Boathouse Restaurant

I had a delightful meal at the Boathouse Restaurant in Phuket. Its beachside location offers a great view. Highlights were the refreshing mango and banana shakes, and the delicious vegetarian spring rolls and cauliflower steak. The service was excellent, with attentive, English-speaking staff. While not cheap, at least 1200 baht per person, the experience and quality make it worth it for a special occasion. Highly recommended for its splendid beach view and quality cuisine.

Upscale casual dining, beach side with gorgeous decor and even better views! Friendly staff, delicious elevated Thai food and some western options as well. I had the pomelo salad which was refreshing on a hot day and packed with complex flavors. The baby squid was perfectly lightly breaded. They have great free flow wine specials at certain times!

Great restaurant right on the beach. Food was of a high standard as were the cocktails. We had the beef cheek green curry and the lamb shank massaman curry. Both were amazing. Finished with the mango sticky rice which was also yum

Such a wonderful location. Overlooking the beautiful Kata Beach. The choice and service were faultless and GF choices clearly shown on menu.

As a regular customer of the Boathouse restaurant I am always impressed with the service and food prepared by Chef Jonathan and his team. Yesterday I held a birthday lunch for 16 people and the whole experience exceeded my already high expectations. The food and table decoration were amazing. I heartily recommend the Boathouse restaurant for an intimate lunch, dinner or a special occasion!

A beautiful restaurant, with a direct view on the beach. Excellent cocktails and mocktails, and very nice staff.

Delicious Thai food, perfect view and the staffs were great! We are Thai food expert and looking for a restaurant in Kata that offers real Thai food. We found this place by walking around the menu was interesting so we decided to stop by. Staffs were helpful and very attentive, quite busy at dinner time but staffs were smiling and food served real fast. Buree and Mai were the one who looked after us and we got the best time while dine there. We were so impressed and spoke to Mr.Samphan; restaurant manager who were in charge and he was really kind and service minded. He was making sure that we were happy. We left the place with best dining experince.

Greetings to the Chef! All the food we tried was delicious and the presentation was close to perfect. The desserts were absolute perfection! The best mango sticky rice I’ve ever eaten. I we have tried more than 20 in this trip only 😇🤩

Baby squids and beetroot salmon were also very good and this gives the best picture of the freshness of the ingredients.

Very nice service and great beach view completes the experience.

Worth the money spent.

Delicious food with beautiful views of the sea. Little bit more expensive than some other restaurants around but totally worth it.

The view speaks for it self and the food does not disappoint either. Though slightly pricey, the food is of great quality. Would recommend the snapper, seabass and lamb shank (from Asian Favourites). The cocktails are also well concocted, and the chocolate fondant is captivating. Came here twice during our short trip in Phuket!

Very pleasant evening with their good service.. Selection of wines surprised us, as it is hard to come by in phuket.. even can come just for their wines and good setting. Also dont miss the free cocktails for just a simple registry, lychee martini was quite good..

Absolutely brilliant. We were staying elsewhere and disillusioned with its restaurant offering so came here for breakfast. From start to finish it was perfect. Very nice food, amazing atmosphere and impressive service. A great impression and we’d consider staying at this hotel next time as a result!

Best location on the beach - try and go before sunset if you can. Food is immaculate and service is fabulous, as well as a better selection of decent wine than you will get elsewhere in Kata. It is more expensive than the main road drag of tourist restaurants, but worth the little extra for the food quality, service, location and general ambience.

Outstanding experience. We were a group of 10 and we all enjoyed. Service very friendly and welcoming. Lovely beach view before sunset. Nice menu with Asian and Western options. Plentiful wine options too.

I have been fortunate to have discovered The Boathouse Hotel on Kata beach a small boutique hotel with the wow factor.
The hotel itself is located directly on the beautiful Kata beach.
Whilst the hotel has all the bells and whistles with superb staff it is the restaurant that makes this a must visit. The restaurant provides an extensive selection of delicious extremely well prepared dishes both Thai and western food.
During my stay early on I met the executive chef Jonathan Bruell who was introducing himself to various guest at breakfast time. He was extremely friendly and inquired was there any issues and was there anything special I required. As it was I was celebrating one of life’s events a few days later with a number of friends.
We agreed to meet the following day when we discussed a special menu for the event.
On the day an area had been set aside for my group of ten where we were served a wonderful selection of pre dinner canapés with our cocktails. Following this we enjoyed the most wonderful food cooked to perfection. We started with omelettes Arnold Bennett, a fabulous dish of fluffy eggs smoked haddock and cheese , followed by consume, then fillets of lamb served with a massaman risotto. A deconstructed Eaton mess followed then cheese.
It is a very honest comment that the food was better than a number of Michelin starred restaurants I have eaten in, and I suspect that were the chef in Bangkok or another major city he would have his own star.
Also one evening Jonathan as an evening special produced wagu steak pies. These individual pies were just pure heaven, and a dish to look out for if a visit to the Boathouse is on your agenda.

Lunch or Dinner here is simply awesome.
Been here several times now and never had a bad meal.
All dishes are very creative and tasty, combination of flavors and presentation is superb. You can taste the Chef here is very passionate about his job.
Prices are reasonable, we had the free flow alcohol package.

The Boathouse Restaurant and Chef Jonathan Bruell and his team are always on hand to give you a superb gastronomic experience.
On this occasion, I went with an old friend from the U.K. who was visiting Phuket. He reminded me that he has a gluten intolerance and although he would like to go for lunch he was a little hesitant.
I informed the Chef in advance and we were treated to some amazing food with everything gluten free down to the finest detail. What a wonderful selection of dishes all beautifully prepared and served. Thank you to the Boathouse and of course to Chef Jonathan.
