Our visit to this restaurant was highly enjoyable for my family and me. They serve delightful Thai cuisine that caters to both locals and tourists. Adjusting the spiciness level is easily accommodated, as the staff is more than willing to assist. Every employee exudes kindness and possesses an excellent service attitude. The restaurant, which is by the river, offers stunning views during the day and a calm atmosphere at night. While it can get a bit loud occasionally, the majority of guests are quite courteous.

Located just a few minutes walk from BTS Taksin, Sathorn Bridge and through local community and Masjid. This restaurant was built on a pier where now used for private tour. Contact the restaurant directly for long tail boat tour.

Local beer and good range of wine available. Food is okay here.

We were on a boat trip and happened to see this place from the water, looked it up and popped in for a drink. We then decided to return for dinner. It’s got a great vibe, the staff couldn’t have done more to help in terms of getting us a great table and getting us fed quickly. It’s poplar so expect to wait or get booked in if you can. Good value, great view and fab food.

What a great spot overlooking Chau Phraya river. I don't think you would stumble over this place you have to seek it out. I arrived at about 4pm and only just got a seat and that was reserved for 7pm like a few others that were reserved. Food is cheap and superb !

Excellent, on the river bar. Situated on a pontoon atmosphere, drinks, food is immense. If you are in BKK this place you have to visit.

Excellent location to come and relax.
I recommend this place for a midday bender in the weekends, come around noon and sit till sunset.
The beers are cold, the staff is friendly and the view is second to none just down at the river.
Food is ok, but not fantastic.
And sometimes it can become a bit too busy for the people that work there so your order will be forgotten. But just ask again and they’ll bring you what you want. The bill is always right, at least when we’ve been there.

A terrific little hole-in-the-wall, down the end of the road, right on the water. If you didn't know it was there, you would never find it.
You can grab a seat looking out on the river, nice place to watch the sunset.
The beer is cold, and the food is good.

Jacks bar is iconic in Bangkok. Great river views, good food and drinks. Just an all around good time. The mens room has some venting issues I have to think.

This is a wonderful and ideal located eatery and bar. One can enjoy very good Thai food (not too spicy) or sit back and relax just staring at the ship sailing on the river Chao Praya and have a beer or whatever you like. It can be busy in the weekends but the friendly staff always helps you to find a suitable table or a place at the bar overlooking the river. People are always cheerful and there is laughter and a friendly atmosphere. There is a nice mix of Thai people and foreigners from all over the world. It is my all time favorite place to go in Bangkok and I spend my first evening always here. Enjoy your stay!

Good experience, Good vibes, Nice view of Jaopaya river. Best place for dating or hangout with friends. The price of food is quite expensive for Thai. but if compare with the view and a quality it worth. You can see the sunset from this place. It’s beautiful. for sure, please make a reservation before coming.

I have visited the bar again and also make a booking before I go from facebook page ( I will arrive at 6 PM) At 5:45 PM. I’m at Jack bar, I found that They didn’t book any seat for me because all the seat was took since yesterday.

Very hole in the wall touristy place but it’s got a great vibe! The food here features many of the basic local favourites as well as some western food for tourists that can’t handle local cuisine. Good place to have a few beers and a few bites. Would recommend the super spicy seafood salad, then round out the meal with some congee to settle the heat down.

Some of the best food I had in all of Bangkok. Great service, super fast, great prices and can’t beat the river view for the price. Wish I found it sooner on my trip would have came back multiple times.

Such a fun place:) and maybe the best Pad thai in Bangkok.
Drink, eat and enjoy the river view

We were looking for a riverside bar in Bangkok next to our stay. We stumbled upon this bar. The place is peaceful during the day time. Loved the food and drinks, all reasonably priced. Met a cute parrot too 🦜💘.Crowd starts kicking in after evening. Overall we had a good time here with our friends.
** you can take a boat taxi from this bar to anywhere you want to go.

If you find yourself in Bangkok with nothing to do and just want to kick back with a cold drink in your hand, great food on your plate and watch the world go up and down the river, there is no better place than Jack's Bar. The staff are very friendly, the beer is ice cold and the food is first class. If you go early afternoon, then sit next to the busy river watching boats ferry people across to the shopping centres and hotels. The only problem arrives when the sun starts to set, streaming into seats and making it quite hot. The best option is to book the riverside seats for when the sun goes down behind the buildings and the air begins to cool a bit. The food can take a while to reach you depending on how busy they are - BUT - don't let that put you off as it is worth the wait. A "must visit" place.

Rustic setting, cruisy food and drinks right on the river. The prices are a bit above average, and the food is a bit variable (sometimes superb, sometimes less than extraordinary), but the venue is a true dive bar with million dollar views. It is a great place. Lots of expat Aussies here, and many other foreigners too.
We really enjoy this place because it's such a contradiction.

Came back six months later, this is our favourite dive bar anywhere. The place looks like it will fall into the river at any minute, but it has multi-million dollar views day and night. Perfect for sunset drinks and authentic Thai food, but make sure you ask Jack for authentic, not tourist food!

Love the auntie at the cash register, she is epic.

This a small bar and restaurant situated on the river. If you want a seat overlooking the river get there early, we did not but asked the staff to give us seats when they become available which they did. Seating is compact which allows you to chat easily with fellow diners. Good relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was ok. We sat for an hour watching the cruise boats and a good firework display on the river.

Chaotic little institution of a restaurant. The staff is in constant flux. Food was pretty good, not above average though. Half the restaurant has a sublime view of the river. Recommended reservations. Good value for the dollar.

Jacks bar never fails to impress. We heard they could arrange a river/klong cruise and with seconds we had a long boat to ourselves for 2 hours and a bag full of whiskey sodas 😀.... best 2500 baht ever spent.
