The bridge is a great place to stop when coming to or leaving Phuket. The bridge is a symbol of the legend of the two young lovers who bound themselves together and leapt to their death the Saphan Rak Sarasin meaning 'Sarasin Bridge of Love'.
Parking available both sides.
Lots of vendors on the North side. Don't miss the exit before the drive over from the South side!
It was raining heavily the day we stopped!

Amazing place, about one hour drive from Phuket Town. I just drove my scooter to this place. On the way you will find some amazing secluded beaches. You can click amazing pics here. No entry fee. There is a history behind this bridge that one can read on wikipedia.

Sarasin Bridge Viewpoint is the gateway to Phuket connected between Phang Nga and Phuket. It is also a good spot of seeing sunset.
Sarasin Bridge was the first bridge that linked Phuket Island to Phang Nga Province on mainland Thailand. Named after a Thai-Chinese politician (the Sarasin family has been a wealthy clan involved in Thailand business and politics since the 19th century), this 700-metre bridge was built in 1967 to replace the ferry which was then the only connection to the mainland.
Tourism development and the increase of road traffic urged authorities to build a larger bridge right next to Sarasin Bridge. Thepkasattri Bridge was completed in 2011.
Sarasin Bridge was then transformed into a tourist attraction – a pedestrian bridge where you can enjoy the sunset and sea breeze.
The idea of keeping the Sarasin Bridge as a tourist attraction may sound strange, but it's quite a popular destination for many locals in the evening.
Saphan Sarasin สะพานสารสิน (as it's known in Thai) is an interesting strolling destination. Its central part has 2 towers linked by a platform, offering a viewpoint over the Andaman Sea to the west and Phang Nga Bay to the east. Many ornate lamps line the walkway, making it especially beautiful at dusk.

The view can see the tip of the beach between Phuket and Phang-nga. The sea here isn't for play. Due to the under sea wave is very strong and dangerous. People come here for fishing 🎣 it's a fishing spot for local people here..

Whether you're a local or a tourist, Sarasin Bridge is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Calm and quiet at night. Good place to see local fishermen on the bridge. Tho it’s probably safer during day time.

This is one of the great place for the site seeing, photography, fishing, boating and any other activities that one can do at beach but sadly do to pandemic most places around Phuket are not labeled as safe for swimming or not as it used to be during tourist seasons.
This bridge also hold the tragic love story that happened in Feb,1973. Dam and Gew took their life after father ruthlessly👹 rejected their plea for marriage.💑
Plus point: You get one of the best sunset view from pavilion of this bridge.
Thus, this bridge is also called a bridge of love❤

This is a horizontal bridge for people, it is flat and paved with asphalt. People can ride on this bridge by car and even by bike. It is not for elephants, boats or spaceships. Do not use jet or warp engines in order to avoid damage to the coating. Take care of the bridge, it is good and useful for the human race!

It is a historic bridge linking Phang Nga/Mainland to Phuket Island/Province. The middle is raised, likely for ships to pass and as a lookout point. The bridge is now for pedestrians, as traffic uses a newer bridge nearby. It's a unique landmark with great views and a connection to the past
