Yenjai restaurant

Randomly have our lunch yesterday and the food is so good that we decided to come back tonight for dinner. Never disappointing. Every dish and dessert is just perfectly cooked. Chef and owner have been working in hotels around the world in places such China, Bahrain, Swiss, USA, Indonesia and India for 16yrs and started this restaurant more than 5yrs ago.

Very authentic Thai dishes. Friendly owners and extremely clean restaurant. Great serving and highly recommend the Panang Curry. The prices here are more than the standard local spots, but still worth the value of dishes that came out.

We found Yenjai’s on our last day in Mai Khao. We loved it so much, we arranged a cooking lesson and spent more time in Mai Khao just for this incredibly delicious food. Yenjai is an incredible cook and teacher. We were very lucky to have found her and we cannot wait to be able to visit again. Her food is a must try!

Very homely gem of a restaurant. Owner was the chief chef in Marriott and brings with her years of culinary excellence and love and passion into beloved Thai dishes.
The fish, pad thai, green curry, banana fritters and mango sticky rice is to die for!
My family will visit every year and specifically make a beeline for this hidden gem.

Yenjai is the Chef Patron and the food is very good. Restaurant is AC'd and clean, great value. Nice option for a meal plus corkage fee is only 300bht.

This restaurant should be on the michelin guide, the food was undoubtedly the best we had in Phuket. We got most of the dishes that were chef recommended - don't skimp out on the amazing dessert.

Also, please take off your shoes before entering the restaurant! The man serving us was extremely friendly too. Will definitely be a place we will return to when we come back to Phuket!

Had dinner there last night. Food was tasty. Loved the presentation and how friendly the lady was. She gave me a papaya from her tree when we left! Wishing them success @ Yenjai

Amazing place for Thai food! Homely and clean (very very clean) inside, customers have to take off shoes on entering. Seats were well spaced out, attentive service. Most of all, food was good! Oh and they have free Wi-Fi.

We ordered the spring rolls, fried pork, chicken satay skewers, coconut soup and fried noodles and morning glory. The fried pork was standout amazing, and we could have eaten two plates of it! The rest of the food we had was good decent Thai food, but the pork was a must order.

This is a beautiful gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is meticulous, the service generous and the food outstanding. They have a great and extensive menu of authentic Thai food.

This is one of the best restaurants I have been into, and as you can see I have several hundreds of reviews. The owner is a Thai local that has been in many countries. She lived in the US, Bahrain, India and Switzerland. She is really warm and welcoming and took care of us all the time. They food was really good, especially their stellar dish of Fried Pork in Pepper sauce. I would totally recommend going there and even just getting there for the experience. Well done!

Beautiful little restaurant. We decided to drive here for our dinner and our decision was right. Atmosphere here is so homey and feels like you're invited to someone's house. Shrimp curry, coconut soup, crab curry (hard shell) , fish in the sweet and sour sauce was our order and it prepared so well. Hope you don't miss the place. It is worth to visit.

Came here on a recommendation from our hotel, and were very pleasantly surprised.
The authentic Thai dishes were well presented and truly delicious!
The chef, Yanjai, is a lovely, friendly lady who takes great pride in her cooking.
All dishes are cooked to order with the freshest of ingredients. Clearly a lot of thought and hard work has gone into preparing and the dishes.
Will definitely be visit again.

Lovely joint run by passionate couple Yenjai (lady chef) & husband. Yummy local dishes with great flavour, & at very affordable prices. Ordered most of the chef-recommended items on menu, all good! Dishes were authentic yet creative, & all beautifully plated. Clean, well-decorated & very rustic place. Yenjai was friendly & hospitable. Lunch time is very peaceful, minimal crowd. Apparently dinner time gets more crowded, calling ahead allows her to plan capacity & manage better, for best experience. Definitely recommended.

We arrived in Phuket late and reached Yenjai slightly after 9pm. Yenjai restaurant serves homely thai cuisine and is run by Chef Yenjai and her husband. Every dish was well executed and made only upon ordering. Thus, ensuring freshness and food is served hot. We had the flavourful stir fried noodles, well seasoned fried pork in pepper (this was on every table), corn fritters and the tom yum soup. Chef Yenjai’s title of masterchef is well deserved. Great thai meal at affordable prices. Anyone who stays at the Mai Khao vicinity should give this a go. Truly a hidden gem in Mai Khao!

Protip: If you’re here during the shoulder or peak season, be sure to call for a reservation before coming. Seats get filled very quickly w both locals and tourist.

Just simply fantastic cooking. Incredible flavours which are all very clean and shine through.

Standouts are the wing bean salad, the tom kai gha and the green curry!

Lovely little converted home restaurant.

Phenomenal food by a retired international master chef. Dont expect instant service as the food is prepared from scratch by the chef who is assisted by her husband and one other kitchen help.

The food has a special touch. Amazing flavours, great presentation. The place is spotlessly clean. Inexpensive prices too. Vegetarian options can be requested at no additional charge. Very tasty even without fish sauce. Very fresh seafood.

Not only is the food absolutely divine, the chef would deserve a star, but the owners are the nicest people we have ever met. They literally greeted us by opening their arms to us, we tasted excellent food (even the desserts are exceptional), and while chatting they learned that we were in a hotel a few minutes from the restaurant, and seeing that the thunderstorm was coming and a lot of rain was falling, they drove us back in their own car to the hotel door. it saved us a hell of a shower! Thank you so much for your kindness and warm welcome 🙏

Our best meal in Phuket. You can blindly order and no disappointment. Totally worth driving a long way to the restaurant.
