I really had a great pleasure of visiting Chinatown. The atmosphere was great, energetic and lively with the beat of traditional thai music. You can find the food stalls in every corner of the street and try eating the diverse delicious flavours. Some food were new to me but still, I tested them out and each bite is a delightful discovery. The markets were also quite awesome; there was a whole bunch of unique crafts on display. Me and my friends had a really great time visiting there. I Wholeheartedly recommend exploring the Chinatown Night Market in Thailand.

Came close to the new year celebrations and the streets were lined with people and tourists and the atmosphere was great but lots and lots of people. Speaking Chinese with street hawkers and sellers always is fun and brings a smile. Great food options and lots of great things available. Worth visiting but definitely come in the evening.

This is a fun tourist place good for first timers to experience. It’s always packed and there are lots of typical market goods and some food options. It would be fun to eat as a small group in the evenings for dinner otherwise nothing notable during the day.

A must for everyone visiting Bangkok.
A Chinese market with many small side streets, in a colorful atmosphere.
The dreamlike scents of Asian cuisine invite you to stop at countless stalls and try something.
Culinary delicacies, fresh fruit and cool drinks at low prices.

Loved the hustle and bustle here!

Thai coconut 60baht was disappointing, old hard coconut :(

Pork skewer 35baht and squid 100baht was not bad. Red ruby 50baht at one of the dessert stalls was a little disappointing, had better ones in Msia before. There was only one stall that sold black sticky rice coconut dessert, that was a must try! Super good at 30baht! Pomegranate juice at 50baht was so good also!

As Bangkok’s weather cooled off, took a trip down to Chinatown….

Crowded as usual, but better traffic management, with safety considerations for road-side pedestrians (there are official fenced-off road side walk paths for pedestrians - well done to the relevant authorities!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻)
*photo no. 2 - yellow barricades not set up yet!

Prices have gone up noticeably….(after COVID), but the throngs of dinner crowd is never ending n persistent! Dinner-on-the-move…(order take away n eat while walking/shopping) is a common sight.

Come “walk” with me please…..

China Town in Bangkok is a vibrant and bustling area that offers a unique experience for visitors. As soon as you step into this neighborhood, you are greeted with a lively atmosphere, colorful street markets, and a wide array of delicious street food.

One of the highlights of China Town is the Yaowarat Road, which is the main street running through the area. This street is lined with shops selling everything from traditional Chinese herbs and medicines to gold jewelry and electronics. The street comes alive at night with bright neon lights and the aroma of street food filling the air.

Speaking of street food, China Town is a food lover's paradise. You can find a wide variety of dishes from different regions of China, as well as Thai-Chinese fusion cuisine. From steaming bowls of noodles to succulent roasted duck and crispy pork, there is something to satisfy every craving. Don't forget to try the famous mango sticky rice for dessert!

Exploring the narrow alleyways and backstreets of China Town is also a must-do. Here, you can find hidden temples, traditional Chinese shophouses, and local markets selling fresh produce and seafood. It's a great place to immerse yourself in the local culture and witness the daily lives of the residents.

One thing to note is that China Town can get quite crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. However, the vibrant atmosphere and the delicious food make it worth braving the crowds. Just be prepared to navigate through the narrow streets and be patient when waiting in line for your favorite street food.

Overall, China Town in Bangkok is a must-visit destination for food lovers and those looking to experience the vibrant culture of Thailand's Chinese community. It's a place where tradition meets modernity, and where you can indulge in delicious food while immersing yourself in the lively atmosphere.

Monday was less heaving than Sunday, but was there earlier and its to be expected running up to Chinese new year. Mainly food, surprised to only find one place selling buns. Work walking up the East end near the Wat for the gate, NY dragon and Daoist temple.
At the other end is the day market, a warren of dark passages very much a local market and if you go early enough teeming with people. On the far edge of the day market is the crocodile temple, with real live crocodiles.

The street is pretty busy during the day at Chinatown but the place can still come alive at night. Very convenient to commute as there are several bus lines. There are many vendors and stores alike. Some are more expensive than the other.

Chinatown Night Market in Bangkok is a captivating and vibrant slice of Chinese culture in the heart of Thailand's bustling capital. This bustling market, also known as Yaowarat, comes alive after dark, with streets lit up by colorful lanterns and a bustling atmosphere. It's a haven for food lovers, offering a delectable array of Chinese and Thai dishes, from mouthwatering street food to fine dining options. The market is also a treasure trove of trinkets, antiques, and souvenirs, making it a great place for shopping.

However, it can get incredibly crowded, and the narrow lanes can be a challenge to navigate. Bargaining is essential when shopping here. The sheer energy and cultural richness of Chinatown Night Market make it an unmissable experience for those looking to immerse themselves in Bangkok's diverse offerings.

Went and checked out Chinatown for the afternoon, The Jays Festival was going on. This festival celebrates vegetarian foods. Lots to see and while walking the streets, food sampling was incredible with amazing choices. Had a great time.

Products sold might not be the best quality but price is the most affordable in Bangkok. A lot of variety of products and lots of bargains. Good that the shops are facing each other and most shops does have shelters hence can avoided most rain and Aircon from shops help lower down the alley. Was there specifically for 林真香

Bkk can give you the finest China Town experience. Enjoy all the street foods there. I won’t recommend to try durians there, as being relatively expensive comparing to other local places.

Night markets are Asian / Bangkok favourite place for dates, smells, eat, drink and not quite blow your budget. A must visit to Bangkok’s yaowarat chinatown for bird nest sweet soup, shaved ice mix (dessert). Small eats, seafood….enjoy! Just beware most thai dishes are served with lots of lime, coriander, herbs, spicy chilis and sweet, so you need to tell the vendors to go easy on sugar and spiciness
