Good Time Sports Village Koh Mak

We had a wonderful stay in Good Time Sports Village. Very friendly staff, Kerstin was very helpful. The resort has a nice yoga hall in the garden and provides yoga classes.
Situated up a small hill, you can reach beautiful beaches on either sides of the island, 5-10 minutes by foot, or rent scooters.
We had also a wonderful day snorkeling, which was worth it.

It took a while but we still needed to write our review from our stay. We visited last november and we can say without doubt that It was the best experience we had from our entire trip in Thailand. Kerstin and Mr. Peak Made sure that we where in the best possible hands and They are great hosts. The location is amazing, the facilities are superb. When one of our bags fell off the golf cart while we were heading to the docks, Mr. Peak scootered his way back in James bond style to retrieve it. Extra kudo’s. All jokes aside. Good Times resort is the place to be when visiting koh mak.

Our 3rd time here on Koh mak, and we absolutely love coming back. Koh mak sport village is growing each time, with the muaythai gym just a small scooter ride away, also in the same facility there are many gym equipments for fitness. Muaythai classes are great way to keep fit while we are on holidays. We also love the tennis court (indoor) not too far from the muaythai gym. There's table tennis and stand up paddle board waking distant away. We stayed in one of the apartments, was spacious surrounded by lush green tropical plants. There's a fridge in the room and an air-conditioning (which we only used a couple of times) rooms are cool in the night with sea breeze through the fly screen doors. We have met the owners (Yodying) and he was extremely accomodating. they can arrange the scooter hire at the desk also anything else needed with the help from desk, Khun peark. We are looking forward to coming back for longer stay which we already planning another trip back.

It was such a nice stay at Good Times Sports resort! Our rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. Everything was working perfectly. The whole hotel area is a big tropical garden with a pool in the middle, an amazing, quiet place. Not far from two beaches and multiple restaurants, shops and a pharmacy. The owner is a super friendly man, always willing to help. I would definitely recommend staying there!

The location was perfect, as it was very close to the beach, and the view from the resort was also amazing. The fact that it is a resort focused on sports is a big plus as well and makes it special and worth to stay in if you're planning to go to Koh Mak. I tried the yoga and Muay Thai sessions and I loved them!

I really liked staying in Koh Mak. It is very easy to move around even without renting a scooter. At the hotel we got many recommendations of places to visit and to eat. There are many restaurants, some fruit stalls and minimarkets. The beaches are quiet and beautiful.

We stayed 5 nights in the suite at Good time and were very comfortable. The rooms & balcony were a good size. The balcony had a view over the beautiful gardens. The hot water shower and AC worked well, and there was a decent size fridge to keep our drinks cold. We were collected from the pier on arrival in a cute electric golf cart - bonus points for being green! The staff Mr Peak and Lek were friendly and helpful. We rented a cute scoopy scooter from Mr Peak for 200 baht /day in very good condition (hope in future there might be an affordable electric option too, better for the environment). It was nice that they had such beautiful grounds to walk about in and a swimming pool. We loved musing at the interesting & unique character of each of their other buildings scattered about the complex gardens. Daily housekeeping was available on request, as well as change of linens. We could also get water refills at reception , and buy an espresso for 35 baht (comes with a biscuit). The Wi-Fi worked well, great for remote working. there are comfortable chairs and tables to use, and a decent size wardrobe with a sufficient amount of hangers. The area is peaceful and quiet, with good beaches in walking distance as well as small convenience stores and a couple local Thai restaurants all within around or less than 15 minutes walk.

We had a lovely peaceful time & hope to stay again. Some of the buildings looks like they could do with a bit of maintenance and upkeep but everything was in working order.

On my way to Koh Chang I happen to meet one of the owners of this resort and we had such a nice chat that I decided to join him later on at Koh Mak. Both of the owners put alot of love and effort in the resort. They make you feel at home and the make you feel part of the family. This means when you feel like you can join them and meet for dinner, have chats and play tennis.
The island is amazing. Cause everything you need is there but its still so pure and serene. No big shopping streets or noisy busy bars. Though you can go out for nice drinks and have great food. I stayed in one of the nicely decorated bungalows. The sound of frogs and birds is amazing. Your near the nice pool which is surrounded by tropical trees and I find it big enough to sporty swim and workout. There is a tropical garden and lovely dogs running around to play with. They even guarded my bungalow at night. There is an open air gym in the garden which has all you need and i used it three times. There is a local manager who takes swiftly care of things you need of any kind. Very helpful.
Not to forget there is an indoor and outdoor tennis court 5 min drive by scooter. I loved it and we played like 2 times a day. Im definitely coming back and recomend going to this resort.

I stayed at Good Time Resort for the second time, and this time for two months. To me, it’s a paradise garden - you’ll live in the green, surrounded by nature sounds, and can still reach a beach by walking a few minutes.
The houses are very cute, and the access to a gym, pool, upstairs terrace as well as reduced rates for Yoga, Muay Thai and sports opportunities are all additional gems.
The whole team is lovely, and Mr. Peak will support you with anything you need - be it help with your visa renewal or picking up packages.
Highly recommended!

My first time experience at Koh Mak has been enhanced by this great stay at the Goodtime Resort. The rooms are clean and will be cleaned each day by very friendly maids. The beds are beyond comfortable ensuring my nights are the best it could be (also helps that the rooms are in a quiet neighborhood). If my every first time has a comfortable hotel like this it would be certainly a great start to a holiday. 9/10 would stay again.

