Baan Thai House

We have just spent 2 very relaxing nights at this beautiful tranquil haven. It was booked many months ago, as an ideal place to stay after we'd left the crazy chaos of Bankok, and it really exceeded my expectations!

The staff are exceptionally - so friendly and helpful. The gardens are perfectly maintained and the swimming pool is very refreshing!! (The only thing I would say about the pool is that you do need to plan your exit before entering - there are no steps; so a less able person may struggle.)
The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the buffet element had a decent choice of alternatives too.

Baan Thai House is such a wonderful restorative location for both body and soul.

Staff are very friendly making you feel very welcomed. The place is very serene with small villas as rooms. We could stay comfortably 4 of us in one of these villas. Plus there’s a pool which the kids really enjoyed.
The only thing I would comment on (though it’s not about the hotel itself) is that it’s a traffic mess if arriving by car. The main road just before you drive into another small road to reach the hotel is under construction causing traffic jam. And it’s expected to be under construction until March 2024 (at the time when this review is written it’s November 2023).

We loved everything about Baan Thai House
The staff were extremely helpful in every way. Our villa was comfortable and spacious with a lovely private balcony overlooking the lake. The whole place was so calm and tranquil and the location is perfect for visiting the World Heritage site . We ate the restaurant both evenings, the food was delicious. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of items.

Everything was perfect!
We stayed here for 4 nights. My mom booked the Thai House and my toddler and I stayed in the Villa.
The stuff is really child friendly!
The rooms were clean also the pool with included child pool.
The breakfast was super fresh and the lunch and dinner was also super tasty!
The stuff will book a TukTuk driver for you if you want to see the old temples or go to shopping mall for a cheap price - the drivers back wanted 50-100 baht more then the hotel driver.

We would stay here again, thank you for the nice days with you!

This is one of the best resorts i know in Thailand and its so picturesque and calm, peaceful and laid back ;)
Its also very popular with the Thai Movie scene too .
Lots of wooden bungalows and furniture all over the resort and its located close to the attractions .
It includes Breakfast which is one of the better ones and the staff and management are great , friendly and helpful .There are many differrent rooms and styles here at differrent levels of prices.
Its certainly not for backpackers if living on a budget but well worth the stay here if you can :)
Will never stay elsewhere when in Ayuttaya as nothing comes close when you compare prices and what you get or dont get at the other 4/5 star resorts/hotels.
Look no further if you want a stay to remember :)

We had a lovely stay. The staffs are very nice and helpful. Nice location, you can walk to train station from there. The place is peaceful and many trees, it's refreshing. The resort offers free bicycles too. The swimming pool was nice and clean. The bed was a little hard but bearable, and it would be great if there's an outlet near the bed so we can charge our electric devices.

Beautiful accommodation in traditional Thai style, super nice and helpful stuff, cosy and clean rooms, beautiful garden, good food, great massage. Perfect choice for stay in Ayutthaya, I recommend!!!

A very nice albeit smaller resort with a pool and beautiful little villa rooms for rent. There is parking on the premises and the train station is a 600m walk away. Morning breakfast is basic but good, and the landscaping and pond is nice. Ask for a villa on the pond, these have nice decks to sit and enjoy the view.

It was an amazing 2 night stay! It is unique to stay in a Thai-Style Bungalow next to the beautiful pond. The staff was very friendly and helpful from arrival to check-out. The breakfast was simple but great to start the day and the pool area is cozy to relax after exploring Ayutthaya. I strongly recommend for other travelers who wish to experience staying in a unique Thai-Style accommodation.

Looks way better than the pictures. Very peaceful, and the staff is amazing. Bring ear plugs because the AC is loud. Breakfast with fresh fruit and served eggs. Beds are comfortable, Kingsize

If you plan one night stay-over in Ayuttaha, arrive here before sunset and do some touring the next morning. Leave late in the afternoon so you can enjoy the pool and quietness. Would def recommend to stay min. two nights if you have the time, you probably regret not staying longer as you can take massages, and the pool is nice. Tuk to city center is less than 3 euro, so don't worry not staying 'at the Island'. They can arrange every type of tour: boot or bike - even cheaper here than some tour operators. Highly recommended after busy Bangkok

We stayed at Baan Thai about eight months ago (May 2022) and I can't believe I didn't leave a review! Absolutely loved this place. We had a cute little bungalow overlooking the 'pond'. Comfortable room, peaceful location, and friendly, helpful staff. There is a nice pool area and they have a tuk tuk service to take you into town. Breakfast was included - don't expect five-star, western standards, but rustic, home style and more than sufficient. Definitely going to go back one day soon.

