This is my favourite trail with easy access from the parking lot; only around 20 mins walk to reach the tower. The watching tower was built in 1969 and got renovated recently. Beautiful tress and great view. At the tower, we saw a kingfisher bird, water monitor, and one elephant. Too bad, we didn't have binoculars so the elephant looked so small. Should bring binoculars if you planned to come to this park.

Another highlight at the Khao Yai National Park is the walk to this watchtower. A 1 kilometres walk leads you through the most beautiful nature. At the watchtower you could be lucky to discover elephants, wild pigs, Toucans.. fantastic experience

It's located just 900 meters away from the main road which takes about 20 minutes to get there by a walking path through a wonderful meadow where the sound of birds and the wind blows along the way. The watching tower by itself is not much interesting for those of travelers who just want to visit, take pictures and go because the wildlife isn't always easy to spot unless you're at the right time and have some observing equipment in hand.

A good place to visit during the trip to Kaoyai. We saw lots of hornbills at far distance.

Nong Phak Chi watchtower looks very sturdy and safe. Visitors may enter the tower for free and relax upstairs whilst seeking for wild animals in the distance.

The man made salt can also be seen from from the watch tower. Unfortunately we weren't lucky to see any animals there during our visit.

Nonetheless, the tower was worth a claim for the shade and breeze it offers after completing the trail.

A very nice & huge national park in Khao Yai. The place is a favorite among trekkers, nature lovers, cyclists & bikers. If fancy doing a walk in trails, the park offers guide service. And the trails are clearly marked. Many wildlife in the national park to see. They also have a museum in the visitor center as well as a souvenir shop & cafe. Going late in the year is perfect timing because the weather is colder. Khao Yai is around 2-3 hours away from Bangkok, perfect for a weekend getaway. To enter the national park, tickets need to be bought in the entrance (40฿ for citizens & 400฿ for foreigners)

We come here often for a nature walkabout. A good short walk but enjoy the beautiful tranquil scenery and sometimes you just stop walking and listen to the songs of the gibbons in the forest.

This place be located in Khao Yai National Park under UNESCO world heritage. It is appropriate to natural traveling to see wild life especially hornbill (if you are lucky) and vegetation but need staff for guiding.

Within Khao Yao National Park, need to track about 15-20 mins from entrance. The walk there can be soggy & muddy as it's not deck with broadwalk. Best to be there when the animals are out for their feed at sunrise or sunset.

Recommended to go after 5pm because the walking path is quite expose to the sun with a little area of three shades. My 3 years old daughter could easily walk return trip to the tower.

Nice small walk to the tower, in the morning and late afternoon you can even be so lucky to see wild elephants or buffalo’s. Beautiful Khao Yai!

Lovely place with good view in all directions. We came early and saw a lot of birds, including Hornbills along the way, and otters fishing in the pond.

This can walk from two ways
1. Start from the 33rd km walks through dry evergreen and meadow which you have occasion to meet some wildlives.
2. Drive to this place directly and walk for about 1-2 km

The tower gives you a good overview of the area. The way is to the tower is easy to go when you are good by foot. If not don't go there.

I love to visit Khao Yay national park. Right now there are a lot of animals to see because of the lack of people.
