Great views and abundant breakfast. The rooms need an upgrade but are still very pleasant. The pool areas are great and the taxi boat every 30min to the mall and the nearest metro station are very convenient.

Pros:
Great hotel. Pools are great, rooms are great albeit very dated. Beds are very comfortable. Views are amazing. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Cons:
Restaurants and bars are very expensive as well as any supporting drinks or food at the pools.
Considering there is ample option of street food stalls and restaurants just outside the hotel, it seems over over priced options at the hotel as well as spa options. There are many massage places and nail salons just outside.

If you are a big fan of River’s life, this hotel is definitely a must.
The place is with a stunning view of Chaopraya’s curve.
You can also see and cross the river to Icon Siam, one of the best luxury shopping arcade in Thailand.
The room, the service and the food are just fantastic.
Next to the hotel is the pier that you can take the boat ride to other attractions, like emerald Buddha, or any other part of the old town.
Driving here is not ideal, better to take the boat ride to avoid complications of parking lot.

Love this hotel. It is absolutely huge, so there's a risk that it could be industrialized and impersonal. However the staff are so helpful , polite and attentive that you always feel that you're in a home from home. The quality of the food in the Club Lounge is outstanding. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Great location on the river. Look forward to returning many times.

Great rooms with stunning river view. Facing Iconsiam, a new mall on the opposite side of the river easily accessible by shuttle boat.
Just outside the hotel, you can have fresh and delicious Thai street food. We had our dinner there every night during our stay.
The hotel surprised my husband with a lovely birthday cake. It was a nice touch, very much appreciated.
Rooms are clean, hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is good.

Excellent hotel, very well located and with an outstanding team to assist. I had a wonderful week at Sheraton. The view from the room was amazing.
One thing I would also like to highlight is the continental breakfast buffet served. Complete and with local and international flavors.

Great location and service. Rooms a little dated but comfortable so it's not a major issue. It would be nice if they did a little refurbishment to make the room feel more current / updated. Also there is a shuttle boat to ICON Siam every half hour except lunch hour until 10pm. Really wished the last boat was maybe 15 mins later as some river cruises return to ICON Siam at 10pm and you won't have time to get on the boat back to the hotel. There are public boats and taxis but it gets pretty packed at 10pm. It will take an extra half hour to one hour without the shuttle boat due to the crowd.

Stayed for three nights in the heart of Bangkok. Great rooms with view on the river, excellent breakfast buffet, great facilities and service. The hotel is situated right next to public boat stops, very convenient to visit palace and temples without traffic hassle.

Stayed here for the weekend and it was a wonderful and relaxing staycation but the river. Room is super clean and complete with amenities.

Breakfast is excellent and the lunch buffet offers a lot of options.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm and attentive staff who ushered me into the hotel's grand lobby adorned with Thai-inspired decor. The check-in process was seamless, and I was swiftly escorted to my room, which boasted breathtaking views of the river and the city skyline. The room itself exuded opulence, with plush furnishings, modern amenities, and a sense of tranquility that provided a welcome retreat from the bustling city outside.

Throughout my stay, I indulged in the hotel's myriad offerings. The dining options were diverse and exquisite, ranging from traditional Thai cuisine to international fare served in elegant settings overlooking the river. The hotel's spa and fitness center provided the perfect escape for relaxation and rejuvenation, offering a range of indulgent treatments and state-of-the-art facilities.

One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's riverfront pool area, where I spent lazy afternoons lounging by the infinity pool, soaking in the panoramic views of the river and the city beyond. In the evenings, the hotel came alive with live music performances and cultural shows especially Thai Dance on Friday evenings, adding to the enchanting ambiance. There is complimentary to and fro ferry service to Icon Siam Mall from the Hotel.

Overall, my experience at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Bangkok was nothing short of exceptional. From its impeccable service to its stunning surroundings, this hotel truly embodies the essence of luxury and hospitality. Whether you're a discerning traveler or a leisure seeker, a stay at this magnificent property is sure to leave you enchanted and inspired.

