Off the beaten tourist path but very nice. A collection of 8 vintage Thai houses now turned into a quaint museum. Gives you a real feel for architecture. Not crowded which is part of the charm.

For 100 Bht, you can't go wrong. Fascinating and full of art and history. 3 of us got a guided tour, which helped a lot. Others may be bored, their loss. It's 88 F and only two spots are air conditioned. Even the guide complained. I'm from Florida, so not a problem. The 8 buildings are kept exactly like the way they were originally. You tour all the first floors, but then the 2nd story as they are joined with walkways. Be ready to take your shoes off, mostly for the 2nd floor. I looked but saw nothing for people with mobility issues. Beautiful grounds. No photos allowed inside buildings.

Tried looking for a quick getaway nearby out of the busy streets of bkk and found this museum with good reviews. From pratunam, you can ride a tuktuk or grab car. It has 100 baht entrance fee, that comes with free fan 🪭😊 It’s a good museum where they preserved cookery and bronze items during BC and AD era. Felt the zen mode here with well preserved houses, fountains, and greens all around, where you can just sit and relax.

I loved visiting here. So peaceful and having the opportunity to walk through this amazing place is not to be missed. The gardens are amazing and the architecture is so interesting. Not too busy but definitely worth a visit!

Very beautiful house interior and exterior.Relaxing environmental.
But you are not allowed to take any interior picture. You have to put your belongings in the office's locker.
Staffs are very polite and welcoming.
Overall, worthy to visit. Ticket is only 100 bahts.
I will recommend to my friends who are visiting Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok).

It's location is just the oasis in a scorching hot center of Bangkok. Entrance is 100THB, there are 8 traditional houses. We've been accompanied by very well English speaking museum staff, which at the end of an hour tour rewarded with 200THB as she was really sharing the knowledge with a passion. Otherwise the entire museum has very well described items, history in English. So, if you're not curious and read is enough for you that's sufficient. Enough toilets. Some expositions are air-conditioned, some obviously not. Shoes has to be taken off for entrance to the houses but bags are provided.
Oasis.

A Prince's and his consort's residence: in case you are looking for some quiet moments in this hectic part of town, this is the place.
The buildings house a museum with many valuable artefacts of ancient Siam, a number of rooms showing the presents made to them personally, their living-room, bedroom etc.
Today a lady will show you this place and tell you in English about its inhabitants and its history. Before you were allowed to discover it on your own.
Enjoy its quietness and atmosphere.
You cannot take any photos inside. Before you could.
Outside your selfies will reflect the mystical atmosphere of the Cabbage Museum - built in a former cabbage field.
The entrance fee is 100 Baht. You need not book your visit. We went there on a weekday and we were the only visitors.

Very easy to arrive from Phya Thay BTS station. The garden itself is awesome, with a lot of plants, flowers, wildlife, birds... and the old thai houses make everything look special.

A chance to see some beautiful traditional teak housing with antique artefacts as old as 5000 years old. It was a very calming place and we felt it was definitely worth the entrance fee of 100 baht each.

Visited the museum which used to be a residence of Prince Paribatra Sukhumbandhu. There are a variety of artifacts from prehistoric to more modern times. Paid 100 baht per person, and the proceeds go to the foundation. We were escorted by a volunteer who is knowledgeable about the displayed items.

A good place, inside there are many exhibits located in about ten halls. I liked it the most The Lacquer Pavilion - small building with awesome gold and black mural paintings. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht. The museum is not very popular, so there are usually not many people here. It is not allowed to take pictures inside the museum, but you can take pictures of the museum territory. The territory of the museum is not very big, but in my opinion it is a good place to rest from the noise of the city and the heat.

Located right in the middle of Bangkok metro is a private-own wooden Thai house turned into a small museum called Suan Pakkad Palace. It was once a rural area of Bangkok where Chinese people in Siam grew cabbage ( in Thai " Pakkad").
A royal family built a traditional Thai house here with big nice lawn and a fish pond. Coming here, you will be walking back in time when Thailand was Siam.

It is a gem in Bangkok. So peaceful and with lots of exhibits if you are a little interested in history and culture. I have visited several times over the years.

A gem of a museum with wonderful exhibits and an ideal place to spend a couple of hours prior to getting the nearby train (40 baht) to international airport (the museum is on the right side of town for that). A haven of peace with a delightful garden.

A little oasis of calmness in the central part of Bangkok. Interesting collection of exhibits dedicated to history and culture of Thailand.
