A great mosque by world standards. However, in Istanbul it’s a little less grand when compared with the super grand mosques such as Fatih, Sultan Ahmet, and Hager Sophia mosques.
All the same, an excellent mosque and worth a visit.
As with all places of worship in the moslem culture, no tickets are required. Maybe closed to tourists and non praying visitors during key prayer times.
It’s right opposite the grand Istanbul University, whi hbos also worth a visit when in the area.

As far as I am aware, you don't need tickets to visit the house of God. I heard the azaan, call to prayer and went in. I was taken aback but the shear magnitude of the building. The attention to detail of all the elements. The internal dome seems higher than the mosque is wide. The lighting is another aspect that really add to ambience of the mosque. If you are around worth a visit. It is very peace. From the outside to the courtyard to the main area. Feel free to ask questions.

I had the honor to visit Beyazit mosque or Bayezid II Mosque, Instanbul, as referred in different places, was constructed between 1500 and 1505 by Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II, It was the second largest imperial mosque complex to be erected after the conquest on 1453.

Beautiful architecture, though the chief architect is not directly known, but he did a great job. The mosque is opposite to the opposite of Islamic University and is close to the train/subway station and therfore accessible. It is at a walkable distance from the Grand Bazar.

If you're in Istanbul, you should definitely check out the Beyazit Mosque. It's a beautiful building that represents Ottoman architecture and it's located in a lively area called Beyazit Square where there are many shops and restaurants around. The mosque's exterior is striking with detailed tile work and tall minarets, but the inside is even more breathtaking with its beautiful patterns and designs that create a peaceful atmosphere.

The mosque is an interesting place to visit if you're curious about Islamic history and Turkish culture. However, keep in mind that it's an active place of worship, so make sure you dress modestly and take off your shoes before entering. Overall, the Beyazit Mosque is a unique and inspiring experience that's worth the visit.

A large and beautiful mosque with a sense of spirituality. Its expansion and development has been completed and it is now in the final stages. There are external facilities that follow the mosque as well. There is a public garden and there are many markets around the mosque such as the Egyptian market, Grand Bazaar, also the tram station, and you can visit the mosque at any time and pray and wander outside and enjoy In place and quiet, next to the mosque there are corn sellers

Beautiful masjid. We were walking in fatih Istanbul and you can’t miss it. Wasn’t that busy tbh. Maybe it’s because blue masjid and hagia sofia is nearby.

Words can't explain this beautiful mosque. Bayezid Mosque is one of the most commonly photographed mosques you will see on brochures and websites pertaining to Istanbul. It is located in Bayezid Square, a space which is iconic in itself, as it is very close to the Forum of Theodosius of Ancient Constantinople remains. Nowadays, Bayezid Mosque stands next to Istanbul University and within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar, in the Fatih/Sultanahmet historic region of Istanbul.

The Unique History of the Bayezid Mosque
Bayezid Mosque dates back to 1501, with building completed in 1506. This is the oldest, currently standing selatin mosque in the city. To explain what that means, a selatin mosque is a mosque which was originally built on orders and in the name of a specific Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. In this case, Sultan Bayezid II ordered the mosque to be constructed, and he wanted a full mosque complex in imperial style, which means the mosque stands in the centre of the complex, and around it you will find various other important buildings, such as a Turkish bath, school, hospital, etc.

Nobody really knows who designed the Bayezid Mosque, however we do know that it was the second mosque complex of its kind to be built in the city after the Ottomans took over Constantinople. Whilst many architects’ names have been linked to the mosque, there is no firm answer on who’s work it was.

Unlike other famous mosques, this mosque is a local mosque, and hardly any tourist goes in. It is as beautiful as other mosques. You can go in and have a relaxed visit.

Beyazit Mosque sites directly at the Beyazit square, in the front of Istanbul University. I saw this mosque firstly when I sat in the Tram 1 and I decided to visit this mosque. It was a splendid moment to visit and pray in this beautiful God's house.
