Chillax Khaosok Hostel

Really good hostel with especially very good service! I lost my toiletries bag, and the people that worked there went out of their way to find it and send it to me! They didn’t even charge me the costs! The night safari tour was great value for the price and it was really easy to book the overnight bungalow tour here! Highly recommend.

A mid range hostel with an excellent location and extremely helpful staff. We booked the overnight Khao Sok National Park tour and it was perfect. The tour itself was eye opening as we witnessed wild elephants, lizards, monkeys and Toucans. Our tour guide was very fun and very knowledgeable of the area. The accommodation on the lake is simple with one bed and a fan but it adds to the experience. A must visit to anyone on holiday or travelling Thailand. In addition the hostel organised our luggage to be taken by bus to us to then be taken to our next location all went smoothly.

We stayed two nights here with an overnight stay at the floating bungalows inbetween. Great communication beforehand via WhatsApp in order to book ourselves onto the overnight tour. After arriving at the hotel and checking in we were then given another explanation of the tour, what to expect and timings for the following day, whilst we were also allowed to settle in and relax before returning to the front desk to pay later for the tour. The dorm room was decent for a couple nights stay, only slight critique I’d say is there isn’t too much space for everyone’s bags / things when the room is full, but it was manageable. The tour itself was great and very well organised by both the hostel front desk staff and our tour guide who we met at the national park, Whiskey / Maram. Again, we always knew what was happening and what the plan was. Our room at the raft house was sound for the night and actually better than we expected! Food was decent and we enjoyed the jungle hike, safaris and the general down time swimming in the lake. Once back at the hostel we were able to change our transfer very easily, thanks to Mooky on reception as we decided to change our plans. The transfer was again well organised and smooth. Overall a decent 2 night stay and great tour to the national park :)

The staffs at Chillax are very professional, kind, and make you feel like home. The hostel is very clean and quiet, AC working well, not too much socialize which was great as it is call ‘Chillax’. The experience at the lake was a hit. The food was delicious, the kayaks in front of the cottages are free of charge, the room is a specious with a wonderful view. On the way back they arrange the transfer to Phuket for us and it went great! Definitely recommend it to everyone.

Loved my stayed here. Really great hostel, very clean and staffs are super helpful and friendly. Every beds have curtain, light, plug and the bed is so comfy. I did the overnight lake tour with them and it was brilliant!!!! Would love to recommend staying here.

The rooms were clean and the location was close to the park. I’m writing a review though because of the incredible service. The manager of the hostel speaks great English and was so helpful. My bike broke down on the way, and she helped me find a mechanic. When it became obvious that they were overcharging me, her boyfriend just fixed it himself. Truly went above and beyond and really saved my trip.

We spent 1 night at Chillax Hostel and did 2-days 1-night tour with them. The hostel was super clean and modern. Would absolutely stay here again! The tour was also incredible, super scenic, and very knowledgeable guide.

I did not stay at the hostel. I contacted them because I wanted to do the 2D1N tour to the lake with the cave. I arrived from Koh Tao with the night ferry and van scheduled for arrival at 8.30 am. Mooky was so very helpful and told be to just tell her at 7.30 am how far along we are so I could join the tour on the same day. She also organized my transport to Krabi afterwards. Even though she told me I wouldn't be able to go to Banana Bungalows (30 km outside Krabi) I asked the minivan driver and they brought me there. Mookys english is perfect.

In the end, my ferry+Van from Koh Tao were right on time, and I got time to pack a day pack at the hostel and leave my big bad. The organization of the tour was great. They asked me if I wanted to change to the Coral Cave tour as the Nam Talu Cave had 50 people while the other only had 20 and was a lot more chilled. Andy, our tour guide, was quite strict on timeliness (1 minute late and they leave without you), but apart from that, he was extremely funny and we had a great time. The lake huts were simple but lovely. They each had a fan, and I shared a hut with another girl. The food was really good and there was plenty provided. We were very lucky and got to see elephants on the evening safari. It all felt a bit rushed, so maybe it's worth staying 3 days and 2 nights (unless you are prone to get seasick).

Definitely book through Chillax Hostel :) heard from other travellers it is also a comfortable place to stay a night (although not much to do in the town). But if you are tight on time, they seem to be able to work it out as well :)

This hostel was so lovely, I really liked it here, the beds were comfy and duvets on the beds too with aircon. The lady who runs this place is really doing a lot everyday and you can see she works very hard and was always speaking to me with kindness still and never seemed rushed. The tour was amazing and we were very well looked after and this was well organised. We were even lucky enough to see the elephants! Thankyou Chillax!

(Book ahead) Khao Sok National park was the most beautiful and pristine place I’ve been to. But Chillax really managed to make it better with their floating house coral cave tour. The view from our room was amazing, we got a king bed, a kayak, super good Thai food, and we saw wild elephants on our evening safari. Whiskey (Marum) was an amazing tour guide and everyone else on the tour was so wholesome. We skipped the morning safari to go kayaking by ourselves in the reservoir and it was worth every breath.

The rooms are okay for the price you pay and the location is perfect. They also offer a lot of activities at really good prices. The service is the most enjoyable, they are so friendly! They sorted out all transportation for us after or stay and I hurt my toe the day before and even though it is not her job the woman at the reception helped me perfectly with everything they had in their first aid kit. Would recommend!

The staff at the hostel are amazing ! The main lady in reception ( I forget her name ) is so helpful and kind. They make you feel really welcome and the trip to koh sok is organised brilliantly - definitely worth booking through them.

We had a very nice stay here before and after our trip to the national park. It is very clean and well looked after, nice facilities & Mai on reception goes above and beyond to help, a lovely, kind woman - thank you to her.

Great service, responding on messages quickly. Only 5-minutes by foot to a village area. Overall this is my best experience in Thailand so far.

Oh my goodness golly! The beds are so amazing! Most comfy bed I’ve had in weeks! Slept like a baby! The staff is lovely and helpful too!

Did the 2D1N lake trip with them, the Coral Cave. It was really middle of Nature so don’t expect anything too fancy. Well organized!

Its a perfect hostel for visiting the Khao sok nationalpark. Rooms are clean and in good conditions. The reception was so kind. She took care of all needs and I could organise my way back to Bangkok with her. Can totally recommend this place!
