Wat Tham Prathun

This temple is very simple and natural, with huge bamboo forests and well-preserved trees. Especially in the woods, there are all kinds of birds chirping, which is very pleasant to the ears. It's a peaceful and relaxing place.

Beautiful place just a 30 minute drive east of Pattaya/Jomtien. Excellent birding (bird watching) and photo ops. Plenty of good habitat and ground to cover. There is also a photography hide (blind) where up 6 people can sit and wait quite close, yet fully concealed, for birds to come to the natural water feature for a drink and bathing. Great for photo enthusiasts. Spent 7 hours hiking & hiding and saw 29 different species of birds. Managed some decent snaps too. 📷

Wat Tham Prathun is a beautiful Buddhist Temple in the midst of natural surrounding, peaceful and serene.

ช่วยกันทำบุญครับ เป็นค่ายสาธารณูปโภค กับวัด ทำบุญบางครั้ง ไม่ต้องมาวัดก็ทำบุญ สร้างจิตใจอันสงบได้

วันนี้มาทำบุญวันพระ สถานที่สะอาดเรียบร้อย พระทุกรูปท่านเป็นพระปฏิบัติดีปฏิบัติชอบ เมตตา มาก จะทำบุญตอนเช้า ให้มาถึงวัดก่อน7โมงเช้า ท่านรับบาตรแล้วฉันแล้ว แยกย้ายขึ้นปฏิบัติภาวนาเลย ในส่วนของเขตสงฆ์ ถ้าจะพบท่านต้องมาแต่เช้าค่ะ

วัดนี้ไม่ใช่วัดที่มีถ้ำใหญ่ๆ ให้เที่ยวนะคะ
อันนั้นวัดถ้ำเขาประทุน ระยองค่ะ

ส่วนถ้าใครจะมาถวายภัตตาหารเช้า
หรือถวายสังฆทาน
ให้มาตอน 6.30-6.50 นะคะ
เพราะพอ 7 โมงเช้า พระท่านจะฉันอาหารแล้วค่ะ
หลังจากนั้นพระท่านจะกลับกุฏิไปเดินจงกรม
นั่งสมาธิแล้วนะคะ
ถ้ามาก็จะไม่เจอใครแล้วค่ะ
หรือจะฝากของถวายไว้กับแม่ชีที่โรงครัวก็ได้ค่ะ

ในส่วนของเจดีย์ไม่ได้เปิดให้เข้าชมแล้วนะคะ
ชมได้แค่รอบนอกค่ะ

ส่วนใครที่จะมาดูนก ก็สอบถามเส้นทางมาดีๆ นะคะ ไม่งั้นจะหาจุดดูนกไม่เจอนะคะ
วัดกว้างและเงียบมาก

Awesome place for the travelers who love peace and jungle. It's located on the mountain but not too far away from the road. There are many toilets and car parks. If you want to do merits you should be there before 7am because the monk will eat at 7 am then go into the jungle to pray in a peaceful place under a tree. There are a few nuns who stay in the temple and do cleaning then pray too.