You can easily get to Icon Siam using the hotel's private boat, and BTS accessibility is also good.

Small streets, small shops, a neighborhood atmosphere close to local life, a fancy shopping center for tourists, and a small cafe with drip coffee. The swimming pool in the hotel has a maximum depth of 3 m for adults only, which is why I like it the most.

We had a nice 6 night stay. This was our second time staying here. The location is great with restaurants, coffee shops and street food just outside. The hotel's shuttle boat to IconSiam runs every 30mins. Si Phraya public pier is just nearby too. The staff were efficient and helpful. In-room dining was good. Lots of storage space in the room. Get the IconSiam/river view for dynamic views day and night. Would stay here again.

Excellent location, service and quality. Mr. A, who has worked there for over 30 years, was so hospitable and generous. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bangkok. Some of the rooms have the best views of Icon Siam and the Chao Phraya river. Includes pool, fitness center, several great restaurants, ferry service and more.

Great place to stay,convenient to all sorts of transportation, great street food just outside, specially Frog and her crew. Everybody in the hotel super friendly. Shopping malls 5 minutes away. Great breakfast too. Views incredible.

The staff at this property are all good! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable..
On the downside, front desk is always crowded with a long queue..

The hotel is beautifully situated at the shores of Chao Phraya river. It has its own quay and bout that takes you over to the new chopping centre ICONSIAM on the opposite side of the river and a little down the river to the sky train station. About one 100 meters from the hotel is the communal quay that is frequented by several boats and boat lines. This is also a small shopping centre with many antique and art dealers among others.
All the rooms have a river view due to the very smart layout of the building with only the corridor windows heading to the city. The junior suits that are on the club levels, from 17 and up, are spacious with a living room and a bedroom and places to put your clothes and other stuff. The bathroom is also pretty large with a good shower area and also with a bathtub for traditionalists. They are probably a tiny number nowadays. However, the furniture and the carpet look old and not very attractive. This together with the carpets in corridors and other public areas devalue somewhat the impression of the hotel and should be updated. Otherwise the hotel looks good and lives up to its five-star level in the lobby, restaurants, the gym and pool area. The club levels have a own dining room at the 27th floor for breakfast and drinks in the late afternoon. When you also can get a lot of different snacks together with your drink. Very nice indeed, so I do recommend picking one of these rooms. One very important quality of this hotel is their staff. They are plentiful, competent, helpful and very nice.

An absolutely excellent stay in this riverfront hotel.
Although rooms are worn they appear very clean.
Front Desk was nice and both check-in and check-out was quick and hassle free. We got an early check in which was nice after a 14 hour travel.
The location is perfect opposite ICONSIAM shopping mall and the hotel has a free shuttle boat every 30 minutes.
I do recommend the ICONSIAM view.
The lounge, located on the 27th floor, is large and quiet even when crowded. Foods and beverages are varied and cocktails from 17-20 are a combination of known cocktails and own signature cocktails.
The service level is very high and staff is welcoming and always smiling.
All in all this hotel is a real pleasure to stay in.
Finally I have to say that the main reason we will return to this hotel is Mr. Nimit (P’Ae) whose calm personality and super service mind made the stay even better than expected. He was always there to fulfill our needs and he gave us a super service, not because he had to but because he wanted to.

Outstanding in every respect...be it the complimentary boat ride to Icon Siam, responsiveness in hospitality as well as the breakfast platter and food. The view from the room of the Riverside will be a lifelong memory to savour.

Centrally located. Siam Yacht club has 2 for one drinks at happy hour which is a nice bonus to the very pleasant river front balcony.

I am pretty sure it is an old hotel after looking at the curtain style, bathroom style, reading light style... 😂

But the rooms are good, good mattress, clean rooms, safe lockers, iron box and ironing pad (some of the new hotels do not have them nowadays)..

Got a nice river view room.

Good and fast room service, food as well as cleaning.

Overall, very nice and staying here for 10 days. This is third day and everything is consistent.
