Mai Khao Palm Beach Resort

We loved staying here. The rooms were huge, the price was affordable, the food was great, and the location was amazing.

My family loved the pool, as it was enormous. My kids especially liked the waterside and the kids area. It’s wasn’t until our last day that we also realized there was a pool in front of the hotel too.

Both my wife and I got massages and they were fantastic.

The room service took a bit of time (peak hours) but the foods was great.

First impression was : wow !

After 2 week of Thailand - this was my last hotel bfr departing.
So it was a good choice - just for relaxing .

It was big big hotel . I only saw another Chinese couple at night and few stewards at morning .

Longest pool and if u bring ur kids ( they goona enjoy )

Buffet breakfast: honestly I thought they goona kill it but it was so ordinary . Nothing special .

The rooms was very spacious and big . I like their interior designs and bath 🛀 tub so much .

This hotel is the perfect place to 'end' your trip at.

Close to the airport, and 10 second walk to a sprawling, beautiful beach that's empty most days.

There's not much food nearby, but the hotels restaurant made the best pad Thai and Tom yum soup I had all week! I couldn't recommend this place more, it was a wonderful place to unwind after a busy trip filled with travels.

The resort is huge and lovely, although more effort should be put in to maintain the property. Rooms are spacious and facilities were sufficient. The only downside is the gym, where some of the equipments are not working well. The massive pool around the property lines was amazing!

I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff did more than every to fulfill all my wishes. The room is decorated with a lot of love and so many details and breakfast was beautiful. Especially because of the amazing staff and the beautifully decorated rooms I'd always come back. :)

Me and my friends really enjoyed our stay at the resort. We had a beach front view and full access to the beautiful beach. The facilities were proper and the rooms were big, however I must point out that their breakfast buffet is exceptional! A must stay if you are visiting Phuket

My family (niece, her wife and toddler, nanny) and I stayed here for 2 nights, and we all loved it. It is close to the airport and has beautiful grounds to walk through. There is an indoor playroom and a children's pool area, which is great, and Ihad a lot of fun playingtable tennis, which Ihadn'tdone in over 35 / 40 years.
The rooms are enormous, with ample space for hanging clothes, suitcases, etc. I chose a room with a patio that led out to a small private pool, that led into a bigger pool - it was gorgeous 😍 There is a pool bar, which unfortunately closed very early, so we were only able to have 1 drink at the water bar. The pools are a delight - there are pool paths that one can explore - it was lots of fun 😀 The restaurant had a lot on offer for carnivores, but for me being vegetarian and mostly vegan, there was not too much. However, the staff adapted what they could to accommodate me, and it was very tasty. The strawberry dacquiris were INCREDIBLE! The only downside is that the resort has TERRIBLE COTS! My niece was 18 months old and needed a cot - what was supplied was old, extremely unsafe (the mattress didn't fit the cot at all), and the bedding provided was old and dirty. It was very disappointing, as everything else was superb. The staff tried to make things work by putting duvets in the gaps, but it was a safety issue. It is important that Maikhao address this issue because if something happened to a child who slept in one of those stupendously atrocious cots, it would be a terrible thing for everyone 🙄
Maikhao is far from the more popular areas of Phuket. I don't see that as a negative, but some might. It is on the quieter side of the island, with the beach just opposite. Great value.
I would go back to Maikhao and highly recommend it - it is a peaceful and beautiful place.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in, I stayed here for my honeymoon and it was worth every penny. Very well maintained, great hospitality. I highly recommend

Beautiful stay, gorgeous hotel! Very quiet atm. Also maikhao area is very quiet, remote village area, which we really liked for a change. Not really shopping, 2x 7Eleven. We loved our stay though, pool is stunning and wraps the full length of the hotel, water playground and slide. Went beaxh walking and day trip to splash water park, it was new, clean, really fun! Also enjoyed the wake park and horse riding along the beach.

Near to airport, far from the Phuket Town. 45 mins drive.

I have no clue why there are so many bad reviews. We as a family with small children and an elderly were worried after reading them at first. But the rooms were large, nice and clean, pool was nice (children part could maybe have some extra attention, but nothing out of the ordinary) and the service was good. I really do not recognize the complaints I read (went there may 2023).

