Amazing view of the river, and if you eat dinner early you may get an amazing sunset. They also altered their vegetarian into an amazing vegan Pad Thai, and the mango sticky rice was also the best. Dancers also came out and they were very interesting to watch. Service was very friendly.

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of celebrating my beloved aunt's birthday at the Salathip Restaurant, located in the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok. We lovingly call her Ah Mai, and it was an unforgettable experience.

The evening began with a breathtaking sunset view, embracing us with the beauty of the Chao Phraya River, setting the stage for a perfect celebration. The scenic beauty of the riverfront added to the overall charm of the evening. We couldn't resist taking numerous pictures of the mesmerizing sunset over the Chao Phraya River before diving into our sumptuous dinner.

The culinary experience at Salathip Restaurant was a true masterpiece. Each dish was not only delicious but also elegantly presented. It was a visual and gastronomic delight that left us thoroughly impressed.

The service was impeccable, with a friendly and attentive staff that made our dining experience exceptional. Our server, Aom, was amazing, and she, together with her team (Pree, Pukkie), ensured that every need was met with a smile. We felt genuinely cared for throughout the evening. Manager Wattana's presence added to the overall professionalism and warmth of the staff.

One highlight of the evening was the enchanting short Thai dancer performance, which added an authentic touch to our visit. It was a beautiful showcase of Thailand's rich cultural heritage and added to the overall charm of the evening.

To make the evening even more special, the restaurant surprised Ah Mai with a complimentary mango glutinous dessert. The presentation was a work of art and provided the perfect sweet ending to our celebration.

In summary, our visit to Salathip Restaurant was extraordinary. We left with our hearts full of gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding service, delicious food, and memorable experience. Very nice located Restaurant with delicious Thai food by the River. Reservations are required if you're Not staying at shangri la Hotel. Would definitely come again even if it is pricey.

Booked same day for a dinner reservation on a Sunday, wasn’t full so you could probably walk-in.

We had a Singapore Sling each which was nice enough, maybe a bit too much soda water for our taste.

In terms of food, we had the stuffed prawns and satay skewers as starters. For mains we shared a red curry with duck and fruit, and some garlicy morning glory (similar to spinach). Finished with coconut ice cream (thai style). All was great and the service was outstanding.

Beautiful restaurant with a river view. Had Valentine's set dinner. All tastes very nice. Staff are attentive and very friendly. Located inside Shangri la hotel. You need to catch a taxi. Good place to have a romantic dinner. Reference price 3500 baht per head.

This restaurant has perfect seat on watching the fire work show nearby the river. After the show the dust generated by the fire work spread on our meal because of the wind, the manager replaced our meal with a new one👍. The meal is great and service is good, although it is a little bit pricy but worthy. Really enjoyed the night.

Had a wonderful dining experience here at my last night in this city. We were seated outside, the view is so amazing, also the food and the service.

Delicious food by the river! The papaya salad is great and you should try the beef salad which is very tasteful as well. I had the pad thai and also fish curry which were very nice!

Awesome food, dance performances very entertaining. Recommend the satay appetizer, curry lamb and pad Thai.

Diner here was lovely, the service was nice so was the View of Chao Praya River. The waiter asked if we would like the food to be prepared with thai taste or more for foreigners taste, we of course ordered Thai taste. We ordered set menu which comes with 3 appetisers and 5 mains. The waiter served 2 kinds of rice, the normal jasmine rice and riceberry. There was one dessert in the set, we had mango sticky rice and it was really good. During our diner there was a Ramayana performance, lasted around 10mins. Overall, would recommend to tourists.

What an amazing experience !
The food was delicious, the ambiance was charming, discreet and mesmerizing with some traditional thai dance during our dinner.
The staff was very attentive to our need but discreet at the same time.
As they know it was our wedding birthday they prepared a suprise chocolate cake for us with all the staff coming in to greeting us kindly.