One of the best accommodation i had the pleasure of staying in while travelling through Thailand! Everything was perfect, would highly recommend! Lunch (pad thai) and Breakfast was delicious. The room and bed was super comfortable and the Staff extremely welcoming and helpful.

The hotel offered us two bikes for free and also a well thought out route/plan to visit all the temples around town for the day.

They really did go the extra mile to make sure we have a wonderful stay!

P.s feeding the fish was also extra fun, can't wait to come back thank you!

From beginning to the end perfect. Very nice little resort, nice pool, cute garden area with a pond. Very attentive and helpful staff, very welcoming. Our two teenage boys loved this place, can’t wait to get back.

We have stayed several times at this lovely hotel and every stay has been outstanding. A tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Ayutthaya. Very quiet at night and easy to relax in peace. Gracious host provides amazing rooms and gardens, beautiful pool, free bicycles, and a relaxing experience. Highly recommended.

I stayed there at the end of September. Such a nice place to recover!!! Very friendly staff gives you good recommendations if you want to, very clean and comfortable rooms!
Enjoy delicious food and you can take a bicycle to go around in Ayutthaya. To go downtown by bike it’s not any problem, it’s a short trip and using a little ferry, makes fun!
I would have stayed more days but unfortunately didn’t have the time! If I can come back I definitely will stay there!! Best hotel in Thailand and Laos during my long 3 months trip!!

Definitely would rate this at 5 star, everything was just beautiful from the reception, to the rooms to the actual lobby of the hotel, the whole setting is just stunning very Thai’sh looking and you get some amazing sun sets, the staff members were so kind and sweet and very welcoming. They also have free bikes to take, which you can tour the city with which I thought was lovely because most hotels would charge you for this service but Baan Thai house don’t! Definitely be back!

Paradise away from home. This place exceeded our expectations in every way. It is quietly located outside of the city center, but all attractions in Ayutthaya are easy to reach. From the first to the last moment, the hotel and staff kept surprising us in a positive way. Easy parking, the security guard welcomed us with a friendly smile and helped to bring all our luggage to the room. The receptionist was very warm and friendly, check in was done in minutes and she also gave us great information on Ayutthaya. The owner said hello to us and was so kind and friendly. You can feel the love she poured into this resort everywhere, and all staff represent this place in a happy and content manner.
The whole resort is done beautifully, wonderful gardens, with a swimming pool and relaxing area, a lake, lotus pond, several fountains and fish swimming in the restaurant area. You will spend the most relaxing and peaceful time in this paradise. The room is spacious, very clean, nicely furnished and decorated with a lot of attention to detail. There are big mugs to make your tea (not tiny cups), a good fridge, TV, aircon is working great, ample storage space for all your stuff, big bedside tables, a comfortable bed... the list is endless. It is perfection. (the only idea for improvement we had was to have the light switches and plugs on both sides of the bed, now each is on one side so charging is a bit tricky and there could be more plugs overall, but hey that is all we could "find" ;) ). One note to friends traveling together: the bathroom and toilet are open to the bedroom, so if you need privacy you might want to ask to have a room with separate toilet or two rooms. it was fine for us just might be interesting for other travelers.
Simple but nice breakfast with all you need, a small lunch and dinner menu - there was no problem to create some vegetarian dish for us in the evening, delicious wine too.
We will be back for sure and can only recommend this place to any traveler to Ayutthaya. Excellent value for money.

An oasis of peace, natural beauty and traditional Thai architecture. We spent two nights in one of the gorgeous Thai villas with our patio right above the pond. Absolute bliss. The resort is close to the railway station and to the ferry pier. The owner and the staff are ever so lovely and helpful. Highly recommended!

What a cute little local place. We actually found it through a friend who stayed here a month or so again. We stayed in one of the suites. The room was big and clean with a nice patio over looking the lake.

There is a nice pool which we did not use but still is nice. You can canoe in the lake and hang out in the garden as you wish.

The breakfast was good and you can’t beat the prices.

It’s a quick TuK TuK ride into the UNESCO area to tour the ruins. They will arrange a TuK TuK driver for you as well. They do have bikes for free but you do need to cross a big road to bike into the heritage area.

Would definitely recommend this place.
