The scenery below is spectacular. The huge gray-white Buddha statue is dazzlingly majestic. This is a place where you can enjoy truly beautiful scenery. It almost feels like flying. We rode up on our scooters. You can see elephants on the way up and there is also a nice cafe. When you arrive at the entrance, there is a parking lot and a place to sell souvenirs. I bought a hat at a good price here.

Amazing view from the top. You are able to have a Birds Eye view of Phuket. The Big Buddha is huge and wow-ed me the moment I’ve arrived.

There are also convenience stores around. Managed to grab a drink which was also necessary because of the hot weather.

Very very beautiful temple. Lot to see.
I noticed that not many people don't know the dressing rules. But hope they learn.
You can fly your drone here, there are specific rules on the gate and green signs where you can set up your drone. Be careful and remember the fly time is 10-15 minutes. Do not fly near any Statue nor people. Enjoy!!
- Parking area might be full time to time so then it's very difficult to find car park. Motorbikes have designated area.

Free visit, all they ask is you respect their religion by covering from shoulders to knee's or just above. And now hats... not a big price to pay. You can climb to the top and walk around the big Buddha. And there's a few other small events also going on. One guy was doing 7 minutes of meditation, and there's a monk downstairs blessing people. Unfortunately, this costs, and there's no sign telling you so. Religion seems to come at a price with him. But for most of the location it is a wonderful visit with a couple of small shops where you can get refreshments and souvenirs. Oh, and there are wild monkeys. Don't wind them up, or tease them with food, because they will take it from you. And by whatever means necessary.

Wonderful place to learn about Buddha and spend an hour or so relaxing . Views are good and the statue is enormous considering the small figure seen from the road below .

The area is well kept and ice-cream and juice available . Huge parking area so no problem there. It's a FREE entry .

Don't go in the afternoon .

Tip
Early morning or evening is best time due to weather.

Just a few steps to climb to the top. Be respectful and enjoy

One place you definitely should not miss seeing, it was so peaceful and beautiful to see the Big Buddha and sit meditate for a bit. The chants playing in the background while walking around were soothing to your core. Am so glad we went with the family.
Only regret is our elderly parents could not witness what I did as they couldn’t climb up the many steps and no other facilities for them to get up there.

The most peaceful, tranquil place you will ever visit in this lifetime…. Walking in the sounds chanting prayers… to the visual scenery you literally get swallowed by walking around. Free parking and free entrance…. Make sure you give donations in areas they offer blessing….

The Buddha and the views from the top of the hill are simply breathtaking. We loved it.
You should pay attention in advance to the dress code when you prepare to arrive. I would also suggest bringing a hat and sunscreen as most of the place is not shaded. We also got blessed heart leaves we could write our wishes on and hand .

This is a beautiful religious temple so please be respectful of the dress code before you come and enjoy this spiritual place. The views of the bay and surrounding area are spectacular. Please be aware of the monkeys as they are aggressive and will steal anything you are not holding on to. They are fun to watch.

Sunrise with the Big Buddah. Breathe taking 🫠. We showed up at 7am and could walk right in without payment as they had not opened. I both wish I was there when it opened to see the activities and experience the vibe of all the people but on the other hand LOVED the quiet time to be able to explore. If you get the chance see it. The stone work is amazing, the view gorgeous. Even a doggy stood on the steps in awe of the view.

Located on a hill, this big Buddha is a must visit place in Phuket. There is a no ticket for this place, free for all. Since it is located on top of a hill, we can view the entire Phuket from top, got a beautiful scenic view from here. Superb white Buddha and there are Monks who seated in this place, one can take blessings from them. Do visit!

Big Buddha in Phuket offers panoramic views from its summit. No entrance fees.

Visitors also have the opportunity to receive blessings from monks and obtain a peace amulet bracelet. It’s customary to make a donation when receiving blessings, as it supports the upkeep of this sacred site.

Be prepared for the intense heat as there is no shelter available. Consider wearing shades and a cap to shield yourself from the sun’s glare.

Remember to dress respectfully and cover up before entering the temple area. If your dress code is deemed inappropriate, you may be required to purchase a sarong to adhere to the site’s regulations.

Overall, a visit to Big Buddha is a must-do when in Phuket. Recommended for those seeking both majestic views and insight into Thai culture and spirituality.

I went in the afternoon and it was INCREDIBLY hot 🥵I wish I had gone earlier or during sunset weather wise. The marble pieces on the Buddha are incredible. It really is awesome and colossal. You may get blessed by a monk and get a nice, little bracelet in exchange for a donation of your wish. There is also a guided meditation available for everyone to enjoy. Make sure you are respectful and cover up. There are small little shops at the entrance to the big Buddha that sell drinks and little souvenirs.

Must see place with beautiful views. No entrance fee- they should introduce one. We enjoyed our visit. Some irresponsible behaviour from visitor speaking Russian, who gave coke to the wild monkey just to have a laugh and take a video, disregarding sign not to feed the monkeys.

The bright and shining Big Buddha was another good part of our one day city tour trip. It does follow very strict dress code and also provide people with alternatives at entrance if they were not aware about it earlier.

The journey between you and the big Buddha takes only 95 steps but with each step to come closer to a 360 degree scenic beauty and multiple deity residing surrounding the big Buddha. You can pay your respects and can also converse with monks if they are not busy.

I loved how they also put up some informational statues where you can learn many other things and also at the entrance you can learn the Buddha's journey.

Good to know : This place is absolutely free to visit. There's no ticket or admission fee whatsoever. Also, please be mindful of your clothing and appearance. Ultimately, there's a dozen signs advising against feeding the monkeys, so please refrain from doing it. It's not only disrespectful, it's dangerous for other tourists.

As for this holy place, the Big Buddha has to be one of if not the biggest megastructure I've ever seen. It's gigantic, and extremely impressive. It is big, beautiful, clean, and the attention to details is unfathomable. The structure itself is surrounded by flowers, trees, golden statues, and small open souvenir shops. There's a lot of tourists, but it's manageable. Finally, there's a breathtaking view on all of Phuket at the top. Definitely a must see, and beware of the wind !

Extra note : There are small stores selling water, sweets, and other snacks at the entrance

No matter that time you go, it will be busy. If you want to be blessed, you must go after 10am as that’s when the Buddha is available.

Plenty to see and it’s still under construction. Take small notes and change to make donations.

If you aren’t dressed correctly, they won’t let you inside. Don’t worry, you can put a deposit down for items to cover you up.

We drove up there with a rented bike, highly recommend. The views are stunning, and the ascent is quite fast. The fact that it's free to enter is already a plus. The 360-degree view from the top, along with the impressive Big Buddha, adds to the experience. I also appreciated the information about famous people following Buddhism.
