Excellent accommodation from basic rooms to more upmarket bungalows. Lovely, friendly staff. Delicious, wholesome food with a varied menu.

Good WiFi. A bit further out from town but very quiet and peaceful

Great place to relax and stay on the island. We got confronted with some wildlife in our room when we arrived (a spider a bit bigger than we were used to at home). We had some other 'visitors' in the days after which is to be expected on this location. The huts are really basic but have everything you would need I would say. Food at the restaurant was good and the staff is helpful in arranging transport.

Snorkeling:
The snorkeling at the resort is nice with a great variety of species although it might be a bit hard to get in the water at low tide. Infront of the restaurant you may encounter some glass in the water. If you are on your bare feet just swim as soon as possible and watch your steps. Your probably better of with something to protect your feet but watch out for the coral!

Bike rental:
Close to the accomodation you can rent a scooter at "Brigthon", really new and high quality bikes. Which is nice regarding the fact that you do need your brakes a lot on this island. Renting one went really smooth and you have the option to leave your passport or 5k baht. Great way to discover the island!

Nearby:
There is not a lot nearby which is what I liked about the resort; it is really quiet. There is however a bar located on top of the hill from which the sunset is even better than at the restaurant at the resort. It is only a 5min walk uphill which is pretty steep but totally worth it! Would really recommend going there before sunset!

Wonderful experience, the structure is completely immersed into the wild nature. Different exotic birds with lovely sounds, you can wake up in the morning with a natural concert. The beaches are private, only for people living in the residences. You can rent the snorkelling masks at the bar/restaurant. The staff is lovely and kind. The food is tasty and cheap. The whole atmosphere is for relaxing and detaching from the crowd. Worth going there at least once in a lifetime.

Spent 7 days here, we had one of the fan only bungalows which was perfect for us ( up market units with a/c etc are available), neat and tidy with the best view, great resturant with excellent food, helpful staff, nice snorkelling, plenty of fish to see and water is clear, a lot of the day tour boats stop by during the day but that never interferred with us at all, it's a little out of town, but can rent a bike or take the taxi truck / ute, but for us the isolation was perfect, we will certainly be back on our next trip to Koh Tao, highly recommended

This is one of the best places I stayed on my whole 2month vacation in Thailand. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, there is great snorkelling right at the beach (with snorkels provided), and the bungalows are fantastic (comfy bed, balcony with chairs cold fridge, AC and fan, and really nice stone bathroom). It’s absolutely beautiful, and you can watch the sunset while you eat dinner. Stayed here 4 nights with my boyfriend and we’ve raved about it ever since. Only thing to note is location - be prepared to either rent a moped, or walk 30mins to the nearest town. If neither suits, then just enjoy relaxing on the beach!

Beautiful bungalows away from the town, perfect for a romantic time. They have motorbikes and taxis for easy transportation. Staff is kind. We stayed for 5 nights and it was delightful.

We had the most amazing time of our lives here at Tao tong villa. I booked a bunglow with bed and fan for 8 nights. On the first day, the heat felt a little too much to handle. But it felt normal when we decided to keep the windows and our minds open and just match ourself with the vibe of the place. 8 days just passed by.. Sai nuan beach is a good spot for snorkeling. Snorkeling in front of Tao tong is good as well. Everything is well managed. Food here is delicious. Staff is lovely.

We were very surprised as we were expecting elementary rooms with wonderful Bungalows hidden in the trees with AC, a beautiful west view, a fridge, and an impressive shower.
The food was amazing in all our stays on Koh Samui, on Koh Phangan and on Koh Tao we didn't get better thai food elsewhere.
The Kids loved the Banana/Nutella pancakes and Tempura Banana for breakfast and evening dessert and be sure to try the No Name dishes....

We saw here more fish and other things snorkeling like blue doted ray, turtle, squid than in all our dives on Koh Phangan an Koh Tao I are 9 Days of fun scuba diving trips.

The scuba diving spots seem to be so overused 13+ ships that normal animal life has fled. We had a Great holiday but I would not come here again for diving unless you have never been diving in the tropics before.

Staff was very helpful arranging al sorts of stuff and the taxi they supplied had best price we met.

If you plan to go diving arranging stuff can be a challenge try to install the Line App (like whats app) it what they you there. Local don't install whats app for some reason or buy a sim card ( be aware there some strange restriction only allowing calls on same network).

Be aware there are about quite a few steps down to the beach and Restaurant I not sure about the number but someone with walking restrictions should be aware. we saw it as a little exercise and no real negative.

Breakfast starts at 8:00 am which is no problem you might think in a holiday but if you go diving you'll get picked up at 7:30 and you don't get breakfast there even if the reception will insist you will... and its not possible to arrange even a cold breakfast and supermarkets are virtually not existent after covid are sell chips, ice, soft drinks and nothing useful for breakfast.

We loved this place! The location is great - away from the crowds (you need a moped though). The beach is essentially private with some good reefs where we even saw a black tip shark. The owner is really nice and friendly, giving us tips about local places. Food was simple but good.

They have AC and fan bungalows. The fan ones are right by the beach. We stayed there the first night but it was too hot and there was an army of ants in the bathroom (understandable as the bungalow was built around a big tree), so we asked to change to an AC one up the hill, which was newer and much cleaner.

