Baan Suen Jungle Lodge Phang Nga

Stayed here for one night and absolutely fell in love with the place. If you like simple living, don't mind the odd creepy crawly in your room/toilet, and enjoy sleeping to the sound of the night wildlife, then this place is ideal for you. Located well away from the nearest town so you may want to buy your essentials beforehand unless you have a motorbike or a car to get around. The host/owner of the lodge has got to be the best host I have come across so far. Adam is such a nice guy. He really looks after you and we had some great conversations. His wife's cooking was delicious. Tours to Phang Nga National park can be booked here and it is about 30 minute long tail boat ride to Phang Nga bay. Our tour guide was great. Somehow we managed to avoid hordes of tourists and enjoy 2 lagoons all to ourselves and the monkeys. I will definitely be going back to this place again.

Amazing hotel in the middle of nature. Recommended to anybody that enjoys nature and wants a unique and authentic experience.

Set in mangroves, amazing change through the day as the tide rises and falls (afternoon the river leaves the hotel undisturbed, but we woke up everyday to water flowing past our balcony).

Hosts are great - Adam and Noi. Best food we ate in the whole of Thailand - choose what you want in the day and they get fresh ingredients and cook in evening. We would have fish, vegetables, chicken curry of some sort, rice and then fruit.

Adam showed us around the area also (speaks great English). Helped us with our plans afterwards too. Many things to do while you stay here - we hired a boat for the day with a local and went around the various nearby islands and hidden beaches.

Note: Had just come from staying in a 5* hotel - Jungle Lodge 10 times better experience! Facilities are sufficient.

Amazing place, beautiful quite peaceful stand alone bungerlows with views of river and jungle. Husband and wife owners who are very friendly and helpful, they can arrange everything from eating what you want to tours and places to go. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed 3 nights and loved every minute. Perfect for romantic getaway or small family.

My wife and I stayed here for four days, and we had a great time. We have never been to Thailand before and not the best travelers, so we felt a little lost. However, the owner was very friendly and gave us great ideas of what to do for a great price. He gave us some options, and then, he arranged everything for us. Also, the food was great. His wife has great cooking. Lastly, he even made sure we found a good place to stay after we left. I have never had a hotel manager who was so dedicated to us have a good time and meeting our financial goals.

All that being said, here are a few things we learned when we stayed:

1) bring some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Since this is Thailand, people have roosters that will wake you up in the morning. Don't be too upset though since they provide your breakfast and dinner if you have chicken.

2) if you are a budget traveler, you need to be very direct about what your budget is. He will never try to wring you dry, but he wants you to have a good time, and those things could add up. If you are clear about how much money you can spend each day, he find things to fit your budget. It makes planning a lot easier.

3) remember that you are in the middle of the jungle, so expect a few bugs. We only had ants though, and as long as you don't eat a lot of sweet food, you'll be fine. If that really bothers you, you can just buy some repellent at the 7/11 before you come.

The lodges, the paths, the watter - TRUE JUNGLE, and we could sleep calmly here. The owner (sorry I have forgotten the name) explained us how the lodges were built, how he used to work on the kavcuk - latex plantage and then changed part of this jungle to lodges and changed part of the mangrova forrest. Superb expirience for adults and kids!
Superb location to go to “James Bond island”. The owner organized a local boat for the whole family and we really enjoyed the trip.

Amazing guest house! What an experience! It's very basic but the location is great! It's perfect for a getaway and for a jungle experience!

We absolutely love this place. Our new getaway from Phuket. Exciting mangrove forest and surrounded my amazing nature. Highly recommended. The owners are fantastic fun and loving people.

A unique and tranquile location and very close to incredible viewpoint and boat trip at Pang Nga. Come with a car at your disposition to reach the surroundimgs.

Very nice guesthouse! We enjoyed spending our time here. It was so relaxing and good to be in the jungle.

Шикарное место, есть шикарный мостик через джунгли высоко над землей ведущий к воде в конце классная беседка на 5-6 человек, владельцы просто космос. Засеилились мы часам к 4рем налегли на пивко и через час оно закончилось, так они взяли машину и сгоняли в город за ним. Очень приветливые и внимательные люди. Чистые домики, все очень аккуратно.
А когда наступил час chekout, они сделали нам бесплатно сэндвичей в дорогу!!! Рекомендую особенно кто едет заранее на смотровую.

Esperienza molto bella per chi ama la natura Wild, Adam e la moglie sono due persone cortesi e gentili. Adam consiglia e organizza tour dove riesci a percepire la vera Tailandia.

Ein perfektes Ort zum Entspannen, es ist alles sehr einfach und spartanische Eingerichtet, aber es ist sauber und gemütlich! Der Gastgeber Adam erfüllt seine Rolle mit Perfektion, er ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, vielen Dank für den netten Aufenthalt!!

Sam was te gek !!! Super fijne mensen, laten je zeker het echte Thailand zien. Lekker eten, voor ons was het de leukste ervaring van Thailand.
