Prayai Changthai Elephant Camp

An undeniable attraction in this place is a young elephant called Andaman. He is very kissable. He gives visitors a sweet kiss using his long nose—a great attraction for families with children. All elephants (big and small) have excellent conditions and are well cared for. I recommend visiting this place. I visited Prayai Changthai Elephant Camp in January 2024.

The elephants here look healthy, well kept and trained (not sure if they are all there mentally). They were a little mischievous when the wanted to stroll off the path, sprayed water at us, and one closed it's month on my hand (I really had to yank it out).

But such a great experience of elephant trekking and bathing. Really got up close with such amazing animal. The keeper took lots of photos for us with our phones, did not need to pay extra. The bathing in the river was reassuring of clean water.

I never rode the elephant, I only fed her and she was in a pen that was close to the road, she never had a chain on her either.

Beautiful elephants, and well take care of. I didn’t buy a ticket for any activities with the animals, but got to take pictures and get up close for free.

You can feed them for a small fee, and the employees there were very kind. Spoke English very well.

We had little time here but enjoyed feeding baby elephant some bananas , you have to buy it for 100 THB and then get that feeding time with elephant ,get some pictures too

Go on weekdays, no need to wait. Price depends on duration.

We have been visiting the big budda since it was first being built. We were glad to see it nearly finished definitely worth the experience.

You can visit this place when ur on the way down from Phuket Big Buddha. We did a stop and purchase a small snack for the young elephant for just 100baht, u can feed, have a photo opportunity and get a kiss from the young elephant. Do support them so these beautiful land mammals can always have a good environment to live in.

I can choose either the elephant trekking or the ATV. In any case it's either 15' or 30'. Each elephant has a double seat on top and one trainer (driver) who drivew u through the road. At one point he steps down and let's u seat on the elephant' s back

Decent little place, around 1000 baht for tourists which is pretty standard. The handlers are great for taking pictures and everything while your there. Super friendly overall
