Som Restaurant

One of the few authentic restaurants in Bang Por at fair prices! The service is very important here and Som's daughter is very attentive and totally kind to her guests. We always like to come here and spend the evening with a good cool beer or a good cocktail. The kitchen is just great 👌who doesn't go to eat here 🤷‍♀really missed something! We'll definitely come back 🫰🥰

Really great authentic food at this family run business, located with a beautiful view on the beach. We ate multiple times here during our stay. Highly recommend the fried prawns, papaya salad and any curry !

I have been coming to Som several times a week recently - every dish is fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect, right on the beach. My top recommendation is the fried squid, easily the best squid/calamari I’ve had in recent years.

What an absolute gem find! Family run restaurant, welcoming, friendly and clean! We especially loved the watermelon shake and we came back for more on 3 more occasions. All food we tried was superb, red curry, papaya salad, the fried breakfast and spring rolls oh and don’t forget the morning glory and all right next to the beach and very reasonable priced! We can’t wait to be back next year. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality

Friendly family run Thai restaurant, pork ribs was excellent. They also offer laundry service.

We only had drinks but they were fantastic! The banana shake with coconut milk is easily the best thing I’ve drank on KS. :)

We tried this restaurant last night and it was amazing! The woman serving was lovely and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the stir fry chicken with cashew nuts and chicken fried rice. I wish we were staying longer so we could eat here again!

Very good food. Deep fried snapper has a crispy skin and is soft inside. Creamy Penang curry. My daughter likes the burger with fries.

We found this place whilst driving along the coast. We were looking for something typical and cheap. We could have very easily missed it but we're happy we didn't. Little restaurant right on the beach, facing Ko Pha Nang. We had a Tom Yum Kung, mice and hot with 2 refreshing fruit juices to go with it. All very nice, what stood out even more was the friendly service.

A lovely little low key restaurant by the water owned & run by what we believe to be mother & daughter. Coming here we didn’t know what to expect considering the stigma of food in Asian countries. The fact is we were blown away by the flavour of the food, the beauty of the location & the welcoming & hospitable nature of the friendly hosts. Whether you’re a carnivore or vegetarian there are a variety of options available & they all deliver on taste. Highly recommend the garlic butter scallops :). We recommend this place to all who ask & consider it a staple of dining options when in Koh Samui

We’ve eaten at a different restaurant in Bang Po every night of the week and this was the best. My Penang curry was delicious and the rest of my family agreed with their dishes. The staff were lovely, they apologised for the food being late….but this is the quickest we’ve had our food all week!!! The prices are also good for a Beach restaurant.

Fresh seafood. Delicious food. The best coconut shake on Koh Samui

Good place just at the sea shore. Cheap prices comparing to other beach places (Tom yam chicken 100THB, Tom Yam seafood 150THB). Decent portions.

Only stopped for a drink on a hot day but nice veiw and excellent service doesn't look flash from the outside but well worth stopping by and being well looked after even though we didn't have a meal.

We only tried mango and banana shakes. They were very good, although I think without milk the banana shake would have been better. 60 and 50 baht each.

If you wanna be shure to eat very good and fresh Thaifood, you have to come to Som.
Since 2 years I come here one times in week and I was always very happy 🙏 Simply the best 🩵

We had just a wonderful time here, very good sea food, friendly service and a gorgeous beach view for free.

We came here several times after looking for THAI owned businesses - lovely place right on the beach, peace and quiet, delicious food for a very good price, huge fresh coconuts and the owner is very friendly and kind. Highly recommended!!
