Krua Khao Yai Restaurant

Was craving for local dishes and this came up on the recommendation list. Lotsa locals with us being the only foreigners (good sign).

Food was not the typical fare u get - must try the fluffy omelette with salted fish( suspect there’s salted yolk too) and their aromatic fresh coconut juice! Great for the sweltering heat!

Came in for a light lunch. The smoked duck with basil leaves is very good. It's too spicy for young kids though.

The broccoli with prawns is so-so.

Ice Thai milk tea is very fragrant, not too sweet, and also recommended.

The food is excellent and came out fast. The restaurant was crowded but the service was fast and good. It's a low key authentic Thai food.

The food here is super wholesome, sunflower sprout and wild mushrooms are must order, if you like meat, the smoked pork is super delicious too. Smoky tender grilled pork. Some of the staff are believed to be family members as they are teenagers in school uniform, the service they provide is genuine and place gets busy during meal time despite been such a big space, the place is filled on a weekday dinner time.

Very popular among the Thai’s, so came here to try. Indeed the food is nice. Will come back again

Been for customer here more than 10 yrs. Recently, their operation is much better than the past and the resraurant is much cleaner while they still can maintain foods taste at good level.

Pork steak is the food that everyone should try and also a mushroom dish. Pad ped bouncy pork is good; I like the sauce, but the bouncy pork is ok

Good place to come for dinner. Before i go on. Prepare mosquito repellent, the mosquitos are huge! The smoked pork rib is definitely good. Tom yum soup has more vegetable than soup itself... mixed mushroom is good . Love the hot home lemon.

Nice thai food - mushrooms, scrambled egg, green curry, sunflower seedlings and somtum. Cafe next door in charge of drinks is good with honey lemon and thai milk tea (must try)

Reasonable price for gd food and fast service...Aunty selling coconut jelly was super friendly and she speaks teochew...

Cozy restaurant with sizable dishes. One of the ladies could speak Teochew. Enjoyed my meal there.

Always served good food.. Always visit this joint when visiting khaoyai.. This visit in Jan 2022, went twice for dinner during the course of 5-day visit to khaoyai. It's a must apart from tons of new cafe joints allover this area.

It's the best restaurant in Thailand. Especially, fish dishes are very delicious. I liked the kind service.
The price is low and I recommend it.

Big Thai restaurant nearby Khao Yai National park. Foods is good. There is a shop to buy some souvenir.
