Kadı Lokantası

One of the best places to taste original Turkish food, they have so many different traditional food, deserts, soups, salads and everything. The prices are so reasonable and cheap, the taste is what you expect from Turkish cuisine, sometimes it gets so crowded but I think you can find a place to enjoy your meal. Recommend it if you are in kadikoy and what to try a lokanta other than doner and kebab.

Busy place, a canteen, I needed some soft cold food after dental implant so visited this place. Got 2 packet of vegetables and pilav for 85TL. The vegetables were tasty and chilled and waited for the rice too go cold before consuming.

We visited Kadı Lokantası today, May 11, 2023. The lokanta (traditional local popular restaurant) is located at the start of “old Kadikoy”, pedestrian street area. The restaurant serves meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes (Turkish food). The quality of the food is very good. Especially, if one visits around lunch 12 PM up till 1800 hrs PM in the evening . The food is non-greasy, not over salted and not overcooked. It is quite cheap, we had a total of seven (7) vegan dishes: white beans (2) in tomato sauce, spinach, cold potatoes with spices, green beans cooked in tomato sauce, bulgur, cauliflower in tomato sauce and two water 0.5 L total price just 163.50 TL (USD 8.35). The food was filling with relative large portion sizes. Bathrooms were impeccable clean. There are two floors. Highly recommended. See photos for entire menu and prices as well as food dishes :-)

The combination of various dishes, suitable portions and fresh ingredients, made me consider this place as a place to buy and eat food. I hope you enjoy the food here, the best time to eat is lunch and there is more variety.

Cafeteria style with many different Turkish dishes. Food is cooked daily and fresh! Every dish I tried was delicious. Best of all cost an unbelievable 4 USD! Almost forgot no wait time!

Simply superb. All made out of fresh ingredients. Super clean - almost hospital inert. No tourists around here (they're gone to Ciya Sorbasi, where they'll pay 4 folds). I had lunch (see my pictures) for 3$. Yes, 3$. And it was WELL ABOVE GOOD. it was exquisite. When you rate something guys, please have the price in context.
One last word, when in doubt, and money not an issue, go to the Ritz.

I have my lunch here everyday. Clean, affordable and helpful staff. Meals range from 10 lira to 25 lira depending on what you take. Its self service by the way.

Good selection of dishes, was with friends with different preferences, but all enjoyed their meals a lot. Its a nice self service restaurant in a main shopping street. The food eas also quite cheap, so excellent value for money.

The vegetable dishes are to die for! For a very cheap price. I love it here

Nice place to eat regular food at very reasonable prices. They have a lot of choice, the food is great and generally I spend about 50 liras for one regular meal that includes some grain and meat. Extremely nice service if you don't like to spend huge buck and I come here regularly

value is extremely good. we had about 5 vegetarian things and all were an 8 out of 10, but 10 out of 10 for value. cost about 85 lira for 2 people inc a drink. extremely straightforward ordering system and nice place to sit. Great place. get some in the UK!

Heavenly Turkish cuisine, this restaurant is a continuous ode to the traditional dishes. Upon entering it's easy to feel impressed by the sheer modernity of this modest cantine - the ample spaces and modern simple designs balance with the coziness of the warm environment and smiles of the staff. You could call it home. The menu is designed to offer an enormous diversity of family-style-cooked dishes that will make you excited just by looking at them. Sometimes food tastes like when you put 3 day old leftovers in the microwave for too less time but that's part of the experience. At the end of the day this restaurant is always there for you when you need it. And sure you could get disappointed but you won't because you paid so little that you realise that taste is relative. Your mom will one day be gone but Locanta will be here for you. Whether you are having a good or a bad day, whether you are alone or with friends, Kadı Locantası will receive you with open arms and a below average meal that will fill your belly and your heart.
