Took a beginners class of Muay Thai at this gym and enjoyed it so much I came back everyday. The instructors are very good at explaining the techniques and are very patient as well. They are also good at making sure you are perfecting your technique as they will go step by step with you. Definitely recommend this class for any people looking to try out Muay Thai trainings.

Best place ever! Stayed in the dorm at Monsoon for a couple of weeks and bought 12 classes at a time! So good and the vibe is great! The trainers are very professional and so much fun!! The gym (with air conditioner) is also included the first week when you buy your classes and there is a great ice bath as well!

I've trained in dozens of Muay Thai gyms across Thailand and all over the world; this gym is one of my favorites. I attended only the advanced classes.

The coaches are personable and you can see that they really connect with their students. On my first day of class, in the middle of the class, two students that had been training there came to say goodbye to the coaches, they hugged each one and seemed truly sad to be leaving. It was nice to see and I don't think it happens much at other gyms. I noticed they did correct technique a lot more than other gyms in Thailand. One of the coaches has very good English and he's also a great DJ :)

They have four classes per day, every single day of the week which I've never seen in Thailand. There are classes for beginners and for more advanced students. The equipment is high quality and in good condition. The weight room with AC and the ice bath is a huge bonus. The other gyms nearby are awful compared to Monsoon.

There's an all around good vibe, no big egos and nonsense. Don't hesitate to join whether you are a beginner or advanced.

Took 4 beginners classes during my stay on Tao. First two classes i was put in the group that focusses on learning the techniques - after that they tend to move you over to bags and 1-1 with coaches. These guys go tough on you when you get things wrong at the start, so be prepared to put in the sweat and tears - i struggle a bit with unlearning some of my boxing habits, but once i got there it was a lot of fun! Also really liked having option to use the gym (with AC) for the full day, even if some of the equipment could do with some upgrading.

Nice training facility, with skilled trainers. Took a private lesson. The trainers have special attention for techniques that require further development.

Really reasonably priced. Me and my boyfriend did a beginners Muay Thai class, we’ve been to a few other gyms in Thailand and this class taught the technique to the best level in our opinion. Would recommend!

This is by far the best place to train Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu in Koh Tao. Perhaps even in all of Thailand. Equipment is high quality and includes towels, gym and water. Prices are fair. Staff is kind. But most importantly, every single one of the trainers are motivated, very skilled and meets you with a smile. I can’t recommend this enough both for skilled fighters and people who never trained before.

Went there for a beginner session of Muay Thai during my stay at Koh Tao and would highly recommend. Definitely worth the 300bts. Start with warmup and learn the main techniques. Lasts for 1:30, no need to book in advance, just come 10min early, pay the fees and good to go. Be aware it’s outside so even if we are in the shadow it’s quite warm. Loved it!

Awesome gym. Muay Thai class are fun and include 1 on 1 time with trainers. They usually last about 90 min and include sparing if any of the students want to spar. Their JiuJitsu program is fantastic. The trainer there is great at explaining different techniques. There is also weight training gym here. Highly recommended if you want to work out while in Tao. They have drop in and monthly rates.

This place exceeded my expectations 1000%. I thought with koh tao being a small tourist island, this might be a bit of a revolving door deal with no one really committed to the training. What I found was a community of people excited about training, developing their skills, and supporting each other in self development. The instructors were also top knotch, and make you feel like part of a team. If you want to take it easy and try something new, the beginners classes are a fun introduction to a new martial art and a good workout. If you have experience and want a challenge, advanced classes will push you and make you better, or you can jump into fight camp and be part of the fight nights they put on. Darius and Luke are awesome, you can tell they are in this for the right reasons. Monsoon by itself is more than worth the boatride, throw in the beautiful island and its a no hrainer.

Did 4 sessions here as a first time beginner. The first couple sessions are super chill and they are accommodating for all ranges of fitness levels! after the first 2 sessions the intensity and level of technicality increased as does your own skill. There is no need to be nervous if it's your first time. Will be back the next time I'm in Koh Tao for sure!

Did Thai boxing private trainings with Depp, one of the best experiences for me. Enjoyed every training. Highly recommend this place, the stuff is friendly, facilities are in good condition. An ice bath after training just perfect for relaxing.

Great facilities, the gym area is cooled with ac, with a great set of fitness equipment for all needs.

The upstairs Jiu-Jitsu classes are great. Spacious, well ventilated and Luke is a great coach. Had a great time training in Koh Tao with them!!

Had three amazing private Muay Thai sessions with Kru Ja-Rut. He was a popular trainer in the gym I trained in before on another island. So it was a pleasant surprise to have him as a Kru at Monsoon.
I wanted to see if the lessons suited me, but after the first session, I actually booked another night on the Island so I could come back.

It was very good for me as he worked allot on defence, and although it was only three sessions, I know exactly what I want to keep working on. A very good trainer, I'd recommend you ask for him if you've been training for some time like I have. He's known for getting people fight ready.

Will definitely be back at Monsoon next time I'm in Koh Tao, good facilities too and free ice bath after training. Thank you 🙏

Would give more than 5 stars if I could. The guys here are all so nice and encouraging, really professional. The gym and ice baths are great and there are no mosquitoes which is a huge bonus for an outdoor gym on the island.

Just finished 4 weeks of training BJJ at 10th planet Koh Tao located at Monsoon Gym. What a phenomenal experience experience!! Luke the head coach is the man, he’s very knowledgeable and able to convey information well while making the training sessions beneficial and fun. Having access to the weights room and ice bath is also amazing. Thanks heaps for experience, will definitely be returning for further training in the future :)
