansion. This is a top sight to aspire the last century's idealistic and artistic atmosphere and admire a great personality.
For groups I strongly advise to make reservations.

A museum specialized on one of the most important poets of the early 1900s. Poet, painter Tevfik Fikret designed his house himself, named it Aşiyan (bird's nest). Free entrance. Beautiful view.

Aşiyan Museum is the house of famous Turkish poet Tevfik Fikret at Aşiyan neighborhood of Beşiktaş district in Istanbul. It was built in 1906 and later in 1945 converted to a museum.

Tevfik Fikret lived in the house from 1906 until his death in 1915. The building was acquired in 1940 by the municipality from his wife Nazime with the initiative of Lütfi Kırdar, Mayor and Governor of Istanbul, and was converted into a museum named Museum of New Literature (Ottoman Turkish: Edebiyat-ı Cedide Müzesi‎). The museum opened in 1945. The museum was renamed Aşiyan in 1961 after the remains of Tevfik Fikret, which initially were buried at the Eyüp Cemetery, were taken to his home's yard he liked very much due to its panoramic view of Bosporus.

Tevfik Fikret designed the architectural project of the house by himself, and named his house "Aşiyan", which means "nest" in Persian language. The house is a three-story wooden building within a garden.

Reached via a steep climb from the shores of the Bosphorus between Bebek and Rumelihisarı, this well-preserved house was built by the poet Tevfik Fikret. Its name, Aşiyan, is Farsi for the bird's nest. Among the highlights is the last Caliph's painting Fog, given to the poet as a companion to his poem of the same name, an extended metaphoric riff on the oppressive politial atmosphere of late-Ottoman Istanbul. Place is owned and operated by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipilty. It is hard to get here and go back but don't miss it when you are around. Also do not forget to take audio guide, it helps a lot and is free if charge.
