Clean and great hotel. But the hotel does not have services on take away breakfast. I had to go to the airport at 4 am in the morning and a day before I left, I asked the receptionist to prepare take a way breakfast and they said no take away breakfast service. Other than that is perfecto

Very pleasant place to stay while coursing my cooking course at Suan Dusit University. Lovely staff and great breakfast with many choices. Also, the restaurant has amazing food and very inexpensive. Massage specialist and large swimming pool. Very good

What a lovely hotel. I stayed here for one night and it's totally amazing. It's really cheap which costs only 30 USD a night with breakfast for two. Parking space is maybe a little narrow but with the help of the security guard, it's easier to park than you think. The room is well-maintained and full-functioned. The building two has four floors. There is a hot-water pot in front of the lift in the hallways 24/7. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

This review is only based on their restaurant! My friend took me here for lunch, and I was told that they have a famous culinary school here that the students cook the food. We ordered a lot, and none of the dishes disappointed us. They serve authentic Thai food with reasonable price, and good services! Highly recommend!

At about $35 per night, sitting across from the Royal Palace in Bangkok, suan dusit Hotel is an excellent value! I'd come back here again. A couple of caveats I'll start with, our lack of an exchange and the Art of Getting a hot-water to enjoy a bath or shower. It takes a bit of finesse. The trick is to start with hot and then once you have a nice hot stream cool it off and pull the plug so you can enjoy your shower. Water pressure is variable however.

Now on to the good stuff! They have an in-house massage offering that is excellent. It is higher than you would pay on the street, but not once you factor in the cost of a taxi ride to and from. You really don't have to leave the hotel for that. It's an honest massage, so those seeking baser pleasures should go elsewhere. You could also get a free breakfast with each day of your stay, as well as lunch and dinner for an extra cost. You can eat very well individually for under 200 Baht per meal, which is about $6 at this writing.

Other things to know are the readily available taxis in this area, which are extremely affordable. Once you get away from the area of the palace you will start finding more tuk-tuks, which are generally three-wheeled People Movers. They're ubiquitous and most other sounds of medium-sized and larger. Even in small towns it is common to find some sort of Passenger service for individuals and small groups.

My traveling partner and I use this is our home base while we went to other areas of Thailand. You can have your luggage held if there's more than you need to take with you to overnight in short jobs in other parts of the country. You can also leave your laundry off for them to prepare and have ready when you return. Having a moderate amount of items laundered in this hotel will run you under $10 us.

There is a gym around the property by the university next door. Guests may enjoy this. Would be better if that were in the hotel proper however. Considering the safe location, your money will go pretty far at this place. Virtually all of the taxi drivers know where it is if you get lost in downtown Bangkok. Even if they don't know the hotel they will know where the Royal Palace is.

Finally, the staff, will not always fully literate in your language of choice, will bend over backwards to help you when possible.

This is a training centre for the Suan Dusit University ......need I say more?No it is not high tech.... .but that's why it is precious...... the Young ones learning Hospitality Management.....I thought I knew all about this subject....and in the fast changing world.... something will never change..... that is house keeping.....and food and beverage... try the inclusive breakfast...... you will know what I mean.......then try any dish from the restaurant..... Don't tell everyone..!. Keep something special..... please.....not for the masses...... nothing to do around....or nearby except ......walk..... walking....and more walking...
