Medina Solaria And Thalasso

We had originally booked at another hotel, but it was so dirty that we decided after one night to change. We came to the Medina Hotel without a reservation, and Mhadheb Elfahem at reception was so incredibly helpful and accommodating. He immediately opened a room so that we could look and see that it was clean before even making a booking. And yes, the room was clean, everything as expected for a 5 star resort. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you Medina Hotel for saving our vacation.

Had a wonderfull week of vacation there. Some plus and minus points, but all in all good stay.

The food:
Mediocre, what they have is usually good and well prepared, but choice is limited and lacks a bit of variation.

Cleanliness:
Everything was nice and clean. Daily room cleaning, new towels, ... they do a nice job. Minus point would be the gardens, the gardening needs to be better.

Staff:
Everyone is extremely warm, friendly and helpfull. They will go far to make sure you have a wonderfull stay. From the people at the bar to waiters, cleaners and receptionists...they are all wonderfull people.

Excursions:
The hotel offers some excursions. Everyone is free to join or not to join although truth to be told you pay tripple the price then if you would on the streets. Pirate boat trip for example was +30 euro P.P. in the hotel. At the kiosk at the marina i pad 8 euro P.P.

Pool:
Awesome animation there, more on that later. The pool was nice, clean. Good size. Has a good bar with it.

Beach:
A lot to improve. The gras is...gone, the sand has a lot of plastic and dirt, ... not that well maintained. Usually i preffer the beach but this time i passed.

Animation:
This...was...amazing. i have never ever, and i travel oftenly, had an animation team like this. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time. During the day they offer several nice activities e.g. water polo, petanque, zoomba, table tennis etc... and at night they always make sure there is something really nice as well. The way they do it...the passion they put into it and the bond they create with the guests is amazing.

Overall:
Its a really nice hotel, rooms are a bit outdated furniture wise but well maintained. I had a great stay however ... based on the rooms, food, .... i would not rate it 5 stars. 4 at most. But, the animation team does it and makes it a 5* hotel after all. I hope for the owners they can keep the animation team together there, because thats what really makes it a 5* hotel.

Location great is very close to the beach, the food is decent, the staff (Moez and team) were great and very helpful.

A wonderful hotel with a wonderful attitude from the staff. The animators are young and smiling, and they can make you do things you didn't expect you could, even if you didn't manage it in the most successful ways, a pleasant feeling of entertainment remains. congratulations to all the staff for an enjoyable holiday and I would be happy to come back again.

This hotel provides a homely and very caring feeling. Given the 5 star rating can be seen in the attention given to cleaning and maintaining the hotel.
There are lots of shops right outside the hotel however we visited the first week of April 2023 so the local area was very quiet but the hotel had lots of area to cater for.

Excellent staff. Very kind, accommodating and amazing energy. Great resort and no complaints. Also shoutout to them baking an entire custom cake for my fiance for his birthday. Believe it or not I did not give them a heads up about his day or ask them to do it. Receptionist must have made a note of it when we were checking in with our passports.

The welcome was great, greeted with some delicious orange juice and receptionist Taeib was very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean, cleaners were friendly enough. We would give the 5 stars mainly to the Restaurant team- a special shoutout to Malek who is such a patient and amazing individual. He was exceptionally attentive and extremely friendly to all of us especially our little ones. We stayed for 5 nights - the food was well varied, tasty and amazing. We look forward to the 3 meals every day. Desserts and seafood were our favourite part! Again, the chefs cooking and serving were beyond amazing. Seriously thank you so much! Entertainment team- they always try their very best to accommodate us and be friendly. Thalasso centre - Dr Rahma the director was very friendly and very accomodating. My husband and I went for the Balinese massage which was a nice touch to our evening. We would like to suggest a longer opening time for the indoor pool. At this time of the year, the outdoor pools were too cold for us to use hence we look forward to use the indoor pools but because it is open from 12 to 3pm we had to rush for lunch. Security and Bar staff were great and friendly The plus point is we get free tickets to the Carthageland theme park on a daily basis. As a team, they did an excellent job trying to make everyone feel welcomed, entertained and taken care for. Again, special credits to the Restaurant Team for being amazing, one reason why we would ever (if, in the future) come back to the same hotel.

Excellent excellent service!! Wow! The staff are so nice, professional and helpful. Their hospitality is very much appreciated. They recommend a lot of interesting places to visit and they suggested fun activities. The food is just incredible. We had a blast! We will definitely come back again!

This hotel is fantastic. Room is perfect, very good in shape and clean. The pool is great. The quatlity and sortiment of food is excellent! The hotel employes are very kind and polite! A place to visit again.

