Elephant Kraal Pavilion

This place takes good care of their elephants. The elephants are chained for their safety living in the city. There are many grass fields in the vicinity so the elephants are taken to safe spots to eat and then to the river for a swim twice a day or more. During the heat of the day nothing happens, it is too hot! Activity happens early morning or late afternoon when it is more comfortable for them and their humans. These elephants are so calm!

Some people say that this farm should not exist and the animals should be free. But i will say You have same cattle farms, but you take care of that animals to eat them. Noone eats elephants here.
We have to accept the fact that elephants can be domestic. And they don't feel bad about it. Small ones are walking around the territory. People are very nice. They are watching big ones, taking them on the rides to stretch the legs. Yess, most of animals are chained. But that is needed for both security people and elephant.
And if you like these beautiful animals, you can stay there like in a hotel. And give the help you can give. I am disappointed that i found it out too late. I would like to stay.

This was a surprise, elephants and a monument. Yes the adults are chained, but this is so u can get close to feed them. Several babies, also a good sign. This is also free, and u can buy g od for 50baht to feed the elephants. A definite go to for me. I have seen wild elephants and while nothing beats that, this was a close encounter!

If you love elephants and want to see them being taken care of, this is the place to go to. Playing with baby elephants will be an added bonus.

It seems no one but locals are experiencing the monument: they seat there playing a sort of chess game.

ใครผ่านมาทางนี้ คงคิดว่าเป็นอนุสาวรีย์กษัตริย์อยุธยาทรงช้างพร้อมจตุลังคบาทตั้งอยู่ใกล้กับพระที่นั่งเพนียด แต่จริงๆแล้วเป็นกษัตริย์ของพม่านะครับ เคยดูอาจารย์ตุ๊กบางปะอิน บอกว่า สร้างอนุสาวรีย์กษัตริย์มหาราชของพม่าล้อมอนุสาวรีย์พระสุริโยทัย แต่มีคนคัดค้านดูไม่ดี ที่กษัตริย์นักรบของพม่ามาล้อมผู้หญิงคนเดียว เลยย้ายมาประจำอยู่ที่นี้ แต่ชาวบ้านบริเวณนี้ถือเคล็ดหักดาบทหารพม่าหมดเลย สังเกตดาบไม่ได้ถูกขโมยนะ แต่ถูกชาวบ้านบริเวณนีัหักดาบ ใครผ่านมาบริเวณถ้าไม่สังเกตชุดคงคิดว่ากษัตริย์อยุธยา ปัจจุบันทรุดโทรมป้ายบอกชื่อของกษัตริย์พม่าหายหมดแล้วครับ ส่วนประวัติพระที่นั่งเพนียดตามนี้ครับ ไปมาวันที่ 28/4/67

เพนียดคล้องช้าง คือสถานที่สำหรับการจับช้างหน้าพระที่นั่ง แต่เดิมเคยใช้พื้นที่ข้างพระราชวังจันทรเกษม จนถึงสมัยสมเด็จพระมหาจักรพรรดิจึงย้ายมาที่ที่ตั้งอยู่ในปัจจุบัน
ในสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา ช้าง เป็นสัตว์ที่มีความสำคัญสูงมาก เป็นพาหนะของชนชั้นสูงสำหรับพระราชดำเนินทางบก และเป็นเหมือนรถถังหรือ เครื่องมือสำคัญในการนำลี้พลเข้าต่อสู้กับข้าสึก ยิ่งถ้าเป็นช้างเผือก สิ่งมงคลคู่บารมีของพระมหากษัตริย์ด้วยแล้ว พระองค์ก็จะโปรดเกล้าฯให้นำมาเลี้ยง และประดับยศศักดิ์ให้ด้วย
พระมหากษัตริย์ในสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา น่าจะเสด็จมาทอดพระเนตรการคล้องช้างด้วยเสมอ เพราะนอกจากจะเป็นขั้นตอนในการคัดเลือกช้างแล้ว ยังเป็นมหรสพชนิดหนึ่งอีกด้วย

ไม่ค่อยมีนทท. สามารถจอดรถแล้วเดินขึ้นไปชมได้เลย สวยงามครับ แต่ถ้าจะชมและเลี้ยงช้างต้องขับรถเลยเข้าไปในศูนย์

เป็นสถานที่ประกอบราชพิธีคล้องช้างมาตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยา นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถเเวะชมถ่ายรูปได้และมีหมู่บ้านช้างในบรเวณด้านข้าง เเละอนุเสาวรีย์ที่เเสดงถึงการคั้งขบวนช้างในการออกศึกอยู่ทางด้านข้างเช่นกัน

จอดรถสะดวก จอดตรงบันไดแล้วเดินขึ้นไปชมด้านบนได้

สถานที่มีประวัติมาช้านาน และถ้าอยากรู้ว่าเขาเอาไว้ทำอะไรล่ะก็ ไปหาดูได้ในการ์ตูนเรื่องก้านกล้วยได้เลย

Historique avec le klaal. Mais surtout la ferme à côté de 60 éléphants dont 4 bébés tout simplement adorable.
On peut les observer de près les voir prendre leur douche manger et même les caresser pour les plus gentils d'entre eux.
Vous pouvez leur donner à manger pour 50 dates il n'y a aucune activité commerciale et c'est vraiment très agréable. Je suis allée en vélo du centre d'Ayutthaya c'est très facile il y a maximum 4 km.

สถานที่ก็โอเคค่ะ ... มีแค่ช้างให้เด็กๆดู มีให้อาหารค่ะตะกร้าละ50฿ มีชาวต่างชาติ มาเลี้ยงช้าง น่ารักดีค่ะ ได้ดูช้างใกล้ชิด

เป็นสถานที่สำหรับคล้องช้างในสมัยอยุธยา ได้เห็นภูมิปัญญาของคนสมัยเก่า ที่สามารถเอาชนะสัตว์ใหญ่ได้
