Coriacea Boutique Resort

A calm and relaxed vibe here at this accommodation. Rooms are relatively basic but very clean. The staff at the front desk and the restaurant are absolutely lovely. Pool area is nice and the food I had was excellent! If you want to plane spot on Mai Khao Beach, grab one of the complimentary bicycles and pedal down the path along the beach about 600m to the spotting site. You won't be disappointed! Staff can arrange airport pick up and drop off - just contact them. I will definitely come back here again! Great place.

The Coriacea Resort is a pet friendly hotel in Mai Khao. Located just a 10 minute drive from Phuket airport it’s the perfect location if you arrive late at night or leave early morning. It’s a stone’s throw away from the beach too so you can wake up to amazing views in the morning. If you walk about 10 minutes further down the beach you can also watch the planes landing and taking off at the airport. Such a cool sight as they get quite low when landing!

Pet fee was an additional 500 baht (£11.25). We didn’t get anything included for the pet fee, it was just an extra money maker for the hotel. So a big thumbs down from me on that front.

The room itself was nice. It had a big comfy bed and a great sea view over the swimming pool and on towards the beach and the sea. It was nice and clean and decorated in a modern style with a small seating area next to the window. There was also a balcony with a couple of chairs so you could sit and enjoy the sea view.

The hotel was also pretty nice. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There was a big swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers and it was easy to do lengths. They have a restaurant which had a good choice of both Thai and Western food at typical hotel pricing. Both meals we had here (lunch and dinner) were pretty tasty.

Dogs weren’t allowed indoors in the restaurant but there was a table outside that we could sit at together.

Breakfast was served in the restaurant and you could order a la carte dishes along side a small buffet selection. Choice was quite reasonable.

Conclusion
This is definitely a hotel I would go to again. Especially if I was flying from Phuket airport and wanted to be nearby. It was a good location, nice beach, friendly staff and nice clean, modern rooms.

The only thing letting the Coricea down as a pet friendly hotel in Mai Khao was the pet fee. You all know I hate paying pet fees and this was a bit on the higher end. Not only that but you didn’t even get any dog snacks for it. So that’s the biggest area for improvement.

Lovely, Clean Hotel Just right next to the loooong and quiet Mai Khao beach - you can Watch Planes landing at the Airport which is Just a few hundred meters away. But its quiet, lovely sunsets, great Infinity Pool. You can lend Bikes for free to get to City Center. Rooms are spacious and have awesome showers! The only Thing which would Make the stay even better is at least one english Channel or streaming possibilities.
Breakfast awesome too!

The four-day stay during low season at this hotel with my puppy was a memorable experience. Staff were very kind and helpful. Great choices of breakfast. Good size room with sea view. My pup was happy there.

Comfortable bed, close to airplane point for awesome pictures, bikes to use to have a romantic bike ride on the beach, the beach itself is beautiful and very little people. Even has a nice restaurant and bar

We had a great stay in this hotel in a rainy season of July 2023. Receptionist Tia was looking after us very well. We never met such hospitality in any other hotel. Other team members were nice as well. The beach was not suitable for swimming in July. It was filthy and the waves were too high. The view from the room balcony and from the pool side was fantastic. The area around the hotel and the pool itself were kept very clean. The swimming pool was large and quiet. We thought that a 10min walk to the village with the restaurants, money exchange offices, multiple Thai massage studios, the tour office and 7 Eleven supermarket was not far.
The restaurant has European food, which is great. They charge Western European prices too.

Stayed at this hotel many times, fantastic friendly owners and staff beautiful clean nicely appointed rooms, lovely pool overlooking the sea, excellent food in the restaurant and very well priced nothing to much trouble for staff for a relaxing beachfront hotel this is the best hotel in Phuket also another good point they are pet friendly absolutely fantastic hotel highly recommended

Perfect place if you need to be close to the airport as it allows you the enjoy the beach and its great facilities without worrying about how to get to the airport

Coriacea Boutique Resort is definitely one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at, travelling around Thailand. In our opinion the hotel provides plenty of options to make customers’ vacation as much comfortable as it’s possible.
There are a great selection of breakfast and wide range of Thai and European dishes for the lunch or dinner time and the prices, I must admit, quite reasonable ones. If it's not suitable for someone, there are number of local cafes and 7\11 just in 10 minutes on feet or 5 minutes by bicycle which is provided on site (the activities which can vary a bit your lazy rest).
There is a lovely infinity swimming pool with jacuzzi with a good sea view. The beach is clean, with stunning sunsets and opportunity to enjoy the planes landing or taking off. The sea is really pleasant to swim. The hotel provides customers with beach towel and beach umbrella, which is quite nice. Our room, with a sea view was well-equipped, spacious, with comfy bed and balcony. The staff was amicable and helpful.
We found just a few things which might be improved in our opinion. Primarily, we would do some cosmetic repairs of the foreside of the hotel. Frankly speaking, I agree with those people, who made unfavorable comments concerning appearance of the building. Secondly, we would expand a sunbath area a bit and put there more sun beds. As for the last thing, I would change the description of the hotel concerning bathrobes, as bathrobes were among facilities hotel provided, but in reality, they were not there at all. All in all, for our family spent enjoyable time in Coriacea Boutique Resort and we’d love to come back some day.

