SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort

Beautiful location, fabulous luxury all villa destination. Management is very approachable and sorted initial issues promptly and without fuss going to great lengths to ensure our stay was memorable. Anthony (manager) was hands on and his team particularly Maxi and Annie were so attentive and helpful. Cannot fault the service and team.

If you're planning a stay in phuket, look no further. Don't hesitate at the price you will receive your money's worth!

From the pick up at the airport were we had kool wrags and water waiting inside the suv. The driver was at the gate and did a wonderful to collect us at the baggage claim. The drive was short, maybe 20 mins. The drive into the resort was beautiful, and the driver did a great job of explaining the area and the offerings.

Checking was good. I entered my credit card to pay for the room before I left the states, and the card only held the room, so it slowed down the check on process.

Staff transported our luggage to our room during check-in, so it was very nice not to fiddle with it once completing check-in.

We moved right into spa services for two hours. The join massage with my partner was wonderful. We both really enjoyed the tibetan singing bowls so much we bought one before we left Thailand.

The restaurant was our only negative experience. The two nights we went down to eat, we felt judged by a couple of the staff and received service that was far Below the rest of the experience. So we skipped dinner at the resort our third night, but we did opt for a specialty dinner for our last night. This turned out to be one of our best experiences in Thailand. Chef Tony met us at breakfast and spoke with us. You could tell the information of our treatment had been passed along, and he was not ok with it. After conversing for an hour, we learned how chef had come to the resort from the UK. How he has been in this location for 17 years and really takes pride in the service and quality you receive from your experience during the stay. The dinner chef prepared for us was of michelin star quality. I could not have asked for a better experience. " worth every penny! "

The arancini balls probably the best we've had anywhere in the world. The breakfast offering was diverse and a great way to start the day next to the ocean with a tia tea oat meal.

Don't miss the fire dancers on Sunday was a really great show. We are Sala brand for sure. The quality matches the price. Family friendly without overly bearing with kids. We we return we intend to bring our 5 year old back with us.

Amazing from start to finish. Was here on our honeymoon and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had the floating breakfast, 100 candle dinner and I also had a massage in the spa and everything was 10/10!

Spent a week in SALA Phuket winding down from a Vietnam tour. The hotel (location, facilities, staff, food...) was absolutely top-notch, and the private pool villas are a great change from the more standard rooms found elsewhere.

Thoroughly and totally recommended !

Overall experience is excellence, but still have some room for improvement.

1. Using the app to request for service is good, but suggest assign a destination person to look after the chat. It takes 2 hours for service team to notice my request on Sunday night, and also 1 hours at Sunday afternoon.

I did try to use the in room phone to call the service team instead, but the phone at front desk can never reach. It still fine if it is just for normal service, but what if guest experienced emergency situation? We can find nobody for help!!! It is a safety issue the hotel manager should take into account.

It will be great if hotel manager can further contact me for this issue.

Just wonderful - I didn’t want to leave. We stayed 4 nights to attend a wedding at the venue.

One downside is the number of mosquitoes in our pool villa. The hotel do try their hardest to keep them out but I was still covered in bites by the time we left.

What a beautiful place. A couples retreat. With our private Villa and amazing staff we couldn’t have asked for more ( a little more sun maybe - but that’s didn’t spoil our stay)
Rooms are clean comfortable & private. The beach pool was gorgeous and the sun beds were so comfortable you didn’t want to get up. Attention to detail was excellent. What we loved most was the superb service from the Staff - a Chef who comes out of the kitchen & talks to the customers for us was a real plus - such a lovely man who is clearly passionate about his food, staff and service 5⭐ All staff were great - friendly and always happy to help

Really enjoyed my stay here in May.

There villas are really nice and big at a very high standard. The bed is extremely comfortable and the pool is a very nice size.

The toilet and shower are outside (but covered). It's great during the day but at night time, it can be a bit rough especially with the insects that can creep in.

The villa has a really nice sized tub, perfect for a nice soak!

We really enjoyed our private pool. It is not very deep and is a good length. It was a bit dirty when we got there but staff do come to help clean it.

The breakfast is really nice with plenty of options. There is not many restaurants nearby so you have to eat at the restaurant. We did go to the local restaurant for dinner but options are limited. It is a bit of walk also but you can ask for bikes from the reception.

All in all, really enjoyed the stay here.

Very nice resort!! Everyone loved their villas. The service was great, they straighten up for you about 2 or 3 times a day and leave you a new tea to taste daily. The staff was really nice and made sure you had everything that you needed.

This is the one, the one for vacation, relaxation, service, ambience and hospitality. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Very stylish hotel, welcoming staff. The hotel provided everything we needed during our stay in this wonderful place and beloved country.

The staff were fantastic at every interaction. We had one dinner where the steaks were over cooked and they were happy to correct this right away and ensure we didn’t wait too long.

