Island Muay Thai

Group classes are offered twice a day (8am & 4pm) for 300 Bhat. The team is good at managing different experience levels, including beginners and kids. Great value for money and really fun.

Extremely talented trainers (basic English but no problem) that understand that it’s your first time learning a new martial art. They start from the basics and then tailor your individual training to match your strength and how quickly you pick up new sequences! They push you hard and make you sweat but make you feel proud of your hard work.

They have package deals, private and group classes. We left feeling full of confidence and part of a great community

Very good training over 4 sessions. As an intermediate level guy, I really enjoyed the 2 young trainers' energy: good technical input on the pads, well-structured classes. Will train here again if back in Koh Tao.

I went on a whim and think I found a lifelong hobby. Couldn't agree with Amy more, the female trainer was so kind and fun, while also teaching me a lot. Highly recommend.

As a beginner to Muy Thai I felt comfortable learning with Island Muay Thai! Everyone is friendly. The woman trainer was my favorite though. She made this experience unforgettable. ❤

Spent here one month, training every day. Great physical challenge, guys will adjust the trainig based on your skill level and goal/ purpose of training.

I loved to train in the place - nice atmosphere and personal approach. 90min group trainings are just enough, especially that the number of participants is 5-10 people for 3-trainers. The competitions and shows they are making are very well organized and quite impressive.

Had a private class for an hour with my boyfriend and the trainers were great. Would highly recommend doing Muay Thai session here

My husband and I decided to do a beginner Muay Thai lesson while visiting Koh Tao and couldn't recommend Island Muay Thai more highly.

This was our first time doing a lesson like this and Surin was an excellent teacher. We enjoyed learning the basics and definitely had an excellent workout. Would highly recommend this gym for beginners and seasoned athletes alike!

I spent 2 weeks on the island and training here was just great! Your skill level dosent matter, the guys take care of you! Was great fun and lovely people! Already looking forward to come back!

Great gym and nice guys. I went one afternoon and watched the trainers a while before I organized my private training with one of them for the next morning. From what I could see, they suit the training to the level you are at. I've been at it a while and was very satisfied with the training I got. Hard work and they push you. Spot on. 500 baht one on one training. I'd been training in Bangkok and Hua Hin before Koh Tao. Bangkok was 500 for a group training session. Island Muay Thai is good value for money.

Very nice experience to try at least once in Thailand. I had a Muay Thai trainer for around one hour (the first phase is done in group to stretch and prepare). The only thing I would reproach is the fact that it is not real one-to-one training as it was supposed to be, we were two for one trainer, and some other people were three or four for one trainer. Anyway, I learnt the basics of Muay Thai kicks and punches and enjoyed my time, my trainer was very cool and funny!

A great gym. I have been practising Muay Thai for 11 years. A decent gym with a ring. The trainers are knowledgeable, give good instruction regarding techniques and work you hard! It was nice to get to know them and I will be back :)

I would highly recommend this gym and the training. I trained here for 2 months as a visiting tourist. They are focussed, enthusiastic and push you hard. As a woman attending on my own, I was always made welcome and felt at ease and in safe hand with the team.

Just had our first lesson and really enjoyed ourselves. 10/10 recommend

Trained here in August while staying on Koh Tao for a couple weeks.
Great fun and professional trainers and an inexpensive price made sure I kept coming back for more, plan on coming back next year :)
