Nice place to learn the history of Japanese settlers in Ayutthaya.

Well manicured gardens. Museums outlining the trade that took place between the Japanese and Thais in Ayutthaya.

The ticket cost is 50 baht per person.
Women can rent traditional Japanese clothing to wear during their visit.

There is a quick service restaurant in the back of the village for a bite.

The actual location of a Japanese village from the Ayutthaya era. Good place for taking photos and learning the history of Japanese - Thai relationships.

I recently visited the Japanese Village in Ayutthaya, Thailand, and it was a wonderful experience that I will not soon forget. The village is a small but charming replica of a traditional Japanese village, complete with wooden buildings, a Japanese garden, and even a small shrine.

One of the standout features of the Japanese Village is the attention to detail that has been put into every aspect of the design. From the architecture to the landscaping, everything is carefully crafted to create an authentic and immersive experience. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The village also features a small museum showcasing Japanese artifacts and antiques, as well as a gift shop selling Japanese souvenirs and snacks. There is also a small tea house where visitors can enjoy a cup of green tea and a Japanese sweet while taking in the beautiful scenery.

Overall, I highly recommend the Japanese Village to anyone visiting Ayutthaya. It is a unique and immersive experience that offers a glimpse into traditional Japanese culture, and the attention to detail and peaceful atmosphere make it a truly special place. Whether you are a fan of Japanese culture or simply looking for a relaxing and scenic spot to visit, the Japanese Village is definitely worth a visit.

A lot of corner to take great photos. Japanese restaurant is not opened yet as of Dec 4, 2021. Kimono dress for rent at THB200 is a must.

Explore Japanese history in Thailand!

The Japanese Village was a nice change of pace from visiting the many temple ruins in Ayutthaya. It also helped us appreciate the vast influence & power of ancient Siam.

The village includes some typical museum artifacts, several video presentations as well as memorials and gardens.

Built on the grounds of the original Japanese settlement, this serene & educational riverside museum is just a quick Tuk Tuk ride from the Ayutthaya train station.

Visiting this historical village invovling figures inclduing Yamada Nagamasa was something I've been looking forward to, and it didn't disappoint. The village has two main exhibition halls – one showcasing the general history of foreigners in the Ayutthaya era and another specifically about the Japanese influence. The ambiance truly captures the Japanese essence. There's a relaxing long bench by a zen rock garden, perfect for chilling and enjoying the river view. They also have a restaurant on-site. The exhibition layout is simple, yet it's filled with engaging content, including mini theaters and even a VR app that takes you back in time. Parking inside is limited, but the parking staff are really helpful.

An interesting but small museum about the historical Japanese village that once thrived here. The museum is located on the village's former grounds. While not large, it definitely provides a good deal of information about something that isn't widely known. While not a must see for everybody, it's definitely worth going to if you have an interest in international Japanese communities or the historical demographic of Ayutthaya.

A trade and cultural diversity museum. A history themed trip to Ayutthaya would benefit from a visit here as details on the many ethnicities in the City during its prime are provided.
