Khaw Glong Thai

Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere. We ate there three times, the first time we were lucky with a free table, the next time the restaurant was full, but it was not a problem, the waiter brought us chairs and we ordered drinks to make waiting for a free table more pleasant, the next time we were not disappointed either. Great food, fresh vegetables, quality of products really great. Another great convenience is the ability to choose the spiciness of the dishes. Our favorite dish so far is tom yum, but we still have many dishes to try and we will definitely visit again!

As for the service, she is very friendly and helpful ❤ The gentleman who served us came up to ask if the dishes were not too spicy, which was very nice. The decor is very atmospheric and, importantly, the restaurant is not on the main street, so it is not noisy ❤

Even though the staff lacks some knowledge in English to help you choose what to eat it basically doesn't matter as I think anything you would order from their menu would taste absolutely delicious. I had the red curry stir fried duck, some green vegetables with oyster sauce and mushrooms and of course some steamed rice. Food was delicious, makes you really slow down and enjoy all that flavour. With that a local craft lager and I paid for that 790 baht. A bit pricey, but considering it's Koh Samui I'd say probably similar to the competition. If you don't mind spending a few hundred baht extra you shouldn't think twice.

Oh yeah, how could I forget... you get some complimentary salty banana chips. Very nice addition :)

So many good restaurants there but this is amazing! Food taste, balanced. On the simple Thai they are adding specials. All what we taste there was really good!

Food was great ,the most and probably the best authentic Thai food experience in Chaweng beach or the whole Koh Samui.

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! The food here is incredible. Our order included Seafood Tom Yum Soup, Papaya Salad, Minced Pork with Basil, and Penang Curry with Chicken. Personally, I would make the journey back to Koh Samui solely for the Penang Curry and Minced Pork – they were that exceptional. The staff's friendliness and the ambiance add to the overall superb experience.

This was my 1st night in Thailand, so I couldn't wait to get tucked into some authentic Thai food and Khaw Glong Thai and its amazing staff delivered my expectations of eating in Thailand. We are a family of 6 with differing tastes and spice tolerances, they have a clear guide on what is suitable with myself having "3 - Thai spice level", I was questioned on my over enthusiasm but fortunately is was a perfect match for me. The food was incredible, I think my dish was the best, followed closely by the Basil and minced pork. Would recommend highly

Amazing authentic Thai food. We had loads of different dishes to share but the highlights were the tamarind ribs and the duck stir fry. Fresh food and great service could not recommend enough. Off the Main Street in a very quiet and charming area not touristy at all. The owner came to our table at the end of the meal and told us a bit about her restaurant she was so lovely

We returned to this restaurant after 3 years. Had the steam fish, tom yum soup and stir fried morning glory. Ingredients were very fresh. Cooking was authentic thai- style. Did not disapoint and highly recommended.

Nah is a delight. Truly authentic Thai food from an owner who really cares. Attentive staff and wonderful Thai cuisine. Highly recommended.

You most probably have to wait a bit outside but the food ist really good and worth the waiting. You decide how spicy you want it. Love it

We came here with a friend, we spent an amazing evening. Was the last night of my friend in Thailand actually and she couldn’t wish better for her last evening.
Food was delicious, we had wine, panang curry chicken & massaman chicken. Lot of meat, tasty sauce full of flavours…. Was ask no spicy but they said will be a little bit and that was perfect !

Service was amazing, even the cooker come to our table ask if it’s okay, and if we have question about the plate ! So so nice 🥺. Staff was really friendly, smiling, and they care about you.

Environnement is beautiful, well decorated.
At the end of our meal they offer us coconut ice cream (so far the best we had here!) was really nice attention. They also explain what was a confit fruit and what they do with it here in Thailand in cooking .. super interesting !

Was so sad to discover that place our last evening…. But so far the best place on food/service/ for a very good price on this island !

I am so luck to be at this restaurant shortly after their reopening. Every dish i have had is amazing, the presentation, the taste and and service. It is the best thai restaurant I have had in Thailand. The owners definitely have their minds, skills and heart in food restaurant business. Thank you

Great Thai restaurant off the main drag of Chaweng Beach Road, Chaweng, Koh Samui. Delicious fresh seafood with complex yet balanced flavours. Definitely one for the foodies!

Their curry is pure and fresh. Most enchanting! Also, go for the juicy and thirst quenching coconut shake. The dessert did not disappoint!

Great ambiance, great food.

There was a big queue when we arrived, but the restaurant managed it well, and the wait was shorter than I thought in the end.

Had the morning glory, shrimp tempura, and the stir fry curry duck - everything was super delicious and well presented. The virgin pina colada was the best I’ve ever had- it was a smooth frozen slushy.

Would 100% come back again.

Best Thai food in Cheweng for years. Good service but best of all - the authentic Thai food. Really recommended.

This is literally across the road from Central Samui which is in the popular Chewang Beach area.
Food is really authentic and nice. We ordered the pandan leaf chicken, pad kee maw with pork, massaman curry chicken and omelette with pork. All of the dishes were delicious witu our favorite being the pad kee maw and massaman curry.
Will definitely come back for my next visit to Samui.

What a little gem we have found in Koh Samui - Khaw Glong! Friendly staff, incredible food (spice adjusted perfectly!), and a relaxed vibe made it unforgettable. The friendly staff make you feel very welcome and the ingredients are mostly sourced from their own farm with other produce purchased from the local markets. I wasn't the largest Thai food fan until I came here (I've been twice - it's that good).
