King Rama V Rock and Statue

The King Rama V Rock and Statue is a beautiful memorial and a must-visit spot when you’re on Koh Tao. Located near the Koh Tao Divers centre, it is easily accessible and offers a serene environment to all visitors.

One of the best things about this place is the view. You can see the entire Sairee Beach and enjoy the beautiful sunsets from here. The water is crystal clear, and the sound of the waves is very soothing. The place is perfect for relaxing and meditating.

พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 5 เสด็จประพาสเกาะเต่า พระองค์ทรงจารึกพระปรมาภิไธยย่อไว้บนหินที่ แหลม จ.ป.ร. ทางใต้สุดของหาดทรายรี เมื่อครั้นเสด็จประพาสคราว ร.ศ. 118 (พ.ศ. 2442) ถึงเกาะเต่าในวันที่ 18 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2442 เสด็จโดยเรือพระที่นั่งมหาจักรี โดยเริ่มเสด็จจากวัดราชาธิวาส - สมุทรปราการ - ป้อมผีเสื้อสมุทร - เกาะสีชัง - ศรีมหาราช - เกาะสีชัง - เกาะคราม เมืองกำเนิดนพคุณ - ปากน้ำเมืองชุมพร - เกาะพะงัน - เกาะเต่า - เกาะลังกาจิ๋ว - เที่ยวกลับจาก สามร้อยยอด - เกาะสีชัง - ปากน้ำ - ท่าราชวรดิฐ

ปัจจุบันหินสลักและพระบรมรูปรัชกาลที่ 5 เป็นสถานที่สิ่งสักการะของคนเกาะเต่าและนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทย ถัดไปใกล้ๆกันก็ยังมีหินสลักของสมเด็จย่า สมเด็จพระศรีนครินทราบรมราชชนนี และสมเด็จพระเจ้าพี่นางเธอ เจ้าฟ้ากัลยาณิวัฒนา กรมหลวงนราธิวาส ราชนครินทร์ด้วย

มาเที่ยวเกาะเต่า สวนหินจปร. ก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งสถานที่ที่แนะนำให้มา มีแนวหินแกรนิตขนาดใหญ่โผล่พ้นหาดทราย ทอดยาวไปตามแนวชายหาด มีพระปรมาภิไธยย่อจปร สลักอยู่บนหินแกรนิต มีพระบรมรูปพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้า อยู่ณ สถานที่นี้ ชายหาดสวยน้ำใส บนฝั่งสังเกตุดีๆจะมีจุดให้บริการน้ำส้มสายชูไว้แก้พิษแมงกะพรุน