I stayed at the Good Time Sports Resort for a total of 2 months during the Covid-19 pandemic and really enjoyed this time. All sports possibilities were given. My room was big and comfortable, the whole place was great, quiet and well-kept. The staff is more than friendly and helpful. Thanks for the good time. I'll be back.

I went to the Good Time Resort Koh Mak last month and had a wonderful experience.
First of all the resort has a wonderful atmosphere. It is very relaxed and chill and gives a feeling of home so if you are looking to relax, this is the place to go to.
It is easy to get to the resort as a car comes to pick you up from the pier. Additionally, the resort has a gym, Muay Thai gym, swimming pool and an open area for yoga.
The resort is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery which is great for relaxation or for taking a bike to look around.
Overall, I would really recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday at a beautiful scenic resort.

My experience at Good Time Resort was a good one indeed. Everything from the service, the location, and the property was superb. I appreciated how private and spread out the different villas are, as well as the beautiful gardens and the pool among them. I only got to spend one night here, but I hope to be able to come back soon. Recommend!

This is my first time in Koh Mak and it is such a nice and chill island. Good Time resort has great service and many room options to choose from with unique features. Makes me feel like home and I would definitely recommend it!

This is my first time here on Koh Mak. They made it memorable ,that’s for sure. In the villa where we stayed was unique that fit the vibe for an island.

The family and staffs greeted us with smiles and provided all the essentials at a fair price(deals, rents, recommendations,etc).

We went to Koh Mak and stayed at Good Time Resort for 5 days. We had a good time. The island is beautiful but very quiet. It's not for everyone, but if you like quiet spots then Koh Mak might be for you.

Good Time Resort has wonderful accommodations. We stayed at a 2 story house in a lush green garden. Staff was friendly and helpful and we liked the food. I would go again.

Great manager and great staff overall! Helped us Navigate The island and helped us get a boat to our next destination. We stayed at the sea view Villa. What can Be better than waking up and in front of you, a beautiful view to The sea. Great place overall.

My first time at Koh Mak. This is a good place to stay. Chill and quite resort with Thai style house. You can hear the birds chirping in the morning and evening.

The staff is very nice and friendly.

Our stay at Koh Mak Island was **fanstastically amazing** ALL because of Good Time Resort.

We are very picky about cleanliness, and customer service. Mr. Peak - the manager of Good Time - exceeded our expectations. He was a wonderful host.

To start, he personally greeted us at the port to take us back to the resort. Checkin was easy.

The room was exceptionally clean, privately situated a good distance from the other bungalows, surrounded by topical trees and nature. We never saw a cockroach.The room had AC, a fridge, a flat-screen TV, and a DVD player with free movies to borrow from the main office. Morning breakfast at the main office (indoor as well as off a deck in the sunshine) was like a delicious homemade meal of eggs, toast, jam, and coffee.

Mr. Peak always made himself available to answer our questions, and help us navigate around the island. Everyday he greeted us with kindness, a big smile, and cheerfulness,.

The resort is centrally located to just about every eatery, convenience stores, pharmacy, and ice cream parlour with homemade gelato. Best of all, it is a (very) short walk to a good part of the beach– clean with nice sand, no rocks, no algae, and no sand flies. (I say this b/c other resorts were full of the bad stuff). It was situated conveniently between other cabana bars and open-air massage beds along the beach. The resort was also near a good Muy Thai gym operated by local instructors.

The wi-fi connection was good (ping = approx 25, d-load = approx 25M)– we were able to work and even stream movies at night. Maybe a slight hiccup there to buffer occasionally, typical of a standard connection in N America.

Mr. Peak introduced us to his friend Bonnie, who owned a wonderful restaurant right on the beach. There were many other restaurants also along the beach to choose from, but her home-cooked-like food was incredibly delicious and reasonably priced that we ate every meal there. Her mixed drinks were also so tasty, we’ve never enjoyed cocktails and Thai food this much, even in Bangkok.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it by one night. The resort was fully booked but Mr. Peak worked hard and managed to squeeze us into another bungalow. He went above and beyond. He even spent his time calling our booking agency back in Bangkok for us, to help change the reservation, since he could speak to them in Thai.

Mr. Peak works hard, and has worked at the resort for over 10 years. It’s evident he loves his job, due to how he treats his customers so happily. His english is very good, which was a tremendous help to us non-Thai speakers. And he taught us a thing or two! He had many good stories to share, and everyone in town knows and loves him. We teased him that he should become mayor of the town as he would certainly be a good one.

As our trip sadly came to a close, he escorted us back to the port for our ferry, and helped us communicate with the ferry manager to confirm our changes to the departure would not be overcharged. He was always honest.

We thank Mr. Peak and Good Time resort for the most memorable beach vacation we’ve ever had, and absolutely plan to go back. Highly recommend this resort.

Lovely food and atmosphere here. Did not stay at the resort, but had dinner here. Prices were good, selection was broad, service and meal were lovely. They burn incense around the tables, everything is well manicured, bathrooms were clean. I would recommend this place to any and everyone.

We had a very warm welcome from the owner of good times sport resort. He showed us the huge garden where you can find all the different houses, a gym and a pool. We stayed at the “sugarcane” house wich was very cosy with the antique furnitures. On top of our house, a lovely lady called Nathalie teaches Yoga! You have to try it at least once during your stay! The resort provides a various choice of activities: Muay Thai, bicycles, tennis , table tennis, basketbal, Soccer, badminton, kajaks, peddle boards and I’m sure I forgot a few 😃. We really enjoyed our stay!