Overall great value for money. You could get here by a taxi boat from the main pier too.

This stay was amazing
We first only wanted to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 7.
When we arrived we directly fall in love with this place and where lucky, that the deluxe bungalow was still free
I can’t find the right words to describe how healing this stay there was
Everyone is so friendly and they do there best so get you as happy as possible
Organise pick up from the ferry for a fair price, scooter, ferry ticket, laundry, they can help!

Also my wife and I had the best versions of our favourite Thai dishes there.
Chuck, I hope I spell it right, is an amazing cook and she is also helpful and friendly as all of the employees.
And as said we had so many dishes all over Thailand but the best taste was at here kitchen
You have to try here masamam curry it’s the best and also her papaya salad!

We would love to travel Many different places and don’t plan visiting places so far away from our home twice
But if we ever return to Thailand, it will be because of this peace of paradise on Koh Tao

We loved our 2 week stay here! We settled into the bungalow with a big balcony: B1 was the last one in the corner and we enjoyed the privacy. The owner fixed a hammock and we could take turn to relax on it (you could rent another and pay a small few for it but we didn't because the plastic beach chairs were good enough) and it was so comfortable to enjoy the breeze and the sound of the waves as we were right by the sea.

The bungalow B1 which we stayed at faced the morning sun and it could get really hot quickly when the sun is up because there was only a fan but it was perfect because we woke up naturally with the sunrise and would have a quick dip in the gorgeous bay. This bay is really popular with dive boats and people who hire private boats for snorkelling so it could get really busy between 10am to 4pm so although the beach was mostly private, the sea could get crowded. When there arent people, the sea was really wonderful and we could see different fishes, even trigger fishes who mostly left us alone, not aggressive.

The restaurant/ kitchen began serving simple dishes and when we were feeling lazy, we would have our meals at the accommodation. Koh Tao is really small and easy to get around so if you rent a scooter, you dont have to worry about the lack of a kitchen to use or a small menu at the accomodation. Just take a 5min ride and you will find good food (e.g., Babaloo!)

The facilities were basic, the bungalow rustic but those was the reasons why we loved it. We were there for the sea, the view and the experience. Bathroom with a simple bucket to flush on your own, bedroom with a Thai-style "mattress" and reliable mosquito net, no hot shower. Sufficient and an authentic experience. We highly recommend this place if you would like to enjoy the sea, the privacy, genuine and friendly staff.

Basic accommodations but the location is amazing. It's secluded from much of the island and can be a bit tricky to get to. You will need a scooter or get a boat taxi. Great place to relax and enjoy a few days snorkeling and reading. You can walk to nearby beaches and restaurants using the paths along the coast. The restaurant serves very good Thai food and shakes at a reasonable price.

Super charming place just by the sea, perfect for a morning swim before having a lovely breakfast from the bar as they make great food there too! The bungalows are big and with a very comfy bed (unless you choose the cheapest room they have which is very tiny and with a hard mattress). The location is perfectly secluded and away from traffic and people so would recommend having a scooter to get around the island. It’s only a few mins drive to the Main Street near by.

I'm so glad I found this little gem of a stay. Yes the bungalow for whatever it's worth is not fully equipped with a fridge and other accoutrements, may not be on the main road, but you really want it to be? They have a fully equipped restaurant that serves amazing food with an extensive menu and fair prices. There really is no reason to leave. Also rents out snorkels and fins if need be with wifi available in the patio/ restaurant area. This is perfect for families who aren't in koh Tao for to get their open water and for couples as well. Also fit for those who want just listen to the ocean waves and check out for a little while and recharge their batteries.

The snorkeling off their bay is protected by a small peninsula so the water is very calm for first timer snorkelers and children. I'd also recommend make the hike to sky bar right above the village for spectacular sunsets.

I've spent 10 days here enjoying my time to relax.
It's located in a perfect location where it will be only you, few peoples and the sea.
Bungalow are basics so it's maybe not adapted for you if you require much comfort, but if you enjoy simplicity, it's the place for you.
Bonus point, the food they are cooking is amazing, so you do that even have to leave the place 🙂

Ok let me tell you, the road here is long and hard, you better borrow scooter and drive carefully. But as soon as you get here you will be in small separated world. Three small beaches around, restaurant with great great food (so great we only eat here for 4 days :D ), bungalows are so romantic... Ok no hot water but please remember this is budget accomoditation. You have balcony just over the beach though :) i was afraid it won't be good as someone wrote a bad review about this place, that it is depressing. Let me tell you, if this is depressing then you can hang yourself as it does not get much better :D there is internet access only in the restaurant which is great, you just need to accept you are here to relax.
And snorkeling - we went for a diamond tour which was great, but here around this "resort" it is amazing. If you snorkeled on the beach under restaurant you will be amazed, really.
Really really great place. Highly recommend, it is steal for that money :)

Hide Away from Koh Tao Party Party all night long. Great view, great food, very friendly. We stay here for 12 nights. But you need a scooter or a boat to reach the rest of the world. We really like the place!

Restaurant have a good view, it is good point for sunset view.
Drinks must try coconut shake &banana bean shake .
Can snorkel in front of resort that have many fish. Have kayak boat at resort that you can rent it.
