Exceptional service with beautifully decorated interior. Rooms are amazing and aesthetically pleasing. Very quiet and dark to give off perfect romantic vibes. The staff were extremely nice and helpful with giving advice and thoroughly attentive. We purchased a king suite and we felt like queens our entire stay. Absolutely stunning 10-10!

Hey there, fellow traveler! Let me spill the tea on my stay at the Shanghai Mansion Hotel in Bangkok's lively Chinatown.

First off, let's talk location. This place is like hitting the jackpot in a game of hotel roulette. Tucked away in the heart of Chinatown, you're basically surrounded by a whirlwind of culture, street food, and endless exploration. It's like being in a bustling maze of sights, smells, and sounds.

Now, let's talk digs. The room? Oh man, it's like stepping into a vintage dream. Think rich colors, intricate patterns, and all the little details that make you feel like you're in a period drama (minus the drama, hopefully). And don't even get me started on the bed – it's like sleeping on a cloud that's been infused with pure bliss.

But wait, there's more! They hit you up with a free breakfast situation that's basically the perfect fuel for your day of urban adventures. And let's not forget about the afternoon tea time – it's like a fancy little oasis in the middle of your day, complete with entertainment to keep things interesting.

Now, about that rose bar. Yeah, it's a tad on the pricey side, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny. Picture this: smooth jazz vibes, cozy atmosphere, and a drink menu that's basically a love letter to mixology. Plus, they throw in some live music in the evenings to really set the mood.

So there you have it – the Shanghai Mansion Hotel in Chinatown Bangkok is basically a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. From the prime location to the fantastic rooms and all the little extras thrown in, it's the perfect home base for your Bangkok adventures. Trust me, you won't regret checking into this slice of vintage paradise.

The outside does not do justice for the inside of this nice and quaint hotel. Amazing deco. Rooms were nice, clean, and well decorated. The service was great. A gem within the chaos of Chinatown.

In the heart of Chinatown, Bangkok Shanghai Mansion delivers what it offers, from the interior design enhancing the unique atmosphere of its surroundings as to the authentic Chinese menu at its restaurant with great service.

The most delightful and professional reception and customer care, which in its reflection my stay became of a pleasant experience from the start.
The breakfast buffet actually is one of my highlights with an extensive variety and freshness buffet served on the decores sun lighted space.

The location makes easy to explore the city’s cultural landmarks as to Chinatown’s colourful life!

The hotel is an awesome place to explore Bangkok. The rooms are stylish and offer anything you need. We highly recommend the Chinese tea hour from Thursday to Sunday from 2 to 3 pm. Thank you hotel and staff for having us :)

Stayed here for one night before flying back to London (final stop on our trip). Our room was upgraded for my girlfriend's birthday and it was incredible, huge bed and bath in the room. The night we arrived the bar was completely full and there was a band playing. We were on the 3rd floor but could still hear them as we tried to sleep at 11:30pm. Would recommend if you can stay for one night and get a discount price, otherwise £200+ per night is a lot (We paid £70). I also bought two small Leo's at the bar and was charged 450bht, which was the most I've paid for local beer my entire holiday!!

Very nice staff, great location. Just a mix-up with the bedroom on my first day, but they sorted it out. The food is delicious, the buffet breakfast changes every day and the restaurant downstairs has grear music.

This place is amazing. The interior is beautiful and curated down to fine details. Nothing was in a state of disrepair or unclean. Our room had a VERY comfortable bed, nice lounging chair, and a spacious bathroom with waterfall shower. Kind of felt like we were staying inside a piece of art.

Easy to get to from the MRT blue line, get off on the Wat Mangkorn stop. The Ratchawong river taxi stop is also about a 12 minute walk or quick tuktuk ride. Take the little alleys if you walk to stay cooler and avoid vehicle fumes (also the experience).

Being inside, especially the rooms but also the quiet areas outside the hotel rooms transports you to a different world from the hustle and many scents of the outside.

Service was exceptional and all staff including servers spoke English well enough to not have to use a translation app. The jazz bar and restaurant up front are open to the sidewalk but stay cool, so it's good for people watching as the night vendors come out without breaking a sweat. There seemed to be live music every night.

A truly awesome place for those who wants to booked for a place to sleep. Room qualities is above standard. Breakfast has variety of choices if you are looking for standards one. Location are also pretty convenient and good enough as they were near Yaowarat. Services are very satisfactory, employees are very handful and polite willing to assist or helps you as much as possible.
There also have a open-air music playing which might disturbs some customer who wants to sleep early but they will finish on 10pm.
To sum up, I myself is not a demanding person as I just looking for a decent place to stay and this place is just perfect for me which there are only minor issue which are acceptable in what they provides in room.

My partner and I stayed at Shanghai Mansion for four nights and have pleasantly enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s visiting Bangkok.

The one thing we absolutely find worth staying about in this hotel is its location, especially since we wanted a hotel right in Yaowarat / Chinatown - it’s literally steps away from finding a great dining spot and not more than half an hour from finding other great places in Bangkok. It’s also surprisingly quiet inside despite the business of chinatown, and the decor was tasteful despite not having an actual window with a view (which was quite understandable, imo).

Their staff are very friendly and even allowed a late check-out for me until 13:00 as my flight leaves in the evening. I also tried their Signature Burasari 90-minute massage on the day of my check-out which was so lovely and just what I needed after a two-week trip in Thailand.

My only notes during the stay was that the shower temperature was quite difficult to control (it’s almost as if the hot water doesn’t work), the doors are only locked with a wooden latch which sometimes doesn’t feel as secure (though we didn’t lose anything, thankfully) and the public washroom in the ground floor has a little bit of a foul smell (but that could just be me being nit-picky).

Right in Chinatown, I came to the pub to have a drink with visiting friends. The live band is good, so are the snacks.

A nice hotel in the heart of Bangkok's Chinatown. The night entertainment is excellent while watching the crowd in the street. The room is clean and has the oriental taste. You can even borrow books to read from a little reading room on each floor. I found the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I always say that you judge a hotel's service not from when you check-in or during your stay but at the end of your stay. This hotel's service is superb right until the end of your stay. They help you with organising taxi to go to the airport and even organising breakfast box if you have to leave before the breakfast ready. I highly recommend this hotel. Even though Chinatown is a bit far away from major tourist attractions but it's so easy to find delicious meals with good price. I really enjoy the vibrant neighbourhood!
