Tang Heng Kee

It’s an old restaurant serving Thai Chinese food and extremely popular amongst locals and tourists. Inside its quaint interiors one can find a seat after some waiting and it’s magical to witness the hustle of the restaurant. We were pleased with the extremely fast service and even better food. The food of this place was truly a highlight amongst all the other places I tried in Bangkok. It’s so good that I still remember it. We tried a shrimp fried rice which was amazing with a decent serving of shrimp. The Thai chicken with basil and rice was warm , savory and perfect albeit the gravy was a little less for the rice quantity. The fried noodles with chicken was perfect in flavour and texture with a hint of sesame oil. The som tam salad was refreshing and wonderfully balanced. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area. We came by ferry from Wat Arun to Tien pier and walked down to this restaurant.

I visited this beautiful and small restaurant two weeks ago. I'm no longer in Thailand and I already miss this restaurant haha. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The ambience is very homely. The staff is super friendly. Overal rating-

My family and I visited the Grand Palace in Bangkok last month, and we had lunch at this restaurant during our visit. Pad Thai, Fried Rice and Tom Yum Soup are our favorite dishes, along with mango sticky rice. Prices are very reasonable, and the taste is Yummy !!! So good !!!!

I recommend visiting this place if you want to taste yummy food. Owner of the shop is also very friendly and speaks excellent English.

Finally, I returned to this restaurant after 5 years. The food is very tasty and very nice. I enjoyed every dish I ordered and tasted today. As always, the owner is friendly and helpful for any questions you may have around Bangkok, especially that area.(Grand Palace).

I wish I could live here and eat here every day and be fat happily. This is one of my favorite places in Thailand. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I’m so glad I found this place before my sister and I went to see the temple. Really incredible chicken pad Thai and chicken fried rice!! Some of the best I’ve had in Thailand. The staff is extremely kind and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your food and your experience! Its super clean and tidy 😊🙏🏻

Food is nice. Sitting near Wat Pho, while having lunch is very amazing :)

Very freindly older man served our table. Asked us where we were from and told us some stories about his own travels. When we had to catch a boat back down the river he gave us great directions. The food was great, beer was cold (and cheap). Overall, a great little spot to get out of the heat with a nice vibe.

This is a great restaurant, excellent food and service. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The best food in this area👍

Good food for a small price + the owner was super extra hyper friendly, which made the short break for food a quite pleasant experience. Oh, and there was like ton of shrimps in my Tom yum!
