Samui Airport

From the moment you land, you will notice that this airport is uniquely different. An open air tram will transport you from the plane to the terminal.

The terminal itself is more like a holiday resort. Lots of greenery & landscaping. It's nothing like any airport that i have ever seen. It also has all the amenities that you will need. Very nice indeed.

The most relaxing open air airport in the world. The best time to fly is after the sun sets. The reason is you don't want to miss the experience of sitting on bean bags, deck chairs or swinging on a rope swing watching the sun set, as you sit by the runway watching the planes depart and arrive. There are boutique little shops and bars to spend your baht on last min gifts. There are snack bars at the departure gates with nibbles and drinks free.
It is a lovely airport and feels more like a shopping mall.
Plenty of sockets for last min phone charging and there is wifi available in the open air lounges.

The most beautiful airport I have ever seen. It is so scenic and feels like we are relaxing in a resort surrounded by greenery everywhere. Just so fresh and out of the box place. It's natural, vibrant and so stress free.

Lovely airport, tropical, easy check-in/security. Waiting areas by gates are outdoors so no AC but the blue ribbon VIP lounge accepts many programs and has AC, a wonderful assortment of dim dum, some cooked to order dishes, wine & beer.

Otherwise besides the lounge, there are several restaurants & bars, a massage parlor and little shopping boutiques. Free phone charging stations throughout the airport. Clean, spacious bathrooms. Plenty of pretty places to sit while you wait.

Parking is free for 25 min, then 20B for an hour I think. Taxis were available even when arriving late at night.

I really like this airport. If you prompted an AI to create an airport for a lush tropical island, this is probably what it would come up with :)
The whole place has a really relaxed and chill feel about it. Everything ist Open Air and laid out nicely. Plenty of tropical flowers, decorations and palm tress. There is even a fish tank on the toilets. The waiting areas at the gates are large and plenty of comfy seating is available. Additionally, there are plenty of stores and cafes to hang out in.
Only downside... There is no aircon, as there are no closed rooms. But if you travel to a tropical destination, you should be ready to deal with the heat anyways :)

quality airport , it looks like it could be a beach bar. outdoor everything from departure area to shopping and seating. really nice places to sit and good shops , also complimentary food and drinks is a nice touch

Amazing, most chilled airport which looks and feels like a resort. After you arrive they have quite good-priced taxi options, but Grab is not yet allowed on Samui.
If you fly from here - they have amazing waiting area with shops and cafes. Also gates are great, with some free snacks from Bangkok Airlines. Everything is fast and smooth.

Striking and panoramic views. Great service. Plenty of local shops and restaurants. Beautiful garden and do have smoking area. Bathrooms are clean and air conditioned. It’s a good idea if you can get there early. Can get busy at some point. After checking in, just go walk around the garden. You will love the views.

Prolly the best outdoor airport ive been, Singapore being the best on indoors. The way to the departure looks like it came straight from a Disneyland. There are lots of cafes both outside and inside the departure areas. There are swings you can use and even has complimentary food for Bangkok Airways.

When departing from here, feel free to get here early as there are MANY restaurants, cafes, and shops both outside of security and inside security. You could easily spend an hour or more relaxing. There are water refill stations by the gates, so bring an empty bottle. Also, please note that the gate areas are open air, so dress accordingly if it is hot out. #travelthailand

Unique airport in many ways, on arrival it should cost around 500 baht for a taxi to the airport. Check in with checked bags is included with Bangkok airways, super easy and friendly staff. After that you can see all the shops and chilling areas with bean bags. Once you have gone through security it has an open runway and it is a pleasure to be there. Free snacks and drinks flying with Bangkok airways. Full of praise for Bangkok airways in every way.

Best airport I have ever been too, all airports should take a note of this one, bonus is complementary snacks and water in departure lounge

Beautiful jungle feeling airport. You are „inside“ an airport but it feels more like being outside in the nature while waiting until your airplane is ready to depart and if you fancy a drink or some food there are plenty of options. I noticed a lot of people in either the bars or in the massage. Amazing vibes!

Fun little airport with a tropical island vibe. Has all big global car rentals available, which make life easier. Looks pretty, has a lot of comfortable seating, food and shopping options, smoking areas, self check in kiosks at the entrance and neat little buggies to get to your plane.

A collection of shops, cafés and restaurants make up the domestic departures. But not in one building as most are.

Samui International Airport is super cozy, giving off such chill vibes for everyone who swings by!

Quick heads-up: the boarding process is lightning fast, often taking less than 10 minutes to get everyone on board. This airport has cool dining and shopping spots, so it's a breeze to hang around in.

A lovely, small airport that's easy to navigate with super helpful staff - they even have a tiny customer courtesy booth in international departures. Also I cannot rave enough about the staff at Bangkok Airways check-in. They were super helpful and made our journey so much easier.

If you are boarding from Samui airport, ensure you reach early to spend some good times there ☺
