Really nice place, tasty food. We liked Italian soup, also pasta was tasty. Cocktail sangria was amazing. Highly recommend this place

Cozy place with delicious food. This is a restaurant with homemade lemonade, thin-crust pizza and delicious Caesar salad. The balance of tastes and a pleasant surprise from the Turkish service. The friendly and open owner set the table and kept up the conversation with pleasure. Will be back again to try the homemade pasta and buratta.

I guess this place opened in recent times, as this fact I waive from some lacks in staff service and gave this place five star. Food quality is fine, design and atmosphere are comfortable. Prices could be better. We were two person, for a pasta, Caesar salad, one glass of wine and a beer paid 753 TL in total. Thank you.

The place is so aesthetically pleasing. The service is very polite and friendly. Oh and the food.. it is a must try it if you are in Istanbul! The mushroom risotto was the highlight. I would highly recommend it!

Exceedingly good food with a cozy, warm ambiance. The proprietor takes great care with the dishes and it feels like you’re being cooked for by a private chef. 10/10 👍👍. I look forward to coming back. The chocolate soufflé is a delectable way to finish your meal.

A hidden gem in the middle of Moda. I came here with my family back when it opened and was thrilled to discover it is still here all these years later. We came midafternoon on a Sunday, it was very calm. The space is small and limited in seating, but cozy. The kitchen is in the same space and they prepare your food to order. It is a simple menu that rotates weekly, there are local wine selections as well as a variety of Italian vintages. We had the bruschetta (very good), a couple glasses of the house red wine and the Mediterranean (Karadeniz) Fettuccine. All of it was fantastic. It is certainly higher priced than some places in the city, but I look forward to returning very soon. The quality of their food and service is unmatched.

I hesitate to recommend this respite from chaos for my fear of the barbarian hordes who will soon descend upon the gracious owner, chef and waitstaff. For lovely Turkish wine or hand made pasta from local ingredients enjoyed in a peaceful corner of Moda, I know not a better refuge.

Finding a meal for a person with allergies to gluten and dairy in Istanbul is quite a challenge, especially so in an Italian restaurant. I chef was able to accommodate my requests to craft a healthy, delicious plate for me. The food was superb, and the cozy atmosphere was welcoming! Great place, excellent food and outstanding service.

I found this restaurant through a google review and so wanted to pay it forward. Me and a friend of mine came here intrigued and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered their special pizza and their lasagna. Their pizza was amazing and so was their lasagna. The crispy cannoli at the end was better than any i had had before this. Definitely give it a try. Overall the service was good and we didn’t wait long for our food.

The establishment is pretty small in size so i would recommend calling beforehand just to make sure they have space. we arrived around 9 and waited about 15-20 ish minutes before we were served and i didn’t mind the wait at all. The place has a really good aesthetic.
As an added note, you should be expecting low-mid level US prices for the food. Everything included, it came to be around 30$ per person. You mileage may vary from 20-50$ per person.

Overall, I see a lot of future for the restaurant and would definitely suggest checking it out.

Great food and service. The people there are so nice. Everything was delicious and authentic. Really fresh and quality ingredients. Very accommodating and gracious. Will definitely eat here again.

I wasn’t very hungry but wanted to try more food in Moda so I stepped into this restaurant as it looks homely and wasn’t busy, and even though I was rather full, i still found the pasta appetising and delicious. It was fresh pasta and cooked al dente. Flavours were delicious quite balanced but the sauce was a little “watery” or thin and was not viscous enough to cling to the pasta, but the portion was hearty. I really liked that the Chef is also the owner and serves up the food, so it feels quite intimate and cosy. I also liked that the menu is simple, with fresh fettuccine as the base and with different flavours/sauces. They also have a range of salads. Last but not least, after ordering they give you a free Appetizer which is a really good crispy bread with olive paste and oil! That was a pleasant surprise! That being said, I was stuffed after the meal. Would definitely come back next time I’m in Istanbul on an emptier stomach.

We loved this intimate restaurant with big flavours. We were amazed at the generous portions. I'd definitely go again. Small but good wine list too!

As an Italian living in Istanbul, Semolina is a wonderful taste of home. I have been here countless times, and it never disappoints. The pasta is all hand made in an authentic, traditional manner, and they seem to use very high quality ingredients in order to achieve a taste you won't forget. The staff and owners are incredibly attentive and kind. Finally, the ambience is warm, cozy, and charming. For a taste of Italy in Kadıköy, go to Semolina!

Wow! One of the best meals of my life. You can taste every fresh ingredient and love in every bite. I would have never thought that my favorite carbonara would be from a tiny little restaurant in Istanbul! Thank you so much for a great experience. Do yourself a favor and order the chocolate soufflé for dessert. 🤤😋