The setup of the resort is great as you can divide your time between enjoying your private pool outside your room and the two pools down by the beach. While more expensive than other places, this is really great value and you certainly get more for your money here than some of the bigger name hotels nearby.

I’ve also never been given four different options of pillow firmness or body lotion scent, which was a great touch and feel like more hotels should do!

I stayed at the Sala for 12 nights in November. This is the 3rd time I have stayed here. Its by far my favourite hotel for the following reasons:
- the staff are very attentive and helpful. I dont know everyones name, but Bee at breakfast, Mon the Duty Manager, Beer who gave the Sala Farm Tour, Tony the exec chef and all the bar and restaurant staff were very welcoming
- nature everywhere, surrounded by beautiful trees - truely lovely
- 2 beautiful pools, with little smoothies brought round during the day
- the hotel do free activities such as walks round the local lake, Monday night outdoor cinema with pop corn and icream, Sala farm tour so you can meet David the goat and his ladies, chickens (the fresh eggs are used at breakfast) and various plants to try - a very interesting tour, fire display on sundays, plus live music and thai dancing on other days
- great buffet breakfast and a la carte option (which is brought to your table)
- Thai health drink left in the room at turn down each evening along with an explanation of the health benefits

The Sala work very hard to provide a homely atmosphere and a relaxing stay - mission accomplished!

II'm excited to share the incredible experience our vegan group from World Vegan Travel had during our 4-night stay at Sala Phuket. Neung, the events coordinator, and Tony, the head chef, played pivotal roles in ensuring our time there was absolutely unforgettable.

Neung, our go-to person for events, was phenomenal. She flawlessly handled our myriad special requests, from booking spa appointments for our vegan group to orchestrating stunning setups and locations for our meals and pre-dinner drinks. The pool party in the presidential villa was a definite highlight, and Neung's attention to detail and dedication ensured it was a seamless and enjoyable event for all.

A special shoutout to Tony, the head chef, for collaborating with me to create an extraordinary vegan culinary experience. From four amazing vegan breakfasts to the vegan pool party and three vegan dinners, each meal was a unique masterpiece in terms of cuisine, setup, and location. Tony and the team really went above and beyond to provide a diverse and memorable vegan dining experience for our group.

Our travelers loved every aspect of Sala Phuket, especially the beautiful rooms with private pools, the stunning beach, the open and airy atmosphere, and the impeccable vegan service. The attention to detail in every facet of our stay, from the rooms to the vegan dining experiences, truly made Sala Phuket stand out.

Amazing experience with personalized service the moment you checkin. They also provide basic necessities and more in the room. Like mosquito repellant spray, beach bag, beach mat etc. Spent my birthday at the hotel and they gave me a birthday cake with my floating breakfast order which is really sweet. Plus all of the staff are really really nice and accommodating. The hotel is very exclusive and private perfect place to chill and relax away from the busy life of Phuket. As it is quite far from the center of Phuket but there are mini-malls and restaurants nearby. Rooms are super clean even with the alfresco shower and toilet. Breakfast in the room was amazing but even better at the buffet breakfast restaurant by the pool area. Hotel is also beachfront so guests have the option to go by the beach on top of having their own personal pool inside the villas and another guest access huge pool by the beach. Overall experience was beyond expectation would definitely come back next time.

The entrance is quite deep. And there are tsunami warning signs along the way. There was a sign pointing the way to the bunker which made me feel worried. But overall, it's very good. The natural atmosphere has rubber trees. It looks comfortable to the eye.

We greatly enjoyed our experience once again at Sala Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort. From the front desk staff, breakfast staff including the chef to the housekeeping; everything combined to make our trip truly memorable. The facilities and amenities are and have always been top level. We look forward to our future stay.

This has to be the most stunning hotel I have ever stayed at. Beautiful private villas with pools. Not overlooked at all. Food superb, staff very helpful and rich on the beach. Needs to be on everyone's bucket list!

A fantastic getaway if you don't intend to stray out to the city. Close to the beach, chic surroundings, fantastic service, great food & drinks, priced perfectly for the quality delivered. One minor complaint to do with the outdoor bathroom's setup and the room being too dark. Otherwise had a great time here.

The whole experience was genuinely magical, from start to finish. Naturally, the hotel setting is beautiful, but it was the staff who really made it a memorable stay - you can tell when people truly care about their job and their guests' experience and this was more than evident with everyone we encountered during our stay - the entire staff really are a credit to themselves and the hotel overall. We are already planning a return trip! :-)

Had the most amazing stay here at Sala! It was really the highlight of my trip in Thailand. The private pool was the best bit and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was delicious, so many options and really good quality. We also dined here for dinner and options were plentiful. I'm vegetarian as well and did not have any issues with choices. We also did a body scrub and massage and that was pure bliss. Literally everything was amazing.
