The best place in Istanbul that I have ever visit during my Erasmus🫶🫶 This man introduced me to Turkish cuisine properly and I came back many times. It was my sole gift to celebrate my birthday with his food💛💛 please don't sleep on this place, it's amazing. And the owner speaks English and you can pay by card which is perfect for a foreigner.

Hands down our best meal in Istanbul. This is a hidden gem, situated on the first floor in a small room overlooking the Bosphorus. You can choose from the daily menu options prepared daily by the friendly owner.

The most unique place with a soul homemade food, a Sweet family running the place, it's tiny with few seating areas but it's so cozy and home like , it's a must visit if you're around the Asian side and you want to try an authentic Turkish homemade food.
It might be hard to find, as the place on the second floor and the entrance is from Enal cay evi.

Tiny home-cooking restaurant. Seats about 16 guests. You choose from the prepared / precooked dishes presented on the counter of the kitchenette-style part of the room on first floor. Very friendly patron. Food tastes excellent and included many seasonal ingredients we had noticed while strolling over various markets.

Wandered in after a wave to come in from the owner at the window. Best choice ever. Delicious meal. Super unassuming. Whatever is available, sample it all. I especially loved the stuffed artichoke and the eggplant dish. So glad the owner was able to give me half of the artichoke as the platter was pre-ordered by others.

The restaurant is upstairs. Seats are limited and quarters are tight.

It was a absolutely amazing experience!! Super nice owner - helped us a lot with the different options and was very flexible when it came to different size of portions (we where 8 people and wanted to share a bit of everything) From vegetarian options to non-veg it was all absolutely delicious and worth the price!!! Will definitely come again!

Lovely casual spot with yum vegetable based dishes and friendly service. We loved the stuffed artichokes and the okra with cherries, but every dish in general was delicious and worth a try. It’s a small place upstairs — make sure to look up from the street otherwise you’ll miss it.

This tiny second floor spot served me the best artichoke bottom with favas that I have ever eaten. Oh so tender with touch of citric sourness perfectly balanced by a hint of sugar. Die, die, must try. Elevated home cooking in the rest of each days selections.

I just love this place. It’s my favorite little gem in the whole asian side of Istanbul. Food is simple and delicious and homemade. Several vegetarian options. But the hospitality, atmosphere and vibes are exceptional. I think it’s must visit when in Uskudar/kuzguncuk.

I can for sure say that visiting this lovely place was the highlight of my trip to Istanbul because of the way it made me (us) feel and the memories I’ll cherish! It is rather small (just heads up), but cosy place.. to me that has just contributed to the homy atmosphere- as if I was at some friend’s/ relative’s dining room. The food is delicious, finger-licking, home-cooked food and the prices are affordable. But what makes this place beyond special is honest and warm approach of the owner/ host. I will recommend it to any of my friends/ colleagues going to Istanbul, but also to the people of the internet. You won’t regret it!
p.s. the entrance is marked with the red arrow (through another store), and Hatice Anne Ev Yemekleri is upstairs (green arrow).

This restaurant & the surrounding neighborhood was definitely one of the highlights when I visited Istanbul!!

Was a bit hard to find as its on the 2nd floor but when I visited there was a warm atmosphere, friendly owner, and a variety of delicious meat & vegeterian (eg artichoke, eggplant) homecooked dishes!

Half or full portions that at least in my case ranged from ~60-150 lira each

We just found the place on Google maps and the food was amazing. It’s a deli that you can eat in but the food was much nicer than some of the touristy restaurants we went to in Sultanamhet. The owner is very friendly.