Very nice and comfortable hotel on a serene beach away from the crowd. Beautiful sunset. Hospitable staff. Super convenient with just 15 mins from the airport. Above all, souther food here is great (Recommend หมูผัดกะปิ)!!! Nice breakfast selection too.

This place can be as self contained as you want it to be (as long as you don't want a beer after 10pm. The restaurant serves a great variety at very reasonable prices, and the staff are awesome. You can borrow bikes to get your way into town a bit quicker (about a 1.5km ride), and the pool makes for a great sunset location. Rooms are huge and comfortable. It is a fair walk to get to any other restaurants if you wanted to eat elsewhere (and there are a couple of great restaurants a little bit away, both in "town" as well as down the road). Also an easy walk to the viewing spot to watch the hundreds of planes daily land and take off.

Airplanes and bikeriding

The location was good, next to the beach and few buildings nearby. Free use of bicycles which within 10-15 minutes ride took you to several small restaurants, minimarkets, clinics etc. 1 km south on the beach you can watch airplanes landing at the airport about 15-20 m above your head, or feel the hot air from engines at take-off. Just awsome!!! 1 km north there is a water-fun park. Unfortunately closed because of Covid19. The room was spacious and clean, and with pool entrance level it was very convenient. Breakfast was generous and restaurant had excellent menues. Taxi to airport was 400 bth (fixed price) and took 15 minutes. Overall it was a good choice of hotel. Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights and there was much to explore if you like bike riding.

Great hotel right on the beach! Staff was extremely helpful, rooms were clean and the food in the restaurant was great. Highly recommend :) Especially with small children !

Really Nice resort. Pool area was clean and a good sized pool. Rooms were very clean. Would say a little bit pricey for the quality of the room but offering the free use of Kayaks and Bicycles made it worthwhile.

Are you looking for a very secluded and enjoyable place for a stay? Don't look any further! Coriacea, the name of a rare spieces of Leatherback Turtles, is just the resort you are looking for! Nestled in Mai Khao Beach among pine trees , this charming place can only ravish your eyes and other senses. The pool area is most tempting for a dip before your meals, the rooms are pleasant and equiped for a restful night. Everything in the bathroom is of excellent quality and amenities are aplenty.
The owner's daughter- Toey- is the Chef, and what a Chef! She loves what she does, and it really shows. She will choose a menu along with your requirements and will make sure all the food is first grade. Breakfast is plentiful and of great variety to please any palate whether Thai or International!
Toey is actually an artist and the paintings you can admire around the hotel are hers and yours to enjoy!
Visit this hotel and I am sure you will enjoy it just as much as we did, and you will want to come back as you are made very welcome indeed. The staff will be there to please your every wish- with a smile of course.
A definite Boutique Resort to discover and revel so very much.

Were in many hotels in Phuket, but this one liked the most-clean, spacious rooms, the beach is within reach. On the beach there is no such a crowd of people as in the center, the water is clean, no debris is noticed. The only entertainment out of here is the local restaurant, swings and airplanes. Therefore, rented a car in Orange car phuket, (I do not remember the site, but there is on the Internet, you can find), it came out much cheaper than a taxi.
By the way, the prices in the restaurant were pleasantly surprised, twice cheaper than in the center.

Very nice hotel / resort superclose to beach. Pool, happy hours from 17:00 - 19:00 on fantastic drinks, cosy rooms. Hotel situated near airport. Very kind receptionists and all staff, yummy breakfasts. You can borrow bikes and explore beauty of Thailand. Recommended.

wow... so nice for 1st night in phuket. breakfast was just what I needed and the coffee spectacular. the beach right there. nice pool. they accommodated me after midnight when I did not have a reservation. the room was fabulous with a great rain shower head. I could have spent many days here. Just what i needed. scary spider but meh... he mostly left me alone. haha

Staff was also fabulous, helpful, very nice. Pricey hotel but I thoroughly enjoyed my 10 hours there. (checked in at 2am out at noon)