Stayed for 4 nights.
Its right on the beach and pretty much away from all the hustle and bustle.
Has a gym that has what you need.
Staff are friendly.

Was a very comfortable stay! Luxurious large bath, late night check in. Buffet breakfast in the morning. Right on the beach! Great little find for us. We were quite impressed.

5 stars, carried mostly for the rooms we received. Very clean, spacious and lovely decor for a great price.
Staff didn’t treat us like some VIP like 5 star hotels but they were responsive and respectful, an overall positive experience so that’s more than good enough.
Room service menu potentially lacking, but arrived quickly and efficiently, decent food.

The pools had a bit of leaves floating around, nothing different to my home pool, and appeared to have good chlorine content. No algae, or bugs etc. No problems swimming in it.
Yes, some services like pool bars are not on, the many rooms of the hotel appear mostly empty, but I feel that’s some systemic issue that’s not only the hotel’s fault. Ie, the locality is quite restrictive and general business in the area is quite down, roadworks, etc.

The breakfast was serviceable, the basics are there, 4-5 hot dishes, salad, fruits, bread, omelette/egg on demand and teas,coffee,fruits. Again no complaints, for the price which includes breakfast it’s not bad.

Overall amazing rooms, good pricing and no negative experience. I would stay longer than our one night stay if our travel plan allowed. 5 stars.

One of the most recommended resort in the Maikhao. Friendly staff, great hospitality, delicious foods, kids friendly play area and nice kids pool.

Brilliance style of rooms and entrance and exterior decoration and very nice pool designed and very clean stuffs nice also everything inside and very very nice and on the beach directly and you can see the planes very near when you’re swimming but it’s so far from restaurants and supermarkets and activities area

Close to the airport without noise of planes. If you like the natural beach and very quiet atmosphere .All rooms are mountain view . There is a building which will be sea view but still on renovation. The swimming pool is large and follows the building which is about 500 meters long. Good buffet breakfast.
Warning ... if you look for night life it is not the place to go.

I had the Deluxe Room with Pool Access. The room was perfect. One of the best rooms, spacious and well decorated and clean. there were not a lot of people in the hotel. 10 Min from Phuket airport. cross the street from a nice swimmable beach "depend on the weather of course". Good Pool. The breakfast was serviceable, the basics are there, 4-5 hot dishes, salad, fruits, bread, omelet/egg on demand, and teas, coffee, and fruits. Again no complaints, for the price which includes breakfast it’s not bad. very quiet atmosphere.

I would stay longer than our one-night stay when looking for a place nice and far from Crazy wild Patong.

Wonderful hotel to stay. I had a room with a sea view. Large comfortable room. Everything is clean and tidy, nice staff. The atmosphere itself did not inspire the search for flaws, so I didn’t find them in 5 days of my stay.
The hotel has 2 swimming pools: one in front of the building overlooking the sea, the second (very long) in front of the buildings overlooking the pool and lake. The same pool has a children's part: a slide, mushrooms and a few more facilities for children from 1-2 years old.
The breakfasts were very tasty, but I was taking options for Thai dishes. I dined and dined in cafes nearby (the usual small Thai cafes).
You can take a car and drive around the neighborhood, drive to the shops, buy fruit. (Rent a car - Orange car phuket, there is a website on the Internet), it was much cheaper than a taxi.
The hotel has very unusual surroundings - a couple of abandoned hotels nearby and an abandoned Buddhist temple near the lake (within 5 minutes walking distance).
I rested during the rainy season, so there were very few people. It was impossible to swim in the sea because of the waves and I spent some of the time in the pool, and some on the balcony (overlooking the sea) in the bathroom or on the sofa. In general, relaxation and rest from people was a success.
In my opinion, this is a great hotel just for relaxation, but is hardly suitable for people who need an active entertainment program.

Perfect to start your thai holiday and to acclimatize after a long-haul flight. The pool for the kids is cool, the beach is close. I enjoyed the eggs for breakfast (the rest of the buffet was ok, but I missed fresh fruit-juice). Staff is friendly.
