Very nice staff, we went on a walking tour and it was interesting to hear their story and see all the happy dogs and cats. They make a big difference in Phuket and live only on donations. Definitely worth a visit.

I enjoyed visiting Soi Dog Foundation so much! We went for the free tour around the premises. Very clean and it seemed as though they really take care of all the animals there. Our tour guide was also very informative and sweet!

Please try to visit Soi Dog Foundation and learn more about the fantastic work they do helping the sick and injured stray dogs and cats of Phuket. We took the tour which was free and donations are welcome. We very much enjoyed the tour and our time in the puppy pen and cattery. There are volunteering opportunities too.

Absolutely amazing place, the most worthy of all Phuket. The people there are giving all their effort and love to the abandoned and injured animals. Entry is free. The commented tour is every hour. At the end you can pet many dogs, puppies and cats.

Spent two weeks volunteering at Soi Dog (our second time with them) - and loved every minute of it! Sure it's hard (and hot!) work walking dogs all day - but so rewarding, and for dog lovers it's heaven!! The place is very well-run and is such an impressive set-up - helps so many dogs (and cats) - and has a lovely friendly atmosphere (very welcoming to volunteers).

If you've got 2+ days to spare in Phuket, I'd thoroughly recommend volunteering here. Or if not, at least visit the place for a few hours (they do tours twice a day) - it's well worth it.

We will 100% be back to volunteer with Soi Dog - hopefully next year!

what an experience! Loved every second of it. The tour guide Silvia was 10/10 and loved having a conversation with her! We loved playing with the dogs and my toddler loved the cats especially. Next trip I would 100% volunteer!!!

It is obvious that all the staff and volunteers care and love the animals. We arrived slightly after 10am and were brought around a tour of the premises. We went with two kids (3yo and 5yo) and were also allowed to pet the cats, with parental supervision. The kids were a little too small to play with the puppies because they were kind of big. The animals were lovely and gentle, seemingly appreciative of the wonderful care that they were given. Also met a couple of warm hearted volunteers from all over the world who stopped by to introduce the doggies they were walking. There was no hard selling or request for donations, which made us even more happy to contribute to the cause. A wonderful spirited place, thanks very much for the hospitality and positive vibes.

A safe haven for Thailand's stray and abandoned dogs & cats. They have wonderful facilities for the dogs and cats they've rescued, while providing them with medical care and housing them in various different categories that aid in their recovery and rehabilitation. Truly a fantastic place - a must visit for anyone visiting Phuket.

Furthermore if you want to help out, they have a 2 day volunteer program to help walk the dogs and socialise with them - the 2 days don't need to be consecutive either. Couldn't praise them enough for the work they do here.

Very touching and emotional experience, these guys are doing a fantastic job here. The puppies and cats are so cute, and will hopefully find nice forever homes. Please donate if you can.

If you are a dog lover and ever in Phuket, I highly recommend volunteering at the Soi Dog Foundation. We had an amazing time and it was so rewarding to give back. A lot of these dogs have had very hard lives and have often been victims of cruelty so it was great to spend some time with them through walking, socialising and playing and help them see not all humans are bad. We loved it and will definitely be back 🐶🐕💙

Amazing experience volunteering at the rescue, it was some of the best days we had travelling. So many beautiful cats and dogs being taken care of as they should be. Please do volunteer, the minimum time is two days and it leave you feeling great as well as tired 😇. You walk the dogs around the outskirts of the centre and let them play in the pens they have built whilst meeting like minded people ♥

Dogs and cats lovers a must go visit not just to play with but also to support. Yours can be offered but in time slots, check for updates. Though donation is welcome to support but no one will ask you for it, is entirely up to your own will. So go there with your kids and love ones.

This is a place where people truly care about the rescued animals - both for cats & dogs. Also, when you go to the shelter, they give you a guided tour around it (we had one at 13:30 o'clock) & share the history of the place. It's very interesting, inspiring & informative. We learned more about the illegal dog meat trade to Vietnam & how the shelter & animal rights' organizations are fighting against it through educating people. We also got the chance to socialize puppies which was a very enriching experience. At the end, you can donate to the shelter or buy merchandise to support them. I personally prefer donation because that way they can optimize the money they get, as they have the shelter, an animal clinic, plus there are some animals with special dietary needs due to gastrointestinal problems, etc. And since the people working there are professionals, they can best redistribute the money so they help the animals. Oh, did I mention you can also stay with the cats if you're a bit early for the tour? It's really nice as you get to spend time with them & pet them. I strongly recommend going to the Soi Dog Foundation & meeting their amazing animals.

Tour was great, it's awesome what they are doing here and I wished I had time to volunteer for a couple of days. I definitely will next time I'm in Phuket. The cats and dogs all look very well cared for and have great facilities.

I saved up to come and volunteer at SOI Dog Foundation. It's truly an amazing experience. Huge area (and still expanding), clean all around, the dogs are bathed regularly, the staffs are amazingly helpful, kind, and informative. I'll be coming back for sure and help out more. 13 1/2 years ago we came across a puppy which was wandering in the middle of Petchkasem Road in Krabi. That’s 6 lanes of traffic. We had no idea what we could do and feared there was nothing really in Thailand. So many strays. Soi Dog was the nearest rescue, in fact almost the only one in Thailand. Gill and John, as well as Margot took the pup, got him all the medical treatment he needed, arranged all the paperwork and all the transport to Bangkok, including meeting us at the airport at 5am to hand him off for the flight to our home. Margot even housed him in Bangkok. Heartwarming doesn’t begin to describe their efforts and effect on the world.

I was privileged enough to spend a couple weeks working at the facility while the pup’s medical and paperwork was processed and the place and experience is life changing if you let it be.

Thank you Soi Dog Foundation! It’s awesome to see how far you’ve gone and the positive impact you have on the community at large.

This foundation is worth to visit. You will see how well organized they are. If you are interested to help cats and dogs you can be a volunteer in many ways like grab them walk around, donate the money or a flight volunteer.

These volunteers truly care about the animals. Fascinating origin story of the founders and wonderful opportunities to spend time with the animals. The staff is kind and we commend them sincerely for all they do here.

It was awesome to see the amazing work this organization does first hand! They're projected to hit 1 million sterilizations by the end of the year. The number of street (soi) dogs in Phuket has plummeted from 70k+ to less than 7k. They employ hundreds of Thai and Burmese people. Seeing the facilities and talking to the people made all of their work even more real!
