Visited this waterfall in the national park on 13/12/23. Entrance fee is 400 baht per person + 30 baht per vehicle. A quick 20-min drive from the entrance. Lots of parking, food stalls, and toilets. Followed the 200m sign, took a short walk, down 100 steps, and voila—a stunning waterfall! Guards keep watch, no swimming, but they're cool with climbing rocks for photos. Totally worth a visit! 👍

Went in November 2023 and it was nice. Not too many people but since it was the 'cool' season and on a Sunday, it was not empty either. We had to walk 200 meters down the slope and stairs then flat but rocky rocks to get right to the waterfall.
Foreigners need to pay 400 Baht to enter Khao Yai National Park. No pets allowed.

It's difficult to imagine that is startlingly beautiful National Park is only 2 1/2 hours from Bangkok. It's well worth the entrance fee for foreigners of 400thb and there are even campgrounds if you want. If you go about 15 minutes outside the park there's more than enough hotels to satisfy every budget. Haew Suwat waterfall has a well equiped parking area so you can grab a snack going in or coming out. Please be sure to pack out and trash as to not spoil this marvelous nature area.

This is a beautiful small double waterfall. It is located inside Khao Yai National Park. There is so much to see. They have bungalows , and tents for rent. You can bring your own tent and camp for free after paying the entrance fee. We drove to several locations for the views and the waterfall here is one of the highlights.

Haew Suwat Waterfall is a stunning sight and a great place to visit whenever you come to Khao Yai National Park. The trail to the waterfall is short and easy, making it accessible for most visitors. There's a viewpoint at the top for a bird's eye perspective, and a path down to the base so you can stand close to where the water thunders down. Just a word of caution – the water level and flow are strongest in the rainy season, so be mindful if swimming is on your agenda. Also, there's a steep ladder that requires extra care, and the rocks near the water can be very slippery.

Nice waterfall located in Khao Yai National Park. It's easily accessible by car as it's near the main road.
There's a big parking lot available, so plenty of space to park.
Walking to the waterfall takes a bit of effort as the stairs could get pretty steep. However, it's worth it, because the waterfall is really beautiful. Only not recommended for people who have leg problems etc. But they can still enjoy some of the other nature that's around!

Haew Su Wat Waterfall

The waterfall scene in the movie "The Beach," where DiCaprio and others jump from a high cliff to the water below, was filmed here at the Khao Yai National Park.

No additional entry fees and free parking. Toilets are available in the open carpark.

A beautiful waterfall that is easily accessible as it is close to the parking lot about 200 m away.

The waterfall is surrounded with many large rocks perfect for photo taking. The area itself is also perfectly clean with absolutely no garbage around.

Please be warned though that visiting this particular waterfall requires climbing up and down a very steep staircase. It may be too difficult for those who have physical difficulties.

What a beautiful place to visit! If you can't make it down the stairs, there is a viewing area at the top that you can see the waterfall from. It was totally worth it to make it down there though and I highly recommend! If you're able to climb across the rocks at the bottom you can get pretty close to the waterfall too.

**Review October 2023** - it is the peak of rainy season in Thailand, so the water flow is VERY strong and there is A LOT of water. Do not get too close. This is not a waterfall for swimming, but more for looking at and taking photos. Since you can't do anything else, you'll get bored within 5 minutes of looking at it. However, it's worth a visit since it's the biggest and most popular waterfall in Khao Yai national park.

Beautiful waterfalls that should be experienced by anyone visiting the national park. While less spectacular than the much larger falls at Narok, the falls at Haew Su Wat allow visitors to go right up to the falls and explore the caves behind them. Visiting the falls requires a short walk over a well maintained path that is easy for most visitors to access, though does involve some steep stairs. Getting right up to the falls and exploring the caves behind them does require a short but more adventurous walk over boulders and through tougher terrain. However this was manageable for my 4 and 7 year old children in sneakers, so shouldn't be a problem for most visitors.

A bit of luck and timing is everything. We were fortunate to see the gush of water after the previous night's rain. Nice water fall to visit. No swimming allowed as there have been serious injuries in the past.

Small hike down to the waterfall, but you can see it from the top entrance.

Long walk about 1km each way, 287 steps that are very step at end of walk in and a long walk out .
Path was well maintained, though.
Nice waterfall

The waterfall at the end of the road to Khao Yai. The water mass dropped off the cliff with fine mist on the spot create some rainbow in the evening. After a few hundred steps down, you can overwhelm with strength and mass of water. You can walk to the side to get close to this cascade. We find birds and animals there. Beautiful place to explore.
