Set Balik is a favorite fish and seafood restaurant for many locals in İstanbul. Set serves unique dishes. It is a historic restaurant with a very modern face, serving generations long. It is must visit place. We love to dine there with family. Highly recommended. Reservations is a must. I suggest you to try different warm appetizers your server recommends for the day. Similar recommendation is valid for the fish.

One of the best seafood restaurants I have been to. The food and staff are fantastic! The view was mesmerizing. It oversaw the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge. A perfect spot for a fancy quiet date!

Nice view! And delicious mezzes. I love this place. The waiters are all kind and helpful. Honestly speaking I cannot think of anything negative about this restaurant. Every time I go there, I have difficulty choosing what I wanna eat as everything they serve is excellent!

Probably one of the best fish restaurants in Istanbul. A friend of mine suggested it and I got to try Hamsi, Mezgi, Palamut, salad and meze 😍 Food was great and price was definitely worth it 💯 The only thing that I didn’t like, there wasn’t a non smoking area, so having kids of age 3 was probably not the best idea. Overall, our experience was great and we left full and happy 😊

Majority of fish restaurants in istanbul are full of surprises. Either with surprisingly high bills or with unexpectedly bad food. Set is not one of them. Both quality of food and P/P ratio are always consistent. It is a must try restaurant. The sole note might be: it is not a romantic dinner or special occasion place.

It was fantastic. Loved it. Food that were being served there were delicious. Restaurant has an amazing view to bosphorus strait and is located in one of the most elegant districts of Istanbul. Personnel was also friendly and attentive. I highly recommend to visit this place.

One of the best place for warm and friendly atmosphere in Istanbul. The different mezes give you an extraordinary culinary adventure. The stuff were so friendly and efficient.

Great restaurant with their fix menu. Service and food quality is very good.

It was pretty tasty and yummy. Since I live in California, I'm exposed to a lot of seafood places. This one was a little different. They prepared and served the food in an interesting way. Eating out in Turkey is an experience, and this place was no exception I spent about three hours in the resteurant saloon. The view of the Bosphorus was also stunning.

Owner/manager of the restaurant was engaging himself with different tables, so he checked the tables himself. Although he did not come to our table, it was interesting to see how he engaged with his customers. Bravo! I'll definitely visit again.

This location has it all-views and delicious dishes. There are a wide range of "mezes" and fish dishes to select from. The table placements allows you to enjoy the view of the bridge and the seating is very comfortable. You can also choose between indoor and two outdoor seating zones. Additionally, I would like to note that the waiters are very quick and considerate to all needs. Great place! Also, they accept both card and cash.

This place is cash only and if you are going for dinner, having a reservation is highly recommended. Perfect for afternoon raki& meze sessions during weekdays and for big groups. They have special hot and cold fish starters which you can not find in any other places and they are always fresh and delicious. Staff is very helpful and respectful. I wouldn't recommend this place for a romantic dinner, more of a casual place.

I like this place quite a bit. We like the cold and hot starters rather than main dishes.
Fener sis and eksi tatli fener kofte ( anglerfish skewers and sweet/sour angler fishballs) are my favorites. Also decent are soya soslu uskumru ( mackarel in soy sauce), balik manti ( fish “dumpling”), hardalli levrek ( mustard marinated sea bass) and pezik yataginda levrek ( bass on a bed of beet greens)

The best on the Bosphorus for fresh fish and mezzes

Three (thin) persons, 650 liras. The most expensive thing was the wine. A bottle of nice Turkish red wine. It probably cost like 200-250 liras. Oh, they also started to accept plastic money... Our starters were fresh yummy and great. I dont know why people here complain. Maybe if you have dinner during working days then some of the food may be one or two days old, just like it happens at home. I went on friday, the place was full and the food delicious. If you are planning to have dinner on FRI, SAT, or SUN, do call 1 day in advance to make a reservation

Fish restaurant located near the seaside. Perfect for big groups of friends or families. There is a variety of starters, I recommend the fish kebab, and the main courses are delicious, the fish was very well cooked.
I did not see any tourist though.

A brilliant place to have seafood with a drink. Would recommend having multiple courses. This established restaurant has always had a wide range of different fish on the menu.