Hotel is is great condition, staff was very friendly and failities were very good.
Swimming pool is great and has lots of sun exposure, food was good on all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Would definitely come back and stay here!

Strongly recommend! I was there this week with friends after after 2 long years of Covid 19. Event if with this bad economical situation the team members were always very attentive and very helpful. It was off-peak but the entertainment team led by Rio did a very good job. very good atmosphere ! Great parties , great team .

Excellent hotel with staff who can't do enough for you. Very helpful and pleasant, the rooms are comfortable and big with rose petals and towels shaped as swans or hearts a nice touch. Grounds are pleasant and the pool looks welcoming. Beach is over the road and nearby are shops with everything priced the shops under the hotel can be a bit pricey and you meet a lot of cooks from your hotel a bit tedious that but nothing to do with hotel. I would go back and recommend for an all inclusive holiday.

Nice and clean hotel, great service, friendly people. The only minus point is small and not so clean beach, a lot of sea weed and not enough sun beds. My stay was pleasant, l had a week of total relaxation. The out door pool was beautiful and the food was excellent.

This was our first holiday as a couple back in January 2013 , straight after we got married in December 2012 and our honeymoon.
The hotel was perfect and the staff were very nice and friendly, especially the waiters and room cleaners, our maid would always decorate our room with rose petals and style our towels and bedding. The restaurant buffets were great and as we were all inclusive the drinks that came with it were juicilicious. We put on a few pounds from the great food and we can't wait to go back with both our sons one day, and not too far in the future.
It's a shame with all the bad things that has happened in the country as the people who try to make a living are suffering from the lack of tourists who would bring in a lot of the income.

Very nice hotel we went in January and it is very quiet. The rooms are very nice the food selection is very good even though there are only about 80 guest's here at the moment. VERY WINDY.!!!!. Be careful why going out the locals still bother you at every opportunity. And only use yellow taxis. The tourist taxis are a rip off. Our driver from the airport thought he was a racing driver. Very dangerous

Excellent service and hygiene. Room is spacious and clean. Personnel if always helpful and very friendly. Has heated internal salty water pool which is amazing during winter (few people during lunch time opening). Ample food offer, including many fresh dishes, and changed each day. Very close to beach, mall and attractions for kids. Takes 1.5-2h to reach from the airport (book transportation in advance).

Beautiful Views...wonderful staff...luxurious pools, dinner is hit and miss, lunch we did local...breakfast was great 👍🏻 peaceful within walking distance of grocery and beach. Fun for everyone. Spa and Hammam was worth every penny. Thank you for a wondeful honeymoon. ❤😘😍

My wife and I have returned to the Madina this year and as last year the hotel is excellent. The staff are very friendly .the rooms are always very clean.
For a 4 star hotel the food is exceptionall. And a lot of choices. The new animation team are very good I would like to give them all 5 stars for the hard work they do .

I have given this hotel a 5* rating due to the factors below
Positives
1. Looks really nice from outside and feels like your entering a palace.
2. Staff helpful and welcoming with welcome drinks and they take luggage from outside and into your room
3. Lots of entertainment relaxation, spa massage (which I highly recommend excellent service) and fitness available
4. Excursion available in hotel and quite cheap but best to haggle that is important tip
5. The view is amazing and wonderful from whichever room you are staying in
6. Food is good, there is a bar for soft drinks hot drinks if you are all inclusive it is free etc
7. Shops and markets are close by within 10 minutes walk

Negatives
1. Really Bad WiFi - very hard to get network in your room or restaurant inside hotel
2. To use the safe in your room u have to pay deposit plus daily charge.
3. No drinking water in room but available from snacks bar or reception and there is a mini fridge
4. Dressing table has no mirror requires more light above the tables would be handy
5. No mosque walking distance but they are building one so next year will be done
6. For 5* hotel there are no dressing gowns or slippers in the room
7. Food gets a little boring after 3/4 days so we decided to dine out after these days

I m really grateful one more time for the welcoming of the staff mrs linda and all the reception staff ,men and women ,really they are so helpful,lovely,profesional ,and i wana say thank you a lot to mrs noora,she is very polite ,very decent and lovely ,helpful and all the staff of reception , swiming pool and restaurant ,all they try to help everyone here ,soalaria was very nice hotel ,and i would like to say to the owner congratulation for having this special ,lovely staff ,finally ,i recomend solaria for all of you visiting hammamet and bravo mr lasad also for your direction 👌👌👌👌👌,in word it was a great stay and joyful moment for us as a family ,all the bes tsolaria ,and linda you are great thank you for your smiling face ,and because of their welcoming we add one day more thanks a lot ,regards mawaheb ❤❤❤❤
