Mai Khao Temple

I arrived at 6am, there was a big festival or arrival of a prominent monk being planned for. Wonderful to see the morning bustle. Did manage to get some quite moments of contemplation.

Calm, clean and quite temple

It is one of a few Dhammayuttika Nikaya temple in Phuket. It also is a forrest temple. The former abbot — Venerable Ajhan Dang, and the current abbot — Ajhan Weath mostly plant and take care of the trees themselves. Some of the trees are more then 50 years old.

The monks here are very respectful because they strictly and well-preserved follow the buddha teaching.

Their daily routine starts at 4.30am to have a morning pray. Then, monks and nuns will sweep the floor for an hour before walking around the village. During this time villager will give alms to the monks. Then, the monks will go back and have breakfast. It is the only meal they have a day. On every buddha day, villagers will gather here to do good merit which also have Dharma lesson from the abbot.

Then on afternoon, around 3pm, the monks will clean the temple again. Then have evening pray and meditation session.

Everyone are welcome to join in any session. You can also come to stay at the temple to learn Buddha way of life (please ask the monks or nuns for more detail)

Lastly, do not forget to visit the abby over the pond at the backyard of the temple. So chill and nice atmosphere.

Beautiful and quiet temple near Mai Khao beach.

Amazing place to walk around - lake water level was a bit low - enormous carp! Nice place for some contemplation

Beautiful and big temple located about 9 kilometers from the Mai Khao. I recommend having time at the time of visiting. Relax, pray and enjoy Phuket and Thailand!!

Прекрасное место. Тишина и спокойно. Тенёк, в жаркий день очень хорошо там посидеть на лавочке. Красивый храм и территория.

Потрясающее место, атмосфера спокойствия и умиротворения.
В пруду плавают красивые рыбы, черепашка, вараны, прилетают цапли, на деревьях можно увидеть белок.
Местные просят не кормить рыб.
Пруд священный, рыбалка запрещена.
Есть традиция в значимые дни выпускать в пруд спасенных от продажи рыбок, где они проживают долгую и, возможно, счастливую жизнь.

Очень красивое место, берите хлеб кормить рыб, одна там есть умная рыба, все время будет за вами плавать. Видели варана, но он быстро убежал от нас. Красивый домик на воде с дорожкой к нему.

Были там 2 раза подряд: первый - заехали после самолетов, уже ближе к вечеру. Второй раз - на следующий день поехали специально именно сюда покормить рыб. А отсюда - на любимый банана бич.

Красивый храм недалеко от пляжа Май Кхао. Когда мы были в нем в июле 2019 года,мы не встретили там посетителей,только одного монаха. Войти в храм у нас не получилось,он был закрыт. Если вы едете на пляж Май Кхао,то посетите и храм. Он в хорошем состоянии,вокруг тишина и спокойствие

วัดสะอาดสะอ้าน สงบ เป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อยเหมาะแก่การมาสร้างบุญกุศล

Красивое и тихое место. Можно встретить монахов. Тем у кого поблизости отель, рекомендую посетить. А так, ради этого места ехать не стоит. Есть места и интернснее.

สวยและสงบมากกกๆๆ ทุกๆวันพระจะมีทำบุญใ่ส่บาตรที่ศาลา

Eine große Tempelanlage mit schönem Teich in dem viele Kois beheimatet sind
