Service: Good service and friendly staff

Rooms: Old room but comfortable. Inside the room has a refrigerator, TV, and balcony.

Beach: I really like the beach, it's quiet and beautiful sunset. In February sea very clear and sunny. You will have fun swimming and relaxing. The hotel is also a pet-friendly.

Food: They have welcome drink on the beach until 17:00pm. The breakfast has a variety food and tasty. I was impressed with the Green Curry. You can have dinner at the hotel, there is Thai food, Western food, and Pork BBQ (Moo Kra-Ta).

Location: The hotel is far from a convenience store, so you should buy some snacks first.

This is not everyone’s location but it’s certainly mine!! A haven of peace and tranquility half way between two 7-11’s that are 60km apart. This is the definition of a remote location. Don’t go here if you’re looking for great choices of restaurants though the breakfasts are great and the restaurant food varied and good value, served with care by the attentive staff, don’t come here for varied full or half moon parties, for bars and nightlife. This is the middle of nowhere but it’s a Thai paradise.

You are going to a lovely resort in an extremely remote location still 50km short of the Cambodia border crossing at Khlong Yai. It has everything you need in a single location:

The rooms are large and comfortable, mine had a four poster bed, a private back garden in addition to front veranda. No gold taps or overt displays of wealth, but people who knew where to come were there. I chanced upon it! Good for older people, great for families, perfect for 🐶🐶 and 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ owners.

I was a short walk from anything I needed: lobby, restaurant, bar, pool, beach, sea..
My requirements: 🐶🐶 friendly stop over en route to my visa run. I was booked one night only.

As soon as I got there, maybe a 7 hour drive from Bangkok, even in the darkness l sensed this was a special place. I had 3 nights booked in Koh Chang. I immediately booked to return for 3 nights at Centara before I set out for my visa run!! A few hours in the property, a nice breakfast, the excellent staff, it was enough to want to return immediately.

I wasn’t disappointed. The sand is soft and when the tide is out you can walk a long way up the beach ie not mornings. An inlet 750m up the beach becomes impassable other than by swimming across, not recommended with a phone, in the mornings. It’s perfect tranquility.

One VERY SERIOUS AND POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING fault, the only criticism I can make of an otherwise perfect place: I pointed this out to Khun Penn the general manager and I trust her to rectify it!!
In late afternoon the resort faces west and the sunset. As the sun goes down the reflection on the water of the pool hides a wall between the children’s area and the main pool, 1.4m deep. The top of the wall is below the surface and it’s hard to see. For safety’s sake the hotel must urgently install coloured floats like lane dividers in an Olympic pool across the top of the wall!! Heaven forbid someone jumps in to the water and hits that wall. It’s so dangerous it’s absolutely unreal. I shiver to imagine an excited child jumping in and hitting the wall. I’m trusting you Khun Penn, please address this highly dangerous feature immediately before someone seriously hurts themselves or worse.

That aside, I’d go back in a shot and can’t wait to return!!

We planned to stay at Centara Resort only for one night but at the end we enjoyed so much we decided to stay the whole week :) what a place to chill and relax! Quiet, peaceful and beautiful beach. Kind and caring staff, immidiately fullfiling all of our wishes. Beautiful and spacious bungalows and tasty Thai cuisine.

The staffs at the restaurant and bar areas are very friendly and take good care of the customer. Really enjoy my stays. The food are tasty and reasonable in price. The views are great and not crowded at all. Pet-Friendly hotel for all sizes. The room is nice, spacious and clean. There is no pet odor at all. The hotel is Centara standard.

Very beautiful resort in the middle of nowhere.
Rooms are large, it feels like living in ur own apartment with a nice view. The setup is nice and the beach is beautiful.
Good food and nice staff.
The bar close at 10.
Good to stay for 3 or 4 days to relax and enjoy the beach as there is nothing to do in town.

Pet-friendly resort with great services, delicious food, and serenity! The room was large including a living room, roomy bathroom (some maintenance required for piping though), comfortable bed and seatings, jacuzzi (didn't use it due to the continuous raining), and the in-room dining was satisfactory. Despite the fact that it was raining during most of our stay, we enjoyed the time here and will be back to enjoy more activities here as well!

Excellent location for those who prefer serenity. Water activities e.g. kayaking and paddle boarding included. Plus, it is pet friendly with no extra charged. Our family comes here every year for years and continue!

Been there 5 times in last 3 years and will come again for sure.

Lovely QUITE resort with pristine beaches and crystal clear water. Rooms are nice and spacious, and yes, a little renovation here snd there could be nice, but I am mainly come for the beach and water quality and not for the perfect "wallpapers".

Staff is friendly and very helpful, management is doing a great job.

Sunsets over Koh Chang are amazing!!!

Very lushy gardens, airy, surounded by nature, but with all the regular comforts at the same time. Suites are as big as what you would explect from a villa. Serene environment from the al fresco architecture. Great for kids to play, run or even ride a bike or scooter. Pet friendly as well. Secluded, you will not notice your neighbors. Water activities are included and they serve a good bufet breakfast. Great as isolation/pandemic getaway.

Our family comes here every year and sometimes twice a year because it is pet friendly. Staff is friendly and we feel that we are welcome warmly everytime. The beach is nice and the sea is nice. Love it!

a bit isolated, but if that's of interest, a remote beach vacation, then this is absolutely perfect. the beach is the largest, least occupied, and cleanest I've seen anywhere in Thailand. rooms and restaurant options are a little basic as 4 or 5 star range goes but for a casual outing just perfect. it's pet friendly; those can stay there too. it's about a 5 hour drive from Bangkok (350 km), and that and possibly being a little too quiet are the only negatives.

Wonderful relaxing beach hotel. Building and villas quite ages. However, the location is wonderful. Far out of town. Very nice and quietly beach front hotel. Vary good for relaxing and long stay. Interesting local fisherman village near by.

A bit outdated, sometimes you have to push the door a bit harder, but kept very clean, and up to high standards.
Great location, the beach is so clean, and calm, no hordes of tourists. And what's most important for me, dog friendly, even for a medium (large in thailand) sized border collie. Dewclaws up

Personally I felt it's worth the rate for having such a spacious and tranquil sanctuary for a great get away. But I am only say this cause I am very laid back and nature lover. So for travellers that seeks more commercial holiday choices with high end entertainments than this might not be your choice. But for beach , sea and greenerys quiet and private resort than this is heaven.
