A fun tourist spot to get your souvenirs and brush up on your negotiation skills. It is just one of those places you know is designed for tourists but you still have to go one time to check it out. If you are going on a tour and need some inexpensive shoes to get dirty, this is the place to get them. Since the Mo Chit station is only 100 meters away, it is very convenient to make this trip.

I recently visited Chatuchak Market in Thailand, and it was an amazing experience. The market offers a vast variety of products, from handmade crafts to trendy fashion items. The sheer size of the market is impressive, providing endless opportunities for exploration. What stood out the most was the affordability of the items – it's a shopper's paradise for those looking for great deals. The lively atmosphere and friendly vendors added to the overall positive vibe. A must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and budget-friendly shopping experience!

The best time to come here is on the afternoon / evening. Came here at 10am, there was just a few store that already opened, came back here at 3pm and it was super crowded but you can still enjoy shopping.
This place was huge so make sure you have a lot of time to explore all of the area. You can buy daily goods and any kind of souvenirs here, don’t be afraid to bargain at the lowest price, the sellers here is kind and humorous.
Must visit market at Bangkok

Lovely, vibrant place where you can find literally anything what comes to your mind, would it be simple souvenir or old rare book. Came 1 hour early on Sunday morning while it was still opening and made best choice of the day. Gets pretty hot and crowded at around 11 but that's market for you. There's a nice, tasty and cheap food market on the 3rd floor. Got everything I needed from my wishlist at the end.

This market offers the most variety of products compared to other markets in Bangkok. I think some of the products you can't find elsewhere in the city. Just prepare yourself with enough time and energy to walk to explore every single aisle as this market could be the biggest market in the world. Once you find something, don't think that you want to compare the price with other markets, just buy it. This market offered one of the best prices among other markets. Or probably you will be lost and not able to find the shop again.

Real life. Truly Thai. Culture. Passion. Design. Creativity. This is a great place to hang out for a few days to explore about life watching how the Thai are living from all angles. It is a market just more than traditional things, there are lot of treasures to be found, some are rare and unique. Worth the journey.

An experience! If you find yourself in Bangkok a weekend, you must come here, if nothing more than to say you did it! They say there are more than 15,000 stalls and I believe it! We arrived at 10:00am and walked more than 10km exploring the labyrinth of stalls.
Be sure to check out the air conditioned mall as well - a great food court on the 3rd floor!

This was such a nice market and the boat ride was really cool with lots to see. Food vendors and handmade crafts made it worth the visit! If you go, the booth making the thin stuffed egg omelette was the ultimate best ever!! Handmade soaps as well by this wonderful lady are fabulous! 3 for 100baht 💕

Huge huge huge. Great friendly shop keepers around and so much to see and do. Not the cheapest market for South East Asia standards but definitely more classy and unique options. Worth the visit if shopping or not ! Such good food around as well

I can't get enough of this place! I visit every time I come to Bangkok and still don't think I've seen it all!! It's massive... so bring your walking shoes. You can buy so many different things from the usual clothing and souvenirs to framed bugs and butterflies to beautiful Thai silk. There's also an animal (pet) section, which I personally wasn't a fan of. But that's personal preference. Its easy to find if you want to have a look and easy to avoid if it's something you'd prefer not to see. The food options are plentiful and delicious!! If you love markets and are headed to Bangkok... don't miss this!!

I came to this place on the first and last day of my vacation to Thailand. You can buy so many beautiful things for your loved ones at home or for yourself. It’s really nice to take some walks there and enjoy strolling around. I believe that anyone could find something they like since there is a variety of pretty and inexpensive - but high in quality - things. I would plan a whole day or at least a whole morning to not miss out any part of this great market.

Strongly recommend!

Chatuchak Market is a shopper's paradise, and as a foreigner, I discovered a treasure mine of delights. The abundance of thrift stores became my playground, where I discovered authentic brand jeans and stylish clothing at unbelievable costs. The market's size overwhelmed me, making it impossible to explore the entire area in one visit. From up-to-date clothes to one-of-a-kind handmade goods, attracts await you at every step. The aromatic street food stalls provide a fascinating culinary excursion, pleasing your palate with Thai delights. In addition, the wonderful coconut ice cream gave as a satisfying reward for my shopping journey.

Amazing deals and nice clothes from local Thai brands. Bought really cheap massage oils and hair products from Herb Care which not only cheaper but packaged really well as compared to all the other shops. Great as gifts, and nice phone cases and shoes

Aside from various souvenirs stuff that you can buy here, there’s always something interesting to see here. It’s amazing how students can showcase their talents here.
Smoothies are also a must try especially during noon time. It’s really important to stay hydrated since it’s scorching hot & the market is huge.

Over the past few years, I think Chatuchak market has become the best weekend market. It opens at 9am, some reviews said that most stores only opened at 12ish. We reached about 10am, actually most shops are opened already. :) just that probably during afternoon, it’s much crowded. I love the wide spread of variety, although many shops are duplicated but you really can get anything and everything you want, from apparels, to medicated oils, scent, shoes, housewares, bags and much all. U can try to recognize the areas by sections. Would suggest one, organize and decide to shop in one direction, if not really can get lost in the “maze”.

Some of the shops do offer wholesale.. you probably get some discounts if you buy more. They do give plastic bags. So don’t need worry if no carrier/plastic bag.

You can easily spent up to 5-6 hours here.

A beautiful handicraft market that offers such a wide variety of affordable clothing, handicraft goods (both affordable and expensive kind) and some good street food. You can spend hours and hours here and still not be finished with the market. The layout is a bit confusing, especially with the multiple lanes inside and no clarity if you've already perused one or not. It might be nice to have a system.

If you want to do a LOT of shopping but only have a few bucks in your pocket, head here and prepare to be absolutely overwhelmed by the experience. There are literally thousands of little storefront here, selling just about everything you can think of (and counterfeits of everything else!). There’s nothing quite like this kind of open market, and this is one of the largest in the world. Note it is only open on weekends, only 9a-6p (not a night market!), it is full of tight turns and narrow halls, and there are a lot of people in those halls. Not for the claustrophobic and should be approached with a plan by those with limited mobility. For those worried about summer heat, much of the market is covered and there is semi-air con in many sections (there are about 50 sections with 8-10 rows of 5-6 vendors each), plus large outdoor streets as well. It was a lot of fun for us, and we filled bags with clothes while spending less than US$100 in total.

Very big and beautiful market. A lot of varieties.
Prices are okay not very expensive but not very cheap. They do have some special items.

Recommended for shopping lovers!

Nice shopping on the weekend. Good price for some items. Good place to soak up the local culture and to support local artisan and buskers!

Don’t forget to get your paper map from the info counter to find out which section sells the merchandise u are looking for. From wood carvings, silverware to cool fashion such a loma whale and even breezy store selling home fragrances at almost 30% discount.
