Stumbled upon Philtration thanks to the Step by Step the series, and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The entrance, tucked away in an underground spot within an old building, provides a speak-easy experience. The tunnel entrance, filled with smooth jazz and vintage decor, sets a captivating mood. Upon sliding a shelving unit, you unveil the entrance to the speak-easy bar.

Inside, Philtration offers various spaces, from cozy sitting areas to a small dance floor and a live music setup. During my weekday visit, the place was quiet, creating a serene atmosphere. While there was no live music, the jazzy background music and overall ambiance were fantastic. I tried their mocktails and cocktails, accompanied by complimentary snacks. Additional snacks are available for order, though they are standard options. The cocktails were impressive, and there's a variety of wine and other alcoholic beverages. On weekends, expect a livelier scene with more live music. The staff, for the most part, is friendly and speaks decent English, although there might be a few who seem less engaged.

Overall, it offers a unique and atmospheric experience worth exploring.

In what feels like a very hidden speakeasy, this venue pays off in a big way with incredible decor, amazing selection of drinks and wonderful staff. We went twice and tried 10 of the signature cocktails, all of which were delicious and unique.
It really pays to chat to your server who can tell you so much more about the drink in front of you.

The walk up to the end of the laneway, tunnel through the basement, puzzling secret door, low ceiling heights and low lit decor gives this place an authentic speakeasy feel.

They pair superstitious health benefits associated with their cocktail elements. We we're indulged by their play on the novelty of Chinese traditional medicine.

We enjoyed early drinks on a weekday night. The crowd of young local upper echelons came in around 10pm and we left not long after that as it got a bit noisy and cramped.

Mysterious bar, located at the basement, I even can’t find the entrance, atmosphere is super nice, they have live band performances, the bartenders speak excellent English, cocktails are ok.

Good vibe. Complimentary banana chips was awesome! The bartender can recommend you a drink base on the taste you prefer. I brought so many friends and they all love it!

Speakeasy at basement of building. Quite dark if you come at night. Will lead you to a tunnel and you have to open via the book shelf. Interesting drinks with herbs & health concepts behind them. About 400B per cocktail.

The place is not too easy to find, but once you figure it out, you’re in for a treat. The place is hidden, has great atmosphere and offers great cocktails inspired by traditional medicine.

It would be difficult for you to find out the entrance since it is a speak easy bar.

The Mystery Bar that hidden in underground, Serve the Spices and Herbs Drinks with the concept of Pharmacist. It's a good experience in Bangkok with antique atmosphere. Recommended.

The real hidden bar in the basement of 100 years old house. The cocktail is highly influence from Thai herb inwhich co-relate with the history of the place. The vibe is astonishing. The cocktail is ver very very good. The price is not cheap but worth every bit of it. Highly recommend the cocktail from bartender name P' nok. His Boulevardier is amazing. You wouldn't regret visiting here. And they also have a live jazz music.

I came here at 6 they didn’t open to seven. Had a beer at 711, then came back. Great drinks and menu. Beats the constant dinging at bar 711
