Ao Pong Resort

The accommodation is clean and very comfortable. You have a wonderful view of the sea, especially the sunrise is a highlight.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. She also offers breakfast and scooters for rent.

The accommodation is close to the pier 'Ao Nid', from where boats leave for the neighboring islands or for snorkeling or diving trips.

Two restaurants and a mini market are within 15-20 minutes walking distance. I recommend a scooter to explore the area.

Wonderfull place for those who search for tranquility and peace.
Good place for longstay and those who want to escape the crowds.

Stayed in one of the older wooden bungalows, pretty basic, but does the job.

Had a particularly vocal Gecko making its call most nights, but slept well enough.

Location is ideal if you like peace and quiet, nice reef offshore too, and grounds are kept immaculately kept.

Owners and restaurant food was fab, a great base to explore this lovely quiet island.

We stayed there as a family for more than 2 weeks and had a great time (in a deluxe bungalow with extra bed). The hosts are lovely and caring and the kitchen is fabulous (especially the vegetarian options, the fresh fruits and the müsli:-)) and the restaurant is directly above the sea and it is very cheap for what you get!

The beach with quite a few small corals and little stones (which is not a white powder sand postcard beach, but the views are spectacular!) is the only beach on the whole island we visited, where there were no sandflies – and we drove around every day! – and is also very clean, well kept (every day they clean the whole area) and a perfect place to snorkel and dive directly in front of your bungalow. From your bed you see the sun rising and in the hot afternoon there are lot of places in the shadow.
The deluxe bungalow was the best accommodation we ever had in out several trips through Asia so I would definitely recommend this special place! We found it on airbnb but booked then directly.

The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the beach is crystal clear with corals all around. The food is the best we have eaten so far and the staff are beyond helpful. 10/10 recommended. Love it!

Great peacefull place, if you want to relax you must visit Ao Pong. If you want to explore Koh Mak rent a Scooter. Great bars with amazing food in vincinity. 😍

Really nice place in a great location with snorkelling off the beach, nice and quiet beach front and most importantly great people. Motorbike highly recommended to explore the island.
