Beautiful Buddhist temple. Very easy to get to from across the river by ferry. The ferry leaves every 5 minutes and costs only 5 baht. Extremely popular but still easy to visit with no waiting. The ticket price of 100 baht includes a small bottle of water. Clean restrooms are available on the premises.

This place (can be) crowded. However, this is actually a cool temple. Yes it costs a little to get it, but it's really worth the view. You can pay a little extra and dress up in a period costume for some pictures, however given how crowded it is, be prepared to share your photo with about 5000 of your newest best friends. The steps are very step, be careful! You want to also be aware that, given the amount of people here, you need to watch your wallet. Also some people are more concerned with getting a good photo than they are with their own personal safety, as a result on these steep steps; accidents can happen. There's a gift shop inside, but most of the food and drinks are more expensive than outside.

This place stands out as a must-see for most visitors. The towering temples, adorned with intricate details, leave you in awe. You can even climb to the balconies for breathtaking panoramic views of the vast complex. I even spotted some monks, possibly visitors themselves, exploring the grounds. Many tourists choose to enhance their experience by renting traditional Thai costumes from nearby shops, creating truly unforgettable memories.

The temple is famous for its beauty. We bought a ferry ticket to cross the river to reach the temple which was a very interesting thing to do. From the ferry, I had a very clear view of the prang which was super unique. I bought the ticket at the entrance. They stamped on my arm and gave me a bottle of water. It was a surprise for me when they gave me a bottle of water. We entered the main temple first. The temple and the prang area were full of people trying to take photos and many of them had private photographers for themselves. Many of them hired traditional Thai clothes and they looked beautiful there. It was quiet inside the main temple in the area where people pray and I enjoyed that part the most. Outside when we wanted to take pictures, we had to wait until people finished and we had a place to stand. It took me about 20-25 mins to visit the whole place and I left quickly because there were too many people there.

The view is breathtaking. Recommend you to come in the early morning or after 3-4 pm. Because it is too hot from 10 am.
You can enjoy the beautiful details of the temples here as well as take some memories and photos with Thai traditional customs rented from stores nearby.
Price: 100bath/ person but they have noticed that the price will be raised to 200bath in March. Free one bottle of water for one ticket.
Have to come here by boat. 30bath/ person.

Loved the place they have so many nice vibes. People generally go there dressed as Thai locals to get clicked.

Evening and day view both are recommended. It closes in the evening 6 so go before 5 to explore properly. Stairs are very deep and high so people with knee issues and asthmatic can avoid this space all alone.

Gorgeous temple and grounds. Give yourself an hour to be able to meander and explore every angle properly. Fairly busy but still incredible to see and find your picture spot. We did this on the way to grand palace since the stop there from the river is closed. You have to come to Wat Arun and transfer to a short river cross to get to the palace.

Magnificent place. Seen it many times in pictures, can’t compare to the actual live experience. Really beautiful super recommended. It’s 100 baht as I’m foreigner, free if you Thai.
Was about to wear tracksuit but lady at entrance told me it’s fine I could wear my shorts as not too short.
If not they have Thai pants for you to borrow and you can just leave an offer.

Magnificent and stunning architecture. Love every artworks done here. A little too crowded but it’s worth every minute to be here and every detail around to look into. Neighbor and merchant around the temple were nice and friendly as well

Initially, we opted for a water taxi to reach the temple, and to our surprise, the place left a remarkable impression. Its architecture stands out as truly extraordinary, situated by the river, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Before entering, local vendors are eager to sell their wares. Being a popular tourist spot, there's an entrance fee, so having local currency on hand is advisable. The temple shows off an array of impressive stupas with thorough details that leave you in awe. It's undeniably a must-see destination.

Wat Arun is one of my favourite temples in Bangkok. Love the 300+ year old structures with such detail. I've been lucky to visit when it was so quiet, it's very busy now, but I would still put it on your list of things to do in Bangkok.

A very peaceful place and less crowd. If you visit early morning the environment is best for good photos as there is less people and even the sun is not strong. In the noon the sun is too hot.

Anyhow the place is compared to grand palace is less crowded and is worth a visit if you are in Bangkok. You can take a ferry ride to get in to the temple and is super convenient and cheap.

A ticket will cost 100 B pp and you can buy at the entrance ticket office without any additional charges for third party apps.

This Buddhist temple boasts intricate decorations made from colorful porcelain fragments, creating a stunning exhibition of grandeur and beauty.
To enter, visitors can purchase tickets for 100 THB, which also includes a complimentary water bottle to stay hydrated during your visit.
It is important to note that the temple has a dress code, requiring visitors to cover their shoulders and legs. However, comfortable footwear like sandals or flip flops are allowed. Some tourists choose to embrace the experience fully by renting traditional outfits, adding an extra touch of authenticity to their visit and creating wonderful photo opportunities. As you explore the temple grounds, you'll come across a group of souvenir shops offering various trinkets and keepsakes. Keep in mind that prices in these shops may cater to tourists, so it's always a good idea to compare prices and exercise caution. Additionally, be mindful of your belongings to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, as crowded tourist areas can sometimes attract pickpockets.

Great place to visit, not expensive (100 thb cash) and complimentary water is included with your ticket. We had to take the boat to and from the temple which was easy enough. Make sure to walk fully around as there is more to it than the main temple. You can hire traditional this outfits to be photographed in which seemed popular

Wat Arun is an amazing temple to visit. This impressive Buddhist temple is one of the oldest monuments in Bangkok. First you must take a boat to go thorugh the river, but it's worthy. Closer the temple you are, the more astonishing feelings you have. With the ticket you also get 1 bottle of mineral water. During our visit we saw many people with traditional clothes what adds additional "wow effect". This is a must visit place.

Wat Arun, a captivating historical gem in Bangkok. Its majestic architecture and intricate ornaments make it an unforgettable destination. While some areas might benefit from additional maintenance, the experience of climbing the stairs to the temple's summit offers breathtaking views. In one word: awe-inspiring!

Such a fantastic place to visit.
A recommendation is to keep you well hydrated. We were here on a very hot day.
A nice little café by the river is worth a visit for a cold drink.

One of the most beautiful places in Bangkok for visiting at day time.
It’s so peaceful and serene, must visit for tourists. It is situated on the side of river and you can take a boat across to the Wat Pho which is equally beautiful. If you are travelling with your family try not missing this temple.

It has 100 baht ticket charges per person and closed by 6pm.
